I wish I had never let my BFF read all my stories. She won't stop bugging me to post, so here goes another one. I hope you guys enjoy it. This one will feature a few of our favorite bad and good guys from the past.

Chapter One

Steve Office

-"Adam had just returned from seeing Kono in Las Vegas. He went into Steve's office.

-"Hey man, how was your trip?

-"It was sort of great and hard at the same thing.

-" How that? Ask Steve.

-"I love Kono and understand what she is doing. I miss her and want her to come home, but she is hell-bent on saving as many girls as possible. I sort of said to her that if our marriage was going to work, we needed to be in the same city. She needs to be in the same city as me in Oahu. I can't leave Hawaii because it is my home, and I still have my business to run. She won't give up her job just yet and asks me to wait. I told her no, and she is choosing to be in a place that I am not.

-"That hit Steve hard, and he remembered saying that same thing to Catherine. Hoping she changes her mind about leaving.

-"Adam said you okay Steve? He could see how his face demeanor had changed to something like regret.

-" Ah yeah, just make sure you don't lose the love of your life and end up alone because you want her to do things your way.

-" Sure, look Steve, I wasn't sure if I should say anything to you. I know you seeing someone named Lynn. You been there for me so I think I should at least tell you.

-"Tell me what?

-" Kono & I went out to dinner with Catherine.

-"What?" he certainly didn't expect to hear that from Adam.

-"Kono didn't tell you because she didn't want to interfere in your life, and we both owe Catherine so much. She was in town for a meeting with the CIA.

-" Oh, good for her.

-" Uh, she did ask how you were doing?

-" I said you were doing good, even though I know it was a lie.

-"Adam, Catherine and I made our peace on the mission to rescue my mom. I moved on.

-"I know, and that's why I felt it was okay to tell you she was there with her boyfriend.

-" Steve felt like he had been punched in the gut. He tried not to show it.

-"Yeah, he is a big-time lawyer for the CIA. He seems like a nice guy. She told Kono he wanted to marry her but she was not sure she was quiet ready.

-"Steve was fuming on the inside.

-" I shut up if you want me to.

-"No, it's okay, go ahead. Steve wanted more info without showing he was interested.

-" Adam knew what he was doing, he knew Steve wasn't happy with Lynn and Catherine with her guy. The eyes don't lie. He wants the two stubborn people to finally admit they are each other endgame. Well, the guy pulled me aside, asking if I knew anything about her ex, meaning you. He said he was in love with her, but so far, she is keeping him at a distance, and he thinks it has to do with her ex named McGarrett.

-"What did you say?

-" I said that you two had a long history, but it was over, and you are just friends.

-"I see, and he sighed low, hoping Adam didn't hear it and said that was good.

-"Look Steve ,you can tell me to mind my own business if you want. I have watched you two together for years and know how much you love and care for oneanother. Kono always said, you two are the real deal.

-"Damn, that cut him to the heart thinking about what Freddy said to him before their last jump.

-"If you want to see her, she is going to be in Las Vegas for another week; after her meeting, she will be training some new CIA officers. I said my peace and hope we are okay.

-"We are fine, man. Thanks for telling me. Don't give up on Kono either.

-"I won't, and he left, hoping his message got through and made the stubborn Seal spring into action.

-"Steve was in pieces. He had tried so hard to fool everyone he was over Catherine. He was not, and especially after helping his Mom, he knew he was still in love with her. He was so tired of Lynn and had been from after day one. It helps keep Danny and Lou off his back and whispers behind his back, poor Steve has been dumped twice. He pretended he was happy with Lynn. He could only be with her if he were drunk. Wishing it was Catherine and calling her Cath's name a couple of times.

-" Steve knew that one Valentine's time, he needed to make it up to her so she wouldn't blab to Melissa and then to Danny. He didn't want to hear it. Lynn took that as he cared about her and needed time to get over his ex. Valentine's weekend was a disaster. He agreed to it when he was drunk, and he knew she paid a lot for it, so he did it out of quilt but had no intention of sleeping with her again.

-"Steve had already been thinking about Catherine nonstop and had the feeling lately it was more to her joining the CIA. Back then, he had been more pissed, and his pride hurt to see there was more to her leaving. He did ask her on the way to rescue to get his mom, but she said she didn't want to lie to him, and she knew he was happy now, and there was no need to rehash. They needed to focus on rescuing her. He wanted to talk to her, but she kept brushing him off, saying they said everything and he was going home to his girlfriend.

-"Catherine never told him all the nasty things Lynn said to her and she didn't know they were all lies.

-"Steve immediately book a flight to Las Vegas. He tells the team that Kono calls him for help. He texts Kono and asks her to cover for him and explains later.

-"Kono already knew why he was coming and couldn't be happy. She texted back and said no problem boss and I can pick you up.

-"Thanks Kono and see you soon he texted back.

-" He went to the bullpen where Danny, Lou, Tani, and Jr were already looking at a case on the monitor. Adam had left and had gone home. He had another day of vacation.

-" Steve said I am going to take off for a couple of days and go to Vegas.

-" Danny said, you eloping with Lynn, and laughed.

-"Steve rolled his eyes at him and ignored him. Kono asks me to come and help her with a case.

-" Do you she need me to go with you? Ask Danny.

-" No, she said she only needed me. Danny will lead the team. I am leaving shortly, so I need to head home and pack.

-"By Boss and good luck said everyone.

-"Danny was following him. Are you sure you don't need me, Steve? I am sure Danny. Why couldn't Adam help her? I don't know, she said it was something I could help with her. I trust her. I do too; I just wish I was going with you.

-" Hey, why don't you take Lynn? You two can also enjoy Vegas.

-" Will you give it a rest? How many times do I have to tell you I am not into her and need to break it off?

-"Yeah, but you haven't had you. That means you really like her.

-"You know what? I had it with you. Stay the fuck out of my life. I do not love Lynn and never will. As soon as I get back, I will break up with her. She is not the girl for me.

-" Is anybody Steven but Catherine?

-" Keep Catherine's name out of your fucking mouth. I mean it Danno. Steve was pissed.

-"The team heard them yelling at each other. I think Danny going too far now said Lou.

-"Junior said I know he has; he told me he's sick of him setting up double dates all the time, and he really doesn't like Lynn. I think he is still in love with Catherine.

-" Tani said Junes, you don t know that, and didn't she lie and leave him twice? At least that is what Danny said.

-"Yes, she did, but he hasn't been the same since she left said Lou. Danny and I did our best to get him to date and move on. I think he tried, but you could tell his heart was not in it, and it certainly wasnot love.

-"Steve told Danny to go back and lead the team and he left. He loved Danny like a brother, and he was his best friend. Sometimes, he got on his last nerves with his rants, especially about Catherine. He didn't have time to think about him now. His mission is to get Catherine and finally have the talk they should have had after Kono's wedding.

-"It is no more living in denial; he still loves her and realizes he took her for granted. Treat her like a team member instead of his girl. Allowing Danny to come over when he wants when they want to be alone. She never complained but knew she was disappointed that there was no alone time together. He knew she was hurt seeing Lynn and the romantic dinner, but she told him she hoped things would work out for them. She had always put him first at her own expense. For so long, he was mad and bitter about her leaving him for the CIA. In truth, what did he do to prove he didn't want her to go? Listen to others bad mouth her and not take up for her. He never agreed with what they said or stopped them.
