Ever wonder why pokemon was told like a story its because it is one told by the man who lived it Ash Ketchum or better known as Satoshi Tajiri but now what happens when an average man dies and is told by Arceus that he is needed to help save the pokemon world well this is my story and how I help save the pokemon world this is That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Pokemon Trainer!

1. Chapter 1: Death and Reincarnation

Hello, my name is Luke. I was just an average 26 year old, just casually living life, worked a job, had a girlfriend, had a family that I loved and was about to even ask my girlfriend to marry me. One day as I was preparing to go to work a truck went barreling down the road and hit me and after I was hit opened my eyes I saw nothing but a white void. After what felt like hours i noticed something that caused my body to go limp i saw what i presumed to be a creature devoid of features next to it was 3 orbs one that looks like it was made of a high quality diamond the next seemed to be made from a large white and pink pearl and the last was a jagged yellow topaz. The more I look at the orbs the more I swear I have seen them somewhere before and it's then when it clicks in my mind and I uttered the word Arceus. The formless figure transformed into a giant White quadruped animal with golden trim and 18 plate like accessories fanning around its core. It was then a deep and powerful voice rang in my head. Arceus the god of the pokemon world, a world that I assumed was fictional, began speaking to me with telepathy.

"Human or should I call you by your previous name?"

"What is happening, why am I imagining an Arceus where am I."

" There is no easy way to say this but you are currently dead"

"Im…dead… ( Flashback end)

" As you know I am the creator of the pokemon world and these 3 orbs are pieces of my 3 children Dialga Palkia and Giratina " Said Arceus

" Wait stop, what do you mean pokemon don't exist i must be hallucinating this can't be real"

" The world of pokemon is indeed real"

" But it's impossible."

"The pokemon world that you know of is a far cry of what it truly is but the reason why is because the child known as Ash was once the sole chosen one that i appointed to save the pokemon world."

"But that doesn't explain to why it is a an anime in my world"

" The reason why is simple Ash Ketchum or should I say Satoshi Taijiri is one in the same"

" Wait so you're saying Ash died and was reincarnated into my world and remembered his past life so turned his previous life into a tv show?"

" Yes young Ash failed in his mission to save the pokemon world he was supposed to be my champion, my sole chosen one, The one to purge the darkness and evil but it was just too much for one child to accomplish and this is why you are here child. "

" So I am the new chosen one?"

"Not exactly. Ash or in your world Satoshi's goal was to spread the knowledge of pokemon and from there I seeked out 2 more who had the ability to match his love for pokemon and thus I found you someone who is near identical to Ash in every way he is but also possibly even more prodigal then he ever was and so I will be reincarnating you and implanting you in the world of pokemon to start your own journey the same time as Ash to help him and one other to save the pokemon world hopefully with the 3 of you the pokemon world will be saved"

" You said that you were searching for 2 others. Who is the other person you found? Can I meet them?"

"You will meet her on your journey im sure but for now all 3 of you must grow separately to hone your own skills"

" Save the pokemon world? How can i do that my knowledge is purely theoretical and there are definitely people who would be better for this job and who is this other person you found"

" Do not underestimate yourself, young one, the potential that I see within you is rare and can only be matched by few. I am sure you along with the other 2 chosen will succeed in protecting the pokemon world. All you must do is believe and you can reach that goal and you may even become the strongest who knows until you try."

" If you say so lord Arceus then i will do just that and I will try with all my power to succeed and protect this world that I will soon call home"

" Your knowledge of Pokemon will remain but how you know of this knowledge will be locked away for the time being until you're fully realized as one of the chosen. For now it is time for you to give you a gift for accepting this task"

The Griseous orb that was floating around near Arceus began to glow and in a flash of light appeared next to me and began to phase into my body and unknowingly turned my once brown eyes into a piercing golden topaz color and radiated with power

" I have entrusted you with one of my creations and when the time comes you will understand the purpose of it"

Both the Adamant and Lustrous orbs that were once floating next to Arceus faded away leaving no trace as if they were never there.

"Grow strong child and when the time comes for you and the others to face down the evil that will soon plague this world hopefully you all will be strong enough to defend against it"

" I promise Lord Arceus that I will do everything in my power to become strong enough to defeat this foe no matter who it is I will not fail you"

" It is time for you to begin your new life take these first 10 years and hone your knowledge embrace your new life and make a name for yourself in this vast world"
