Ch 1: Alpha Flex

Hands slid along thighs sat parted around a strong waist, lips locked in a needy moment in time like an addiction. Talons scratched at taunt shoulders as teeth grazed along a bonded scar, gasps filling the room. The first words spoken were words Jin didn't want to hear, Spadix panting lightly, her body trembling in the hands of the dragon as she sat in Jin's lap, forcing herself to press on Jin's shoulders as she spoke, "W-Wait… Jin wait… we should talk…"

A feral hunger left Jin in a growl, tongue gliding along the old mated scars all along Spadix's nape and neck, making the bird squirm, "Don't wanna… we can do that later… I just want you right now."

When Spadix pressed harder, shoulders moving far enough back into the couch that Jin could no longer reach her neck, Jin whined and looked into those swirled orbs, "N-no… we really should talk Jin."

Jin grumbled but sighed, thumbs massaging into firm muscle under soft skin in Spadix's thighs. She reached a hand to run fingers along the feathery cut detailing in the shaved sides of hair and the owl cooed lightly, leaning into her hand, touching it lightly with her own as her other hand reached out, running the palm of her hand across the light scaring from her mark on Jin's neck and watching Jin shiver and relax in response before the amber eye and prosthetic one opened to gaze at her, "What do you want to talk about Little Bird?"

That old pet name made Spadix swoon, leaning closer some, playing with Jin's hair, "I don't know… everything? It's been seven years. We aren't the same people anymore really. I want to know the you that's sitting here now. What all your life has been. What still makes you smile? Does anything keep you up at night? Do you still work?"

Jin chuckled, nuzzling Spadix suddenly causing the owl to grow quiet, arms lovingly wrapping around Jin's head as she looked down into those two eyes, Jin looking back at her, hands moving to hold her around the waist close, "Slow down Little Bird. We have our whole lives. One thing at a time."

Spadix's eyes softened as Jin watched them, her lips leaning to ghost across the deep scars in Jin's face, which only made the dragon groan weakly and hold her tighter, "Did you miss me while you were in her arms every night? Or did you try to forget me… like the way you left me alone…"

Jin felt her heart lurch and drop into her gut at how much pain she could hear in Spadix's voice. She pulled her flush against herself and buried her face into the marks on Spadix's body that proved the owl was hers, "I was struggling just like you… she was there for me… but she was never you. Never could replace you. She never tried. But I never forgot you. I could never…"

Spadix held Jin's face in her hands, "I know about the baby…"

Jin twitched, muscles all tensing instantly as her teeth grit, face turning from Spadix's hands, "I… I don't want to talk about that. Pick something else."

Spadix's eyes glanced at the empty bottles deserted around the living room and she gently turned Jin back to look at her, "I want to talk about it. It's clearly changed you… and I want to know who you are now."

Jin could feel Spadix's beast practically crawling over her own, coiling its energy around hers like a sweet embrace but a vicious grip, not letting go, holding her own beast tightly in such a grasp Jin couldn't assert herself or resist her wishes. As if she was not in control of herself, she gave in, beast crying out into Spadix's for mercy and compassion as sadness leaked into every aspect of Jin's expression, "I… wanted to keep it you know… I didn't tell anyone that… I've been drowning in that truth for so long. But I couldn't do it. I couldn't find in myself any love for it because it wasn't yours and that felt so terrible. I'm terrible…"

thumbs caressed the dragon's wet cheeks tenderly, forehead leaning close with a soft pained whisper, eyes closed, "I'm so sorry Jin. I'm so, so sorry. You aren't terrible. You just were in pain and struggling. She wasn't your mate and family is important to you. She couldn't be the one you needed for that. You needed love. I don't judge you. It's ok."

Jin fell apart suddenly, crying desperately against Spadix, "I'm sorry… I… I was so broken… I should've done better…"

But Spadix just held her and her inner beast pressed its energy hard into Jin's broken beast, folding it in an all consuming love that felt so intense and wonderful Jin could only tremble and let out her pain until her heart finally felt lighter. When she was able to speak again, she nuzzled into the skin covered in her tears, "How have you become so strong while I've only wilted?"

Spadix hummed in response, talons scratching along Jin's scalp like no time had ever passed, "I had to. I didn't have someone around fucking away the memory of you. I was in the world, just trying to exist with the hole in my heart. Indi and I dated for a bit but she wasn't you. And neither of us wanted substitutes… I had my brother but… he's gone now. I lost him too. You have to get strong to survive constant pain."

Jin growled a bit at Indi dating her faunus but she wasn't lucky enough not to feel the sting of Spadix's obvious jealousy constantly surfacing. Spadix stroked her hair, watching it fall like water through her fingers, "Relax. It didn't even last six months and it was back in our fourth year. I haven't been with a soul since. My beast will only accept you."

Jin was instantly filled with guilt. Spadix had spent seven years alone. Seven heats in agony. Seven years thinking she would never feel love again. All the while, Jin was hurting inside but was chasing her demons while Scarlet was knot deep in her and even allowed her heart to welcome Scarlet into part of it. Shame washed over every inch of Jin and when Spadix gazed at her with those eyes, she bit her lip, fingers grazing over the scar that wrapped from the owl's hip from a bad mission, "Spadix… I need to tell you something."

She could feel the owl suck in a breath, tensing all over as if expecting the worst. It wouldn't be the worst thing Jin could say but it wasn't going to be good. Spadix's beast was trembling inside as Jin squirmed, "I… marked Scarlet…"

As if a switch had been flipped, Jin could feel Spadix's inner beast ruffle with absolute rage and recoil against her own, fiercely fighting Jin's beast as hers tried to reach for it. Spadix's eyes were blazing and she was ripping from Jin's desperate grasp, struggling to her feet, "Y-you what?! I… You… "

Her hand moved to the bonded marks along her neck and she growled, backing from Jin, Jin reaching to grab for her, "It was after I got rid of the baby. I was a mess and she was hurting! I felt so guilty that she had fallen in love with me and I couldn't return those feelings but…"

Spadix huffed, a snarl in response to the admittance of the fox's feelings as she started for the kitchen, wanting space, Jin chasing her, "I couldn't handle all of my feelings without someone! I wasn't strong enough! She always knew you would come back and I was always clear I only wanted you if you did! Please Spadix!"

The owl turned on her, her beast flaring up and Jin was startled. She had never felt Spadix push alpha energy at her before. It was so unexpected. Jin had always thought Spadix was a sub faunus the way she was with Jin but that was when Jin had a powerful apex alpha inside. Spadix had never been a true sub. She was a neutral beast that could shift her energy and Jin's used to just push her into a sub state. But now that Jin was weak inside, Spadix's beast was not willing to roll over so easily.

"Fuck you! I… I was so fucking miserable and alone and you… you… you were just marking the damn fox!? What about me!? Did I even cross your mind when you bit her!? H…have you been spending your heats with her too?! N-no… don't answer that… I… I can't…"

Jin buckled at the impressive power rolling off Spadix's beast, the rage and feeling of betrayal and jealousy drowning Jin's beast in so much energy the spirit was choking and sputtering, desperate for air. Jin felt weak at the knees. If she wanted, her beast could push back but she felt she deserved this and so it wouldn't dare, instead bending to Spadix trying to please her, "P-please Little Bird… I… I was wasting away…"

"Do you love her!?" Spadix spat, leaning back into the counter and gripping the edge so tight her knuckles went white and talons dug into the smooth surface, but Jin's answer didn't make her feel any better.

"I'm not in love with her… only you… please…"

"Christ Jin… you do love her… how…how fucking dare you!" Spadix growled, watching Jin flinch.

Every inch of her was on fire with jealous rage, her bonded beast feeling swallowed in betrayal. The way Jin whimpered, the way her beast was begging, she struggled with her feelings. It hurt so much and yet, she couldn't lose Jin again. Not again. She was sure if she did she would actually die. A powerful command left her lips and Jin was obeying before she could even question it, "Come here!"

The dragon's knees buckled as she stumbled over, Spadix instantly grasping her shoulders and yanking her to her knees, talons digging harshly into flesh but Jin could only groan in response. She bumped her knee into Jin's shoulder, eyes still a light with anger, her fingers moving the tangle in Jin's hair roughly, jerking her head closer. Jin's nostrils flared and her beast rumbled but Spadix's energy was pushing harder, forcing the dragon to submit, "Is still what you like now? An alpha overpowering you? Did you let her overpower you too? How many times have you bent to her? Does that work for you now? Does it!?"

Jin could only watch Spadix, whimpering in her grasp as her inner beast squirmed in response to the way Spadix's beast was coming for it, trapping it in a vicious grip. Jin's hands ran up Spadix's legs to her hips, nuzzling inner thighs and making noises of submission, desperate to soothe the ache her faunus was feeling that she had caused yet again. When she felt Spadix drag her closer, could smell her fierce arousal and hatred, she closed her eyes, pressing her nose and lips against the cloth covered core of her mate, listening to the seething growl that contradicted shivering hips, "You're going to give me everything you've been giving away. I want back what's mine."

The way her voice was so stern, so strong, so aggressive made Jin whimper and nod, fingers grasping for clothing, trying to peel it away. It was embarrassing in the back of her mind how weak she had become, once a powerful alpha that would never take an order or be pushed around like this now a whimpering submissive mess at Spadix's feet. But Spadix was right. Jin had grown to love the way it felt to have another alpha press its energy against hers and force her to submit, practically preening inside at how it felt to be pushed so hard by such power. When the layers hit the floor, Jin grasped Spadix at the hips and lifted her to the counter, talons tugging her blonde hair with such intensity as she pressed her face close to Spadix's core, tongue lavishing the petaled lips that ached for her.

A hissed moan left Spadix and she yanked again, making Jin press her tongue against her wet folds harder, running up to her clit and circling it before returning to her dripping entrance, long flat strokes painting between the two in whatever rhythm Spadix's tugging grip demanded. The free hand reached and grasped the cabinets behind her, digging into the wood and the surface cracking as it relented to her, swirled orbs staring daggers into Jin as her breathing deepened, hips twitching in Jin's grasp, "Did you give her your mouth too?"

Jin gave a slight nod and winced when Spadix gripped her harder, staring up into furious tears streaking down Spadix's face now, "you're mine! You understand?!"

Jin responded by pressing her split tongue deeply into Spadix, making the owl tremble and gasp, sliding along velvety inner walls as deeply as she could, thrusting the wet muscle within before moving to latch her lips around Spadix's bundle of nerves that was clearly pulsing with need. The way Spadix was pressing Jin into herself harder told Jin this was where the owl wanted her, needed her. Her tongue stroked and teased the nub as she sucked, the slit in the tip tracking along the nub and making Spadix whine and her hips jerk. Her hands left Spadix's hips, one moving up to yank at the ties on her vest, letting it drop before sliding under her shirt, taking a breast into her hand and kneading the flesh, her other hand moving and pressing two fingers slowly into the owl, curling and stroking the puffed inner ridged patch in time with her tongue.

She could feel the owl getting close, squeezing and fluttering on her fingers inside, pressing Jin's head down hard into her body and rolling her hips in tense motions, tears falling on Jin's face, "Jin…"

The dragon moved faster, sucking harder, fingers thrusting and stroking that inner spot even as walls clenched tightly on her, refusing to release as fluids ran down Jin's arms and the owl whimpered and moaned, talons breaking through the cabinet trim before grabbing Jin's back, burying into the skin with blood running slowly from the punctures in the throes of Spadix's orgasm. Jin's entire body shook, missing that taste, that feeling, those talons. She could feel every fiber in her lower body tighten with a need to snap but until she was given permission from Spadix's flexing alpha, she refused to do a thing that wasn't being asked of her.

As the owl started to relax, panting and hunched forward, she tugged Jin's head back, twitching in need of a break and staring into Jin's eyes, "Give me the thing you've given no one else but me. Right now. I need it from you. Need what's mine."

There was almost a desperation in her voice and Jin got to her feet, instantly tugging Spadix close into her body, talon's cutting away clothing off the brawler as she pressed her lips into Spadix's, tongue pressing past part lips and curling and sliding along the owls as her hands took Spadix's hips and she pressed her own hard into them, grinding against the owl with the same needy furocity that those talons and hands had roaming across her muscles and skin.

Hips rolled into hips, grinding against each other with an intense need and muscles tensing under roaming hands on flesh, Spadix shaking at the feel of every taunt, chiseled muscle in the dragon rippling and flexing with her movements, her teeth scraping over the old scars until she found the strongest spot of summer wildflowers on Jin's neck and latched on with a possessive, aggressive growl, making Jin's hips jerk unevenly and pound into her until the dragon was unraveling at her mercy.

As Jin came down from her high, head spinning, Spadix's beast calmed and became more familiar, submission leaking back into it as she whimpered and licked at the wound from her teeth, Jin moving her arms to hold Spadix close while they caught their breath, daring the whisper, "I love you. I love you more than anyone."

Thankfully, Spadix just whined, clinging to her and nuzzling into her with soft cries, "Dammit… prove it… I love you so much… prove it."

Jin nuzzled along scars and kissed at the traumatic one on her shoulder that was the deepest, feeling Spadix twitch, gently lifting the own in her arms and feeling legs wrap around her, that tongue moving to stroke along scars on her face as hands held her while she walked Spadix to her room, kicking open the door and laying the faunus back gently on soft sheets. Hands entangled with Spadix's mission worn ones and she kissed sweetly the skin over her heart, feeling her breathing heavily in response as Jin pressed between her hips with her own, rocking gently into her, both gasping and sensitive. A hand freed itself to reach into the night stand, pulling out something different and yet familiar.

Spadix's eyes locked onto it. It was golden, bigger than the one before, but matched almost perfectly to the one she had bought in their academy years to better feel Jin within. The dragon nuzzled her cheek, "I've never touched this… I bought it in case you ever were mine again. Sorry about the size, it's the smallest I could get. This has always only ever been with you, for you. No one before, no one sense."

The emotional whimper in response made Jin swoon, adjusting herself to slide the budded end of the strapless strap into herself with a groan before pressing close, gliding it along slick folds, the tip butting into Spadix's clit making her grip on Jin's hand still laced in hers tighten. Lips found lips on a kiss much more gently and passionately this time as Spadix's knees raised to grip Jin's hips, legs tugging at her lower back as they locked around her. When their lips parted, Spadix was breathless, "Please… I need you… all of you… please… take the pain away… I just want to be yours again…."

Jin nuzzled at her neck and nodded, kissing at skin softly as if it could wash away any pain, shifting her hips and pressing the tip past parting folds, pushing into Spadix slowly. The owl gasped, hand gripping Jin's even tighter as talons curled towards the skin, body trying to relax against the thigh stretch as Jin worked inch after inch into her slowly, burying half the length before her hips shifted in soft thrusts. The dragon's lips traveled Spadix's chest down, lavishing skin until she reached stiff nipples, grazing her lips across them, enlisting shivers before running her tongue around one.

Spadix's legs clung tightly to her waist and trembled as hips met hips finally. Jin let her beast rumble within herself, soothing the owl as she pulled the erect bud into her lips, sucking softly while she let Spadix adjust. The owl was panting lightly, the sharp tips of her talons in Jin's hand scratching the skin, her other hand holding around Jin's head laced in her hair as her body experienced the full feeling she hadn't experienced in so long. It made her heart race knowing this had remained between them and no one else, something Jin had not given anyone else that was all hers to have with her partner.

As hips began to roll against Jin's, an eager whimper leaving Spadix's lips full of desire, Jin's hips began to thrust slowly but deeply, ears burning at every gasp the bird made when she pushed back in. Her lips traveled to the other breast, giving it the same attention while Spadix arched into her, rolling into each thrust. Her whimpers and moans were like lightning traveling through Jin, enticing her to give more at just the right moments, her body rolling towards Spadix to drag taunt abs against her after each thrust in, loving every second of pleasure it was giving the owl.

Soon, both still sensitive, Jin was groaning, thrusting faster, harder, into Spadix, holding herself up a bit by pressing her hand holding the owl's into the sheets, lips trailing nips and kisses back to her battered skin and looking for permission at those swirled orbs. Spadix's body was chasing Jin's as it moved from being pressed against her, missing the comfortable warm weight and touch, eyes glazed with need as she caught Jin's glance. She could feel her teeth begging for her trust again at her neck. Her talons scratched down from Jin's scalp and she pressed Jin closer, whining and turning her head to give more of her neck over. Her hips thrusting to meet each and every push into her from the dragon's powerful plunges into her inner depths.

Teeth locked into her skin, the dull tips having to press harder to puncture but the deep moan Spadix released told her it was ok, holding onto her at the neck as she pounded with erratic thrusts now into her, growling and whimpering into her skin as she fell into the bliss of Spadix finally beneath her again after so long, feeling Spadix's talons move to her back and si9nk into her skin as she too fell with the dragon. The energy pressing into each other from their inner beasts was serene and felt absolutely overwhelming it was so intense, as if in this moment they were sharing one inner energy swirled together in a tight coil of all of their feelings and needs and insecurities until they came back down and the beasts parted.

After what felt like forever trying to breathe again and Jin released her skin, sharing kisses across each other's tender faces, they laid in each other's warmth still and happy, embraced around each other in a tangle of limbs. Jin's head was resting on her chest, listening to her heart calm back down after pulling out and away, cuddled into Spadix's arms and holding her at her side close.

The owl was lightly scraping talons along Jin's scalp, staring at the ceiling as she nibbled a talon on her other hand. The comfortable silence finally disturbed as she placed her hand away from her lips and along Jin's arm holding her, stroking the firm muscles, "We could you know…"

A hummed response came from the tired dragon and when no reply came, her eyes turned to see the face giving her this look she couldn't quite place on it, leaning up some to see better. Eyes with intense longing and love were staring at her, "We could have babies… together…"

Jin just stared for a moment, eyes searching Spadix's face carefully, smiling as that hand ran up her arm to her face, Spadix's comforting sure voice giving her no doubts or fears or worries, "I want them so long as it's with you."

Jin reached and pulled her fingers to her lips, kissing along them, hoping to convey her feelings as her words were stolen from her mouth in the feelings she was swelling with, her inner beast practically screaming out in its joy.
