Alexis calls Sam for support. "What's up, Mom?"

"It's Kristina. I'm worried. She is so focused on revenge. She stole one of Sonny's guns and is glad John Cates is dead. She swears she didn't kill him. She still wants Ava to pay despite Ava recanting her statement. You've seen how distraught she's been. She needs help."

"Please tell me you took the gun away. What did you do with it?"

"It's at the bottom of the river at the overlook bridge."

"Mom, that is insane. That is a terrible place to dispose of a gun. Is there anything else I should know?"

"Yeah, Ric and Elizabeth Baldwin saw me. I covered, but I don't think they believed me."

"Great! Ric and Elizabeth? Unbelievable, you know what he's going to do. Why was she with him?"

"They were walking and eating ice cream."

"Ice cream, go figure."

Chase knocks on the door, accompanied by a patrol officer. "Alexis, can you come with us to the PCPD?"

Sam says, "Why? What do you want my mother for?"

"We have a report of you throwing a gun off the overlook bridge. We have a crew dredging the river. Do you care to make a statement?"

"No, I have nothing to say unless I'm under arrest, then I'll bring my lawyer."

"John Cates was murdered two days ago; if we find a gun and it matches ballistics, You will be brought in for questioning."

Sam shuts the door after Chase and the officers leave. "Bastard! It was Ric. He has it in for you. He wants to pin Cates on you, or if he finds out Kristina was missing during those hours, he'll try to get payback for Molly. I was hoping he'd leave after the funeral."

"Keep your distance from Ric. He's dangerous. He'll bait you."

"Mom, I can handle Ric; I'm worried about Molly. She loves her father, and he's already sowing the tension between Molly and Kristina."

"I'm afraid your sisters will turn out like Sonny and Ric, hating each other."

"Don't worry, we won't let that happen."

Elizabeth and Jake go to the Quartermaine's to visit Monica. She promises to keep their visit short. They know she is resting and unable to get out. Jake kisses Monica's cheek, "Grandmother, how are you today."

"Better, thank you, Jake. What can I do for you?"

Elizabeth says, "Besides me, out of everyone in PC, you probably know my grandmother the best. Her 95th birthday is coming up, and I'm compiling a book and video statements of her work, life, and accomplishments. If you could make some calls and appointments, Jake will do the rest. Cameron, Steven, Sarah, and my dad will attend, and I'm hoping you will feel up to it to join us at the MC Ballroom."

"That is wonderful, Elizabeth. I would love to help. When is the special day?"

"Her birthday is November 2nd, but Jake is leaving October 1st, so we are holding it on the 29th. I know it's not much time, but Jake has gotten stuff from the family, so her work and friends are what's left."

"Of course, I can make calls from here. I wouldn't miss it. Audrey is lucky to have you."

"We are the lucky ones. I wouldn't have survived without my Gram helping me raise my boys and able to work at the same time."

"Jake says, "I love you, Grandmother. I'm glad you are feeling better. I'll return with a camera to take testimonials."

Elizabeth and Jake turn to leave to see Jason standing in the doorway. Elizabeth says, "This is a nice surprise. Hopefully, you are here to see Monica and not stalking me."

Jason smiles, "I came to see Monica but waited to hear your presentation. I can't say much about Audrey, but I would like to be there for her party."

"Jason, you don't have to come. I know you don't like parties."

"I love my son and want to see what he produces. Also, I love seeing you dressed up."

Elizabeth blushes, "Okay, I'll leave you to visit your mother." She walks by Jason, and his fingers lightly brush her shoulders as she passes.

Jason says, "Danny and I will work on my bike this afternoon. Would you like to help?"

Jake replies, "Sure, do you think I could ride sometime."

Jason looks over to Elizabeth, and she says, "I was younger than him my first time, so sure, as long as he wears a helmet, but don't take the cliff roads."

Jason grins, he thinks, "That is only reserved for us." He agrees and tells Jake to be at the shop by 3 pm.

Sam storms over to the MC to see Ric. He opens the door and grins. "Hmm, I wonder why you are here. Do you want to come in?"

"I wouldn't be caught dead in a room alone with you. I came here to tell you to leave my mother the fuck alone. How do you think Molly will feel knowing you turned on her mother? You haven't changed. You are still a vindictive prick. Why don't you do everyone in PC a favor and leave?"

"Oh, sweet Sam, I can't do that. I'm representing Heather Webber in her appeal and lawsuit."

Sam shudders at the nickname. "Heather Webber is a psycho bitch who deserves to stay in prison. I wish you'd join her. Stay away from me; stay away from my mother and Kristina. Heaven help Molly."

Sam turns and walks off. Ric snidely smiles, "Oh, I'll be seeing you soon. Don't worry, you won't see me coming." He shuts the door and places some calls.

Later that afternoon, Jake and Danny go to Jason's shop and watch him work on his bike; he explains the parts and lets them explore the engine.

Elizabeth checks on John Doe and notices a strange man in scrubs hovering around the stranger's room. She notifies Jordan, and Jordan places a guard outside the man's room.

Lucky and Holly escape their captors and bump into Laura and Kevin as they leave the compound.
