I suddenly found myself on the ground after minding my own business and bumping into someone who's hair was in three different colors.
For those who aren't aware, my name's Perry Dragonheart.
I get to my feet and pick a circular object up off the ground.
My deck is then picked up off the ground and dusted off.
"Sorry about that."
'Might as well head to the entrance exams.' I thought, making my way to the Kaiba Dome to get there early.
Hopefully, I would be in a high-ranking dorm after the entrance exams.
I used a deck that was a hybrid of Yugi Muto's and Joey Wheeler's.
The deck's main liner was Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, a very powerful fusion monster summoned through the materials Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Dark Magician.
Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon was taken out and inspected before being placed back into the deck box.
Before long, I had arrived at the Kaiba Dome and scaled the wall.
"Hello." I greeted some people working at a desk.
My arrival had been timed well because registration hadn't ended.
"Write your name down on this." A clipboard was handed to me.
Filling it out didn't take very long and soon I headed inside.
"This is going to be good." I smirked at the competition.
Dozens of others were also enrolling in Duel Academy with me. Several of them were already wearing red, yellow and blue blazers.
Zane was entertaining Alexis, who wanted to see the new blood of Duel Academy, and so far, no one had attracted his interest. That was until he felt a disturbance at the entrance exam. His head snaps to that direction; he had always trusted his sixth sense. First with Cyber Dragon, then with Atticus and Alexis. Now...
Activating his dormant Duel Disk, he stood up abruptly without saying a word, his Obelisk Blue coat flapping as he walked down from the stands, causing Alexis and most of the duelists in the dome to stare at the Kaiser. They put two and two together once they witnessed the Kaiser himself head straight towards the duelist that just entered.
The truth was, he had seen some of the cards in this duelist's deck and some of it's aces attracted his attention. Does his potential match them?
'Zane's going to duel him. What for?' Alexis thought.
"You're hoping to enter the academy, right?" Zane asked.
I slowly nod, not surprised that he knew that.
"I'm going to show you what it's like to face someone already enrolled there."
"Looking forward to it." My duel disk activated.
"DUEL!"
Perry: 4000
Zane: 4000
"Since you're the challenger, I'll let you go first." Perry offered.
Zane drew Drillago.
"I summon Drillago (1600/1100) in attack mode!"
He then set a card face down to end his turn.
"Your move."
Perry drew a card and looked at the 6 cards in hand.

"I'll start my turn with Pot of Greed."
Drawing two cards and then placing it in the graveyard, I take another look at my hand.
Red-Eyes Fusion and Fissure. These would come in handy.
"I activate Fissure."
Drillago was destroyed.
"Now, I play Red-Eyes Fusion!"
Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Dark Magician were placed into the graveyard.
"Say hello to Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon!"
Zane: 2600
He passed his turn with a face down.
"Nice move." Zane smirked after drawing. "But this duel's over. I use Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your face down."
"I'll use Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's effect to negate Mystical Space Typhoon." Perry placed Dangerous Machine Type-6 in the graveyard.
"With no monsters on my field, I special summon Cyber Dragon (2100/1600) in attack mode."
"Go, Power Bond! I fusion summon the Cyber End Dragon (4000/2800)!"
Power Bond made it's attack 8000, more than enough to finish this with a single attack.
"Super Strident Blaze!" Cyber End Dragon's three heads each fired a blast of energy that enveloped Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, wiping out all of Perry's life points.
Perry: 0
Everyone in the audience was left speechless.
'Would he know my brother's whereabouts.' Alexis thought.
If that was the case, she intended to find out.
