A/N: This fic is inspired by the Monkey D Haru series written by EmmaIveli, which has been a delight and fun read. I do recommend reading them.

Chapter 1: The Boy who vanishes

Hogwarts: Dumbledore's Office

10 years, it has been 10 years since the tragic deaths of Lilly and James Potter, both fell victim to the notorious Dark Wizard Lord Voldermort, a name which the magic community of Great Britain fear the most that he is referred to as "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" or "You-Know-Who". But that's not the worst of the tragedy unfortunately for there was a supposed third victim, Lily and James's 1 year old son Harry, who if the rumours believe is responsible for the downfall of the Dark Lord.

Aurors who investigated the scene of the crime and say that young Harry is nowhere to be seen, only the dead bodies of Lily and James which were later given their burial later on, and the charred dark robes of Voldemort when his killing curse Avarda Kedarva backfired in his attempt to kill Harry. It is unclear if Harry survived since no one has found him, some believed that he died by Voldemort and became a martyr, but some hoped that Harry is alive and somewhere, but are yet to find him.

However, the search of Harry has ended when the Minister Cornelius Fudge has declared him dead, but Albus Dumbledore think otherwise, especially when two years after the incident there has been sightings of a toddler with messy black hair, wearing glasses and bearing a lighting shaped scar were reported in random areas of Magical Britain, at first it was overlooked as either a hoax or a mere coincidence, especially when one of the Daily Prophet articles were written by one Rita Skeeter, a reporter known for her bias and exaggeration.

That is until Dumbledore came to spot the boy curiously wandering around the castle, surprised to see the boy which minister declared dead and wanted to check to see if it was in fact Happy. Sadly Dumbledore never got the change to get even close when Argus Filch, Hogwart's Squib Caretaker foolishly scared off the boy who just simply vanished in thin air.

This surprised Dumbledore even more as saw Harry disapparate at such a young age, if it was disapperation in the first place. Could this be the reason why and how Harry vanished and was never sighted until two years later?

He never saw Harry after that, perhaps Filch scared poor Harry away for good, but it did confirm the headmaster that he is alive, but is he safe. If vanishing in thin air after being scared acts as a defence mechanism for the toddler then Dumbledore can be very sure that he is safe. If only he knew where Harry is staying with, since there is no way, he'll be with the Dursleys, who are what remain of Harry's family on his mother's side.

8 years later, Dumbledore patiently waited while keeping tabs on outside Hogwarts until it is time for Harry to be reintegrated into the Magical World, but he has a feeling that Harry is already aware of magic if he used what believed to be apperation. He'll get his answers soon once Harry is at Hogwarts and is willing to tell him what happened in those 10 years...vanishing from Magical Britain.

Hopefully Dumbledore could finally track Harry to his unknown location, for he has a plan when he is writing a letter of school admission to said boy for is now old enough to attend. Scrolling on the paper with his quill and in green ink. Dumbledore pulls out his wand and taps on the letter, causing it to fold in thirds and them stuffs itself in an envelope.

"There" Dumbledore when suddenly the door to his office came a knocking and the headmaster look up from his desk to face the door. "Enter"

The door opens and entering his office came an old witch dressed in emerald robes and a black witch's hat which has a couple of long brown feathers tied to the rim. She is Professor Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts as well has Head of Gryffindor, one of the School Houses, and teacher of Transfigurations.

"Afternoon, Albus" said McGonagall "I trust that the letters for the first years are ready." Said McGonagall.

"Indeed, they are" said Albus smiling under his extremely long grey beard. "In fact, I was just finishing off the last letter."

McGonagall look down to see the finished letter and noticed the name written on it, she frowns slightly and then at Dumbledore.

"Are you sure about this, it's been a long time since we saw Harry, albeit it be it briefly," said McGonagall.

"It is time, Minerva" said Dumbledore as he stands up from his desk and picks up the letter. He makes his way towards a gold perch where a beautiful red bird which the shades on it's feathers and plumage match that of fire. "I know that an Owl can track Harry without an address, but Fawkes can, Phoenixes are keen trackers, especially at those who cannot be found."

"And do you think he'll come here?" said Mcgonagall who is feeling sceptic, considering that Harry has been absent to the magical world for 10 years.

"He did once?" Said Dumbledore raising his grey brow about his half moon glasses.

"Oh aye, but he was only a wee toddler the last time he came" said Mcgonagall "I doubt he would ever remember his curious visit. And beside, we don't know who is raising him or where he is living right now."

"Which is why I am using Fawkes, Minerva" said Dumbledore "and if he decides to come back or not is entirely his choice. If not, at least he'll be completely safe from harm from Voldemort."

Mcgonagall winces when Dumbledore mentioned the Dark Lord by his name, which is no surprise since she like the others who fear him despite his supposed death. But hearing the latter does put her some ease as the last thing she want is Harry to be harmed by that Evil man.

"And if he does"

"Then I'll do within my power to keep him safe" said Dumbledore as he turns to give Mcgonagall a reassuring smile. He ties the let on Fawke's left leg, the phoenix gave out a beautiful trill so it will let his master know he is ready. "Fly, Fawkes, find Harry and deliver him this letter. Bring him home."

Fawkes calls out in response as he spreads out it's wings and flaps them, he soars up and circles around to circle over the office for a few times before he is engulf into flames and vanishes. Dumbledore and McGonagall aren't shocked by this for they know this is how phoenixes travel.

"I hope you know what you are doing, Albus" said McGonagall

"Have faith, Minerva" said Albus "As I have faith in Harry."

Meanwhile

In another realm that is different to the one where Hogwarts and the rest of the magical community stands. The world we now see consists of 4 oceans known as Blues, which are divided by what the populace call "Lines". The Red Line, a vast continental ring of land that circles the globe, and the Grand Line a strip of water which, unlike the 4 Blues, has abnormal magnetism which no compass can be used to safely navigate through, not to mention various islands and countries with permanent seasons which last all year round due to the Grand Line's abnormal magnetic field.

This is a world where pirates are the norm, where they rule the seas under a King, a Pirate King who has gained one hell of a reputation that shook the entire world with fear and admiration. The Pirate King is named Monkey D Luffy, commonly known as Straw Hat due to the obvious which he wears on his head. Straw Hat Luffy and his crew survived the dangers and challenges in their voyage as they reached the mystic island known as Raftel to obtain the legendary treasure called the "One Piece" which the previous Pirate King Gol D Roger has left to those wishing to claimed after his death.

Sure getting the One Piece is great for Luffy, but going though a lot to obtain it was incredible for it was quite the adventure as a pirate for the current King. This crew may think differently due to how reckless their captain is...it would go the same for his heir. His son, although not of blood but regardless, has gain quite the reputation of his own.

And the young prince is in the middle of trouble right about now.

"Stop!"

Right in a Summer Island located at the edge between the Grand Line and the East Blue, a city where all the buildings are beautifully painted white and topped with red roof tiles, we can find a young boy of 10 years old close to being 11, making a runner with a red bundle in his hand. Chasing after him is a group of men and women, some that are abnormally tall and big for any human despite being, all are wearing white sleeveless vests with blue ascots around their collars and a white and blue cap bearing a blue symbol resembling a seagull flying on the base. They are the navy, enforcers of justice for the World Government and sworn enemy to all pirates who they trying to incarcerate and execute. And the reason they are after this boy is because he is in fact a pirate himself.

"I said Stop, Potter!"

"Fat chance!" said the young pirate as he turns to face them while running so that he can blow raspberries at them. "If you couldn't arrest my Dad, what makes you think you can arrest me. HA!"

"Oh the cheek of him! I hope they throw him into the lower levels of Impel Down for this"

The boy rolled his eyes as he turns his head back to where he is running, and catching his side view he noticed something nailed to a wall. He snatches it to get a good look at it, it is a wanted poster which the navy post around to that bounty hunters can see. The poster is his, and it reads:

Wanted: Dead or Alive

Harry "The Vanishing Boy" Potter

Reward: 250'000'000 B

"Ha, ha, awesome they increased my bounty again" said Harry as he looks at the new mugshot of his poster. And they got my good side, too."

The picture of his poster is somewhat similar to what his father's was on his first wanted poster, he is smiling like an idiot while in the background shows a broken window of one of the Marijois chateaus while a shouting celestial dragon leans out with rage on his face, the bubble headed noble has features which say resembles that of a purple faced walrus and with him a skinny, middle aged horse faced woman displaying an expression of shock and fear.

Unfortunately for Harry, he did not see a third celestial dragon, for whom he remembered to be a fat spoiled brat which he could say he resembles a pig in a blonde wig. But despite the disappointment that the photographer failed to capture that noble on camera, he loved the picture anyway.

Now, you would think that a mere boy pirate wouldn't have that big of a bounty. But unless you are the son of the Pirate King, then it to reason (although it is a bit extreme) to have that amount for his arrest. Of course, this was not the first bounty he had on his head, for it was updated only a few months ago. His first bounty was given to him at a very young age, 3 years old he was just after when the Straw Hats were united after separation back at the Sabaody Archipelago. Luckily, he was with his adopted mother during the separation.

He gained his reputation as the Vanishing Boy when reports of a wandering toddler was causing trouble in various Navy Bases, and in a few chateaus in Marijois. Despite the minor offenses like breaking and entering, and cases of property damage when he was touching and breaking valuable antiques, the Celestial Dragons were outraged by this and demanded the boy to pay dearly for his transactions. Of course, Harry was oblivious of what he did at the time for he was only a toddler, but those pompous arrogant nobles only care about their own pride that they would not forgive some mischief caused by a little boy who doesn't know better. But before the marines or the royal guards of Marijois could apprehend the boy, he just vanished in thin air and was never seen again, that is until he was sighted again a few times, raiding various sweet shops at various islands in the Grand Line. And breaking in the chateaus again all because they have the best toys to play with.

His first bounty at the time was worth 30 million beris, just like his father during his early days as a pirate in the East Blue. His mother was not happy about this for she didn't want the World Government to go after him just because he is now a child of a notorious pirate.

But his notoriety didn't end there, for the World Government became aware of the Vanishing Boy's connection with the Straw Hats when they learned that he is the adopted son of Straw Hate Luffy. Thus increasing his bounty to 100 million beris. And throughout his childhood, his bounty kept on increasing for every crime and mischief he committed, not to mention dodging the navy and bounty hunters of capture. His father boasted with pride and laughs at his antics, his mother however partially disapproves.

Then there are the case of disappearing items, from food, Beris, sweets and toys, obviously that is caused by the vanishing boy as managed to swipe everything he wants and no body knows how he did it. Speaking of which, Harry was just doing some swiping which explains the red bindle in his hand. He was up to his trouble making again and was caught red handed by the marines who ambushed him and are trying to arrest him.

And now he is on the run, trying to escape the pursuit of the marines by going though ever nook and cranny of this humble village, using his short stature and young vitality to his advantage, especially when a few of his pursuers are abnormally tall than any average human.

"Looks like they are losing me" said Harry as he looks back to see that the marines are now farther on his tail. He looks away with a grin slows down for a moment. "I think it's time for me to vanish. Blink!"

And like that, he vanishes. He suddenly vanishes in thin air before the marines could catch up. They all stop when Harry is nowhere to be seen, all looking confused and frustrated that some of the starts throwing their navy caps down and stomping.

"Damn that vanishing brat! He no blood better than that menace of a father!"

"Careful, you know who his father is, right?"

"Yeah and I don't give a damn! That brat would've given me a promotion, and yet he eludes us...again!"

The marines call the chase off since Harry is nowhere to be seen, Harry vanished from their sight and reappeared on the rooftops of the village church. He keeps himself hidden and smiles as he starts unwrapping the bundle. It contains various potions of cured meat which he swiped from the butchers. Not to mention a small bag of sweets and a small bundle of 10'000 beri notes, which estimates about a few million beris in total. A small fortune to benefit his successful heist.

"Ha, ha ha, that was fun" said Harry as he stuffs the bundle of beris in his jacket and starts to enjoy the content of his heist. "Since Uncle Sanji forbade everyone to enter the kitchens, I might as well help myself elsewhere."

"Was that the reason you weren't at the Sunny?"

"Huh?" Said Harry when someone is now behind him, blocking the sun and forming a shadow to cover him. He looks over his shoulder and starts sweating nervously at the person behind him. She is a beautiful woman in her late 20s, with long ginger hair and brown eyes. She is wearing a white blouse which hugs well with her buxom chest and with a v shaped collar which generously shows her pressed cleavage. She is also wearing a pair of shorts that expose her long smooth legs and a pair of heeled sandals. On her hip she has a short iron pole that is orange and yellow in colour as well as pouch on the other side.

This is Monkey D Nami, Navigator and Thief of the Straw Hat Pirates, and wife of the Pirate King which means that she is the Pirate Queen. Her presence equals the notoriety as her husband's, and many would run in fear if she is known, especially when she can use the weather as a weapon.

Harry nervously smiles at this woman and stands up hesitantly to greet her reluctantly.

"Hi, mum"

She is also Harry's adopted mother, and Harry as the right be nervous around her for she can have quite the temper if angered.

BONK

And when she is angry, expect pain.

"Ow, why do you do that?" Harry said as rub his head after Nami bonked him on the head.

"Do you have any idea how long it took me to find you, Harry Potter?" Nami said as she starts pulling on Harry's cheek, causing the boy to yelp in pain.

"Ow, ow, stop you're hurting me!"

"Oh, you know when I'm hurting you, Boy!" said Nami as she let go of Harry's cheek which made the boy drop down to his knees. "Once again, your cheeky antics have stirred up the marines more than they should. And I was hoping for a break after so long of pirating."

"But being a pirate is fun" said Harry as he turns his attention to his stash in his bindle. "And besides, Uncle Sanji forbade me from entering the kitchens for a snack."

"He forbade everyone, Harry" said Nami "Even me, despite his usual swooning over me and Robin"

"I think it's funny that he still does that, considering that he is married with Aunt Pudding" said Harry as he chuckled at the fact that the crew's cook Sanji Vinsmoke is still a womanizer after the years of being a married man.

BONK

"Ow"

"Don't you change the subject, ever since you ate that damn devil fruit you made such a mess with yourself, especially riling up the celestial Dragons, just like that idiot of a father of yours." Said Nami as she let go of Harry's cheek. "Then again, I am partially responsible too."

"You say that like it's a bad thing, mum" said Harry giving her a reassuring smile. "Sure I am reckless, but I am always careful and don't get into conflicts that would endanger my life. Those Marines before merely grunts I like to tease now and then, I wouldn't go around and challenge a Captain, a Vice-Captain or, Oda forbid an Admiral."

"And you better hope not, you're only a boy and not yet ready to face the high ranking Marines, let along rival pirates on your own." Said Nami "But enough of this, it's time to go home."

"You want me to warp us there, it'll be quicker and quieter" said Harry

"That would be a smart thing to do, but I was thinking that you want to travel back on Zeus instead" said Nami with a fun smirk on her face.

This lightened Harry's face and brighten his eyes as he quickly nods his head at the suggestion, this made Nami laugh would she pulls out her climate tact and raises it into the sky. Emerging from the staff, a small cloud with a cartoony face and wearing a schoolboy's hat appears and starts yawning. Harry beams with excitement and could not control himself, for he is about to ride on this cloud which his mother has summoned. This is Zeus, a Cloud Homie which Nami stole from the Yonkou Big Mom during their time at Sweet Cake Island.

For years Zeus has been a loyal companion to Nami despite being her prisoner when she stole him from Big Mom. And their relationship improved form being terrified to mild nervousness, he hovers around with a clueless expression until he looks down to Nami and Harry. He gulped nervously, not just because of Nami but at Harry, especially at his hyperactive excitement when he sees his beaming eyes filled with joy and his wide grin.

"Zeus, it's time for us to go home" said Nami "You don't mind giving us a ride, right?"

"N-No, of course not" said Zeus as remains nervous about the two pirates but complied so not to anger Nami. He lower down so that his master can climb aboard and sit comfortable on his soft cool head. Nami helped Harry got on board and he sits in front her while she wrap her arms around him so she give some safety from falling off.

"Ready?" Nami asked Harry

"Yes, I'm ready" said Harry who is still smiling with excitement.

"Alright, take off away Zeus" said Nami

"Aye, aye" said Zeus as he soars quickly into the the sky and leaving the summer island.

"Yeah!" Harry calls out as he takes to the sky with Nami, he loves flying and being in the sky. Which is no a surprise since he has spent his 2 years in Weatheria, which is an artificial island in the sky where a group of wizard meteorologists reside who make their business giving kingdoms and communities exceptional weather conditions. This form of magic helped Nami improve her navigational skills as well as her combat skills with her Climate Tact that she may be consider as a witch than a pirate.

(Flashback: 9 years ago)

It is at that same moment is where Harry curiously found a devil fruit, which he obliviously ate when one of the wizards accidently gave it to him as a snack while Nami is bust studying meteorology and adapting her climate-tact techniques. When he bit on the fruit, he winced and cried at that how foul it tasted, this got Nami's attention she heard the crying that she stopped her studying so that she can calm him down. She noticed the spiral patterns on that bitten fruit and paled in shock to discover that her son ate a devil fruit. She was outraged and gave the poor wizard a piece of her mind for giving a Harry a cursed fruit to eat.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING GIVING HARRY A DEVIL FRUIT!?"

"Please I didn't know we had a devil fruit in the barrel" pleaded the poor wizard as fearful tears pour out from his eyes and right down to the tip of his long beard.

Nami didn't listen however as she starts throttling the poor man and yanking at his beard hard as punishment for such reckless. The other wizards including Haredas, her mentor at that time were trying to pry Nami off the poor wizard before she can kill him.

Seeing this got poor Harry scared as he saw his mother's outburst and attacking the wizard who gave him some fruit to eat. The fear and confusion caused Harry to trigger his new found powers, Nami saw Harry vanish before her eyes and starts to panic and drop the wizard who fainted during the abuse.

"HARRY!" Nami screamed as she dropped down to where Harry vanished from, the wizards were shocked by this and were getting worried for Harry also. "No, No, No, please don't be gone, not like this!"

Nami was in a state of shock and dread after Harry's disappearance. She wanted to go search for Harry but she knows that she'll be exposing herself and violating her captain's orders to lay low and get strong before their reunion. Plus, she has no idea where Harry might be and she'll be searching forever and might get there on time should danger approaches Harry...but seeing that Harry vanished because he saw her get angry and get violent, then the fact that Harry will be away from danger gave some assurance that he'll be safe...even for a little bit.

But the worry for her son hindered her progress for a couple of days, she didn't eat, sleep or pay any attention to Haredas during his lectures on weather conditions and the cultivation of weather balls which are used to produce new clouds should devastating droughts affect the environments. The worry and dread continues on until Harry came back in front of here, clueless of what happened.

"M-mama?" Harry babbles to Harry when she appeared in front of her and reaches out to pat her ginger hair.

Seeing this brought a smile on her face and immediately pulled him in a loving embrace like any mother would do. She cried tears of joy and gave Harry so many kisses on his forehead which bears the lightning bolt shaped scar, and on those cute cheeks that any toddler has. Still oblivious of him vanishing before his adoptive mother's eyes, he giggled as her loving kisses tickle and starts putting his hands on her ginger hair in his own way of embrace.

"Oh thank Oda you're okay Harry." Said Nami as her voice cracked from the joyous crying before she gave him one more kiss. "I thought I would never see you again."

"M-Mama" said Harry giving Nami his cute loving smile every time he sees her, until he saw her eyes drenched with tears and reaches out place his left hand by them. "M-Mama sad?"

"No, I was sad because you ran away, but I am now happy as you come back to me" said Nami giving Harry a smile while wiping the tears off with her arm. "I'm sorry for scaring you, Harry. I was just upset that one of the nice men gave you something that you shouldn't have eaten."

Harry looked at her with confusion, to his young knowledge he thought that eating fruit is good for him, for that is what she has told him. Nami is aware of the confusion on her son's face and smiled.

"I'll tell you when you're older" said Nami "Come, I think it's time for a nap."

Harry, by habit, starts to yawn and leans down to that he san rest on Nami's shoulder and close his eyes. And like that, he fell fast asleep and Nami sighs in relief and held him tight so that the would not let him go.

That was stressing in those past 2 days for Nami but was glad to have her little boy back in her arms, considering being apart from her crew and what happened at Marinefort. The news of Ace's death has spread across the world and she can imagine what that is like, since she had to see her adoptive mother Belemeré die in front of her at the hands of Arlong. She didn't want this to happen to Harry, little does she know that it happened, and the scar on his forehead is what connects to that unknown tragedy.

On the next day and so on, Nami had to keep an eye on her son during her two-year training for he had the tendency of...wandering off. Devil Fruit users are a hassle since the Straw hats have 4, but to have another at a very young age has become another headache for the navigator... with the exceptions of Chopper and Robin of course. And with Harry disappearing all the time, causing trouble for the Nobles of Marijois and the World Government, it made things more stressing for Nami that she needed a way to keep him by her side at all time, much like a mother would do for her child.

It's no easy, but her life as a pirate never was.

Nami reflected on that memory during her travel by cloud while keeping Harry safe in her arms, Harry is now skilled with his new powers after eating that devil fruit, which she learned that is called the Warp-Warp Fruit. It gives the user abilities to warp from one point to another, a rather sophisticated form of teleportation which leaves no traces behind and makes them look like they vanish out of thin air. During the 8 years after being back in the crew, she stayed by Harry sides so that she can learn about her son's powers while continuing her duty as the ship's navigator.

She learned that Harry needs to think of a position where to appear, which is where she came to help train his powers as a navigator. Harry went through so many maps in Nami's personal archives, it also taught Nami that her son has a knack for cartography and she couldn't be prouder and it brought a tear in her eye. Nevertheless, the knowledge of navigation became beneficial to Harry as he can travel the entire world as long as he knows where on a map or by memory of his past visits.

But even though getting to one place instantly does have it's advantages, it is the journey to the destination is more pleasant, much like the ride on Zeus back home so that he can watch the other clouds sway in view and the sun setting in the horizon sinking into the white sea. Time flies by on their journey and the skies are now a mixture of orange and blue by the dusk. The clouds below them part way for the mother and child to see the ocean dyed orange by the dusk's setting sun, with white shining flitters caused by the waves, like a cluster of diamonds adorned on a pile of treasure. This is Harry most favourite part while riding on Zeus with his mother, to see the sea at it's most beautiful at a time like this.

Harry remains at awe at the sunning scenery while Nami kept him in her embrace, now on view they see an island with a ship moored by the cove. The ship is a brigantine-class, with 3 masts each with furled up sails and one of the anchors which are between a lion's head figure head and are shaped like lion paws. On the broad side of the ship, it is armed with seven cannons on both sides and a large circular plate with a large number 1 printed on.

That is the Thousand Sunny, the main ship of the Straw Hats and pride of the Pirate King, she is moor by the coast after her long travels at sea. She had her share of adventures sailing the Grand Line after her predessossor the Going Merry retired and was given a respected funeral as she could not take her crew on any more adventures. Harry was not on the Merry when he was adopted by Nami for the beloved Caravel passed on. He was told by his mother and father about how they loved the Merry and how it pains them that she could not take them any further. But the Merry's legacy lived on within the Thousand Sunny for she is a powerful ship since the Gol D Roger's Oro Jackson and Whitebeard's Moby Dick, and it still remains as the most notorious vessel that ever sailed the seas.

Thousand Sunny: Deck

Nami and Harry dive down towards the ship so that they jump on board, the land on the just inches above the lawn covered deck which Nami jumps off and help Harry off the sentient cloud. Nami calls back Zeus by sucking him back into her climate-tact and straps it back onto her waist. Harry looked around the deck of the ship and noticed that it's empty and too quiet. The lights are off making the area dark, this confused and slightly worry Harry as the Sunny's uper deck should be lively even at this late hour.

"Where is everyone?" said Harry as he starts to look around and call out for the crew. "Dad?! Everybody?!"

Suddenly loud bands erupt which caused Harry to flinch, but then he noticed something flying high in the sky with loud whistling. Harry looks up at the soaring items until they explode into amazing colours and light. Fireworks were launched to decorate the twilight sky, next the lights turn on all around the deck and...

"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY!"
