I do not own the Boy/Girl Battle Series.
Beth is in 10th grade and Josh is in 11th grade. You do the math.
"Beth wake up!" Eddie yelled, waking up her younger sister.
Beth grumbled and sat up in her bed, glaring at her older sister.
"You wanna be late for school?" Eddie declared, returning Beth's stare.
Beth grumbled once more and threw her blankets over her body. After quickly making her bed, Beth hollered, "Caroline! School! Let's go!"
"I already tried that, she's dead as a stone." Eddie said to Beth. "You get dressed, I'll try to wake her up one last time."
Beth decided to wear her favorite lilac purple sweater, wearing a black tank top under it, paired with her black skirt. She put on white tights and platform Mary Jeans.
Beth quickly styled her hair into a low messy bun, leaving curled strands of her hair up front. She left her room to find Eddie shaking her head in annoyance.
" I screamed into her ears; nothing." Eddie said in disbelief. Beth sighed.
"She'll just have to fend for herself today." She said. The two older Malloys decided to leave the house and started walking to school. Beth quickly noticed the Hatfords leaving their house as soon as the girls crossed the swinging foot bridge.
"Hey Malloys," said Jake in a cheery voice, "Where's Caroline?"
"Sleeping still, she completely wiped." Eddie said, rolling her eyes.
Josh chuckled and subtly nudged Wally in the side. Wally returned that with a glare.
"Anyways, Eddie, what'd you get for the homework? Josh is no help." Jake asked.
"Hey!" Josh exclaimed.
Eddie chuckled and the two went to talk about their homework.
Finally the six kids made it to school and met up with the Bensons.
"What up!" Steve said.
"Hey Steve." Everyone said. Eddie and Jake went to hang out with Steve and Tony while Wally drifted to Bill and Danny, leaving Beth and Josh by themselves. Beth smiled at him and headed off to class before he could say anything to her.
After school, back at home, Beth was packing all the books she'd read with Wally, and Caroline was bugging her.
"Beth I'm telling you, he was acting weird." Caroline said, following Beth as quick as possible around the house. Beth had all the books packed, and was ready to bolt out the door.
"I don't know, that sounds like Wally." Beth said doubtfully. She rolled her eyes, she was just trying to get Caroline off her back.
"Beth." Caroline gave her sister a look. "You're like his best friend."
"Girl best friend." Beth corrected. "I'm not as high up as Bill or Danny, whom, you should be telling this to." Beth was getting annoyed even more with the conversation, understanding it's root.
"Please as if. You know I can't talk to them after the March Incident." Caroline said with air quotes. Beth chuckled at her.
"Not my problem. I can still talk to Tony and Eddie can still talk to Steve normally." Beth dismissed. "Besides, that was, what, 5 years ago? Girl, c'mon."
"Beeeth," Caroline whined, "pleeeeaaassseee."
"You sound so annoying when you do that." Beth said. "Ok fine I'll ask him."
"You will? Beth you're the best!" Caroline squealed, hugging the life out of her sister.
"Ok, ok, ok! You can let go of me now!" Beth yelled.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" Caroline yelled.
"Ok, ok, I need to go now." Beth said, gathering her things and walking out the door. As soon as she was out, Beth started giggling.
"Crazy Caroline." She muttered to herself. All of a sudden, her phone buzzed.

"Not even 5 steps out of the house." Beth thought, annoyed.
Finally, she arrived at the Hatfords house. She ringed the doorbell.
"I'll get it!" Josh yelled. She smiled at his voice. Soon the door opened and she saw Josh's eyes fill with panic for a split second.
"Wally's home right?" Beth asked. She looked over at the couch, which Josh seemed to be trying to cover up. She noticed his sketchbook laying down on it, open to a page that looked very similar to her.
"U-um yeah! Wally!" Josh yelled, stepping towards the couch to prepare to jump onto it, hiding the drawing. "Come in."
Beth smiled and stepped in. Josh ran and jumped onto the couch as he planned. Beth chuckled at his dorkiness and closed the door behind her. She had grabbed her plaid shawl with colors of peach, gray and black and she was wearing her favorite Converse shoes with blue jeans and a black and white sweater.
Wally came downstairs with wet hair having just taken a shower wearing a white shirt and pajama pants.
"Cmon." was all he said. Beth went upstairs into Wally's room, and opened her bag revealing the books they planned to read.
As she stepped upstairs, she heard the two brothers talking, but couldn't quite catch onto the words. Eventually, Wally came upstairs to his room, but he left the door open.
"So what do we have today?" Wally asked.
Beth started to list off all the books she brought, plus their PageTurners books they needed to read, when she noticed Wally looked distracted.
"Penny for thought?" Beth asked. Wally took a penny off his desk and threw it at her. "Hey, you just looked distracted! What's on your mind?"
Wally blushed a tad. "Your sister." He mumbled.
"What?" Beth asked.
"Nothing." Wally said dismissively.
"No I heard you I just wasn't expecting that answer." Beth said. "Come to think of it, Caroline was asking me to ask you why you were acting weird in class today."
"How'd you know it was Caroline?" Wally asked, almost jumping.
"That, and the fact you and Eddie don't have any common interests cause she and Jake are practically meant to be, and you and Eddie don't talk or even see each other often." Beth explained.
Wally couldn't respond to her reasoning so he stayed quiet.
"Sooo you have a thing for my sister?" Beth asked, no longer excited about the books.
"I think so."
Beth squealed with delight.
"You should tell her!" She said excitedly.
"No way, she probably doesn't feel the same." Wally said, looking out the window.
"Hmmm, I wouldn't too sure of that." Beth said.
Wally turned to look at Beth. "Just drop it. It's not going to happen."
"Wally, I'll tell you this right now. If you don't tell Caroline, I assure you, you will regret it for the rest of you life." Beth said seriously.
"Only if you tell Josh how you feel too." Wally said. Beth felt her fale grow pale. Her body tensed up.
"Wally, Josh and I, we didn't work out and-" A million thoughts flooded Beth's head. She felt her breathing increase. Her heart was pounding.
"He still likes you." Wally said, returning to the window.
"What?" Beth asked. How? I hurt him. Why would anyone give me a second chance?
"He still likes you. Always has. Never got over you." Wally repeated.
"I'll think about it Wally. But you should tell her." Beth said softly.
"I'll think about it."
"Hey Wally, keep thinking of what I told you, ok?" Beth said. She was now leaving the Hatford house.
"Ok I will." Wally said. As Beth turned to walk back to her house, Josh turned to Wally.
"What she tell you?" He asked.
"Chill out dude!" Wally said.
"Wally. Please. Tell me." Josh said.
Wally blushed. "I don't want to tell you, you'd tease me."
"You're thinking of Jake, who," Josh looked around, "isn't here right now. Tell me."
"Fine." Wally said, his voice dropping down to a whisper, "I might have a crush on Caroline."
"Might?!" Josh asked. "Dude, its definitely not might have."
Wally glared at him.
"Hey, all I'm saying is, if you truly like her, you'd feel it in your heart."
"I also told Beth you still like her." Wally said.
"WHAT!" Josh yelled.
"Huh, what'd I miss?" Jake said, walking through the door.
"I can't believe you did that!" Josh screamed at Wally.
"Woah woah woah, what's going on?" Jake asked.
"Josh, she'd probably would've gone on with her life if she never knew, and you didn't look like you'd be telling her soon." Wally reasoned.
"That doesn't give you any right to tell her that!" Josh screamed. He then ran to his room and slam the door shut.
Josh was fuming when he arrived in his room that he shared with Jake.
How could he? Josh thought. He sat there stewing even until Jake came upstairs to sleep.
"I hate it when you guys fight you know." Jake said.
"You probably don't even know what it was about." Josh replied angrily.
"Hey, look on the bright side. You may have a better chance of asking her out again." Jake said casually. When Josh looked over at him, Jake smirked smugly. Josh laughed.
"Shut up man."
Wally knocked numbly on the twins' door.
"Come in." Josh said weakly. Wally went in and sat into a chair next to Josh's bed.
"I'm sorry."
"What does it matter now? She knows." Josh replied numbly.
"It slipped out when she was telling me to tell ... you know." Wally said, well aware of Jake in the next bed. Josh smiled.
Josh chuckled. "I get it." Josh shot a glare to his twin, who shrugged helplessly. He remembered February.
"We cool?" Wally asked, extending his hand.
"Cool." Josh said, taking it.
"Thank goodness, I can't stand it when you guys are mad at each other." Jake said. Josh and Wally chuckled.
