Scarlet Scarab 0 "The Secret Origin"

He had made a horrible mistake. A monumental, unforgivable mistake. How could he have been so blind? So sure that what he was doing was noble—creating a way for his country to protect itself from foreign threats, giving the people a means to defend their homeland. But instead, he had helped craft a weapon. Perhaps one of the most dangerous weapons ever known to man, and it was now resting in his gym bag. Heavy. Menacing. Alive.

The Scarlet Beetle.

Originally discovered by an archaeologist named Yamato Tenzo in the ancient ruins of Kahndaq, most people dismissed it as nothing more than a ceremonial artifact—a scarab-shaped relic of a forgotten civilization, like a crown or scepter meant for display. They were wrong.

Terrifyingly wrong.

The beetle wasn't just a symbol of power; it was power. Buried deep within its intricately designed shell was an artificial intelligence. A dead AI, dormant for centuries, perhaps millennia, but an AI nonetheless. That was the part no one understood at first—until his team of twenty scientists was recruited to bring it back to life. To resurrect what should have remained buried. Five years they had worked on the Scarlet Beetle, tirelessly decoding its ancient technology, reverse-engineering its systems, and, finally, reprogramming it.

They gave life back to its corpse.

And what they birthed was monstrous.

A power suit like no other, capable of turning its wearer into something akin to a god. Strength, speed -all augmented beyond human capacity. But that wasn't even the worst of it. The Scarlet Beetle was meant to be replicated. To be mass-produced.

That's when the true horror dawned on him.

It didn't matter if the replicas were weaker than the original. With thousands—millions—of these suits in the hands of his nation's army, no force on Earth could stand against them. They wouldn't need diplomacy or alliances. They'd have absolute power.

So he did the only thing that made sense. The only option left. He waited. Waited until he was the last person in the lab, until the security guards had rotated shifts, until no one was watching. He took the beetle. Hid it in his gym bag.

And now he was running. Running from the very country he once swore to protect.

And then his car flipped.

Ashina Tachibana clutched the bag tightly, instincts kicking in as he leapt from the vehicle, rolling across the asphalt in a blur of motion. His body hit the ground hard, but the adrenaline was already coursing through his veins.

The sound of metal scraping and glass shattering filled the air as the car slammed into the pavement behind him, leaving a trail of debris. Ashina barely registered the pain shooting through his limbs. His mind was on one thing only—the gym bag, and what was inside it.

He skidded to a stop, crouching low, his breath rapid and uneven as his eyes scanned the area. They were onto him.

Ashina saw them approaching—three figures who couldn't have been older than their early twenties. But appearances meant little; they were dangerous. He could feel it.

A trio of people were approaching and from what he can see they looked like a 2 men and a woman.

Hitman's probably sent by his superior to retrieve the scarab and kill him.

Not necesary in that order, still he was far away that he doubted they can see much of him.

But they were closing in.

Ashina's mind raced. He didn't have much time before they found him. His heart pounded as he reached into his gym bag. Plan B.

A Hail Mary.

He pulled out the scarab. The Scarlet Beetle. A red Kabutomushi, no larger than eight inches, its sleek metallic shell glinting ominously in the faint light. It felt impossibly heavy in his hands, not because of its size, but because of the immense power it held.

Ashina's breath caught in his throat as he whispered, desperation lacing his words.

"Please... hide. Don't let them take you. Find someone worthy, someone good. Someone who will not abuse your power."

For a moment, the scarab was still, almost as if it were contemplating his plea. The figures drew closer, their footsteps steady and unwavering.

And then, the scarab stirred. and flew to the sky.

Ashina just hoped that whoever found the Scarab was someone hat will not abuse his power.


Naruto stretched his arms, feeling the ache of his muscles after a hard day of work. "Ah... I'm beat," he grumbled to himself. Being an officer in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police had its moments, but working at a police box in Shibuya wasn't exactly what the TV dramas made it out to be.

If he was 100% honest, he thought he would be busting Yakuza and killers by now. Instead, he was stuck doing grunt work at the Koban. The Koban, a small police station connected to the main precinct, focused on a more direct approach to the community doing things like directing traffic, investigating minor crimes, patrolling the area, guiding tourist , taking care of lost children, or assist in bigger cases etc.

And while Naruto appreciated some aspects of his job he wasn't the type to settle into the Koban for the long haul. He wanted to be a detective. He'd even sent an application to join the Criminal Investigations Division a few months ago and had been racking up overtime in hopes of earning some brownie points with the higher-ups.

"Well I'm almost finished so I just need to return to the Koban and I can go back ho-" And then his radio buzzed off.

Shit. No, that was his own fault , he just jinxed himself, he really should have known better.

"TOKYO HQ TO SHIBUYA, WE RECEIVED A CALL ABOUT A DRUNK DISTURBANCE IN THE RESTAURANT ICHIRAKU'S BY THE TAKAMICHI AVENUE. HEAD THERE INMEDIATELY. OVER"

"Roger that. over" Said Naruto while pushing his radio ."Well, better get this over with," he muttered as he turned and began heading toward Takamichi Avenue. His exhaustion slipped into the background as his training kicked in, his focus now and he began running to ichiraku's.

Ichiraku's was a small ramen place that Naruto had been a attending since he was a child, his mom used to work for Teuchi-san, the owner so they are pretty much on familiar terms.

Hell Teuchi-san even named a dish in his honor and Ayame-nee gave him tips on his first date .

Luckily he wasn't that far away anyway. So he made a short run to the restaurant

Taking a deep breath, he stepped inside. Once inside the restaurant a young brunette woman with eyes of the same color in her mid 20s signaled him, to talk to the side.

He approached her, subtly moving toward the side to avoid drawing attention from the rest of the customers. "Officer Uzumaki, thank you for coming," she whispered. Ayame was going through a transition period. Her father, nearing 60, couldn't keep up with the demands of the restaurant anymore so he had been coming in less frequently, gradually passing more responsibilities onto Ayame.

Next year, she would be fully in charge, allowing her father to finally retire. In a way, she was relieved that it was Naruto who came to the restaurant and not another officer—there was less chance of someone causing a scene.

Though, she will never get used to seeing Naru-chan wearing that uniform. After all, she could still remember the little boy sitting at the barstool, asking her for help with his math homework while his mom worked in the kitchen.

"Don't worry Ayame-san, is my job anyway" said Naruto calmly, to her elder sister figure. Normally they are more casual in their interactions but she like most people, talk to him more respectfully once he is on the "clock", Naruto liked it though it made feel more "respected" , so to say.

"I asked him to leave more than once," Ayame continued, her voice laced with frustration. "He won't listen. He's loud, aggressive, and he's making the customers uncomfortable."

"So a drunkard" Said Naruto with Ayame nodding. " Don't worry Ayame-san. I will take care of it" Said Naruto while going to the bar of the restaurant.

In There it was a man mid 30s if Naruto was going to guess, with silver hair, he was apparently arguing with the bartender

"Excuse me, sir," Naruto said in a calm but firm voice, cutting through the argument. "Can you come with me to the station"

The man turned, his bloodshot eyes narrowing at Naruto. "Screw off, tax parasite!" he spat, his voice dripping with disdain.

Naruto sighed internally, already used to insults like this. If anything, this was one of the more common ones anyway.

I mean he had been vomited for guy like this more than once and even spat a few times, a few insults just don't bother him anymore

"Sir," Naruto replied evenly, "I'm sure I pay more taxes than you." A few customers snickered at the retort. Even Ayame and the bartender cracked small smiles.

"Just leave quietly," Naruto kept his tone steady, despite the tension in the air. "You haven't committed any real crimes, just go to the station and rest , then you can go to your house in the morning". That last part was true the only thing Naruto could charge him aside from being a jerk was disorderly conduct, and that means he will prrobably spent the night in the drunk tank and they will let him go tomorrow. That isn't even an arrest anyway just a temporary detention (1)

"What if I want to finish my drink in peace and you go fuck yourself instead, you nosy brat"

Naruto let out a slow breath. "You've had enough for tonight, sir," he replied, keeping his voice calm and measured. "You're disrupting the place, and you're making people uncomfortable. I don't want to make this harder than it has to be. Just come with me, and we can handle this quietly."

"No one was complaining until you showed up, just leave and everything will be fine"

"Oh shut up Mizuki" Complained Ayame. " Everytime you drink you start yelling and making a mess and when we say no you start annoying my customers"

Naruto raised an eyebrow at Ayame's outburst, quickly realizing that this wasn't the first time this man—Mizuki—had caused trouble. He let out a quiet sigh; so much for this being a routine situation.

"See? It's not just me," Naruto said, his voice still calm but firm. "You're causing problems, Mizuki. You need to leave, and I'd rather you come with me quietly than force me to make it official."

Mizuki glared, his face flushed with alcohol and anger. "I'll leave when I'm damn well ready!" he snapped, slamming his fist on the counter.

Naruto's eyes sharpened. "That's enough. You're leaving now, Mizuki, before you make this worse for yourself." He stepped forward, his posture signaling that this was no longer a request. "Either walk out with me, or I'll have to drag you out. Your choice."

Naruto's hand rested firmly on Mizuki's shoulder, an attempt of the blonde to show Mizuki that he doesn't really have that many options . With a growl of frustration, Mizuki lunged, grabbing a nearby bottle from the counter and swinging it wildly toward Naruto's head.

Naruto reacted instantly.

As the bottle arced through the air, Naruto's left hand shot up, catching Mizuki's wrist before the glass could even get close. In a single fluid motion, Naruto twisted his own body, pulling Mizuki's arm down and toward him. Mizuki's arm bent unnaturally, and with a sharp yelp, the bottle slipped from his grasp, shattering in the floor.

Naruto didn't stop there. Keeping a firm grip on Mizuki's wrist, he pivoted, shifting his weight and bringing his foot forward. With a swift motion, Naruto executed a textbook seoi nage—a shoulder throw. He pulled Mizuki forward, using the man's own momentum against him, flipping him effortlessly over Naruto's shoulder.

Mizuki hit the ground with a thud, the air forced from his lungs. In a daze, he barely had time to react before Naruto was on top of him. The blonde officer pressed his knee gently yet firmly into Mizuki's lower back, keeping him pinned to the floor without applying too much force. His right hand expertly maneuvered Mizuki's arms behind his back, while his left swiftly pulled out the handcuffs.

The metal clicked shut around Mizuki's wrists before he could so much as twitch, and Naruto exhaled slowly. This was not how he wanted things to go tonight, especially not at Ichiraku's, where Ayame had enough to deal with. The familiar warmth of the ramen shop, the low hum of conversation, had been replaced by tension and awkward stares from the other patrons. He had hoped to diffuse the situation without a scene, but Mizuki had forced his hand.

Naruto glanced over his shoulder, catching Ayame's eyes. Her expression was a mixture of frustration and relief. She stood behind the counter, hands gripping the edge as she watched the scene unfold. Naruto hated that he had to handle this in front of her, but at least it was over now.

Taking a deep breath, Naruto turned back to Mizuki, who was groaning on the floor beneath him. "I'm arresting you at 10:47 for disorderly conduct, failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, and assault of a police officer . You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you."

As he finished, Naruto lifted Mizuki to his feet, keeping a firm grip on the man's cuffs to prevent any sudden movements. The silver-haired man staggered and his resistance had faded, drained by the alcohol and the swift takedown.

Ayame approached from behind the counter, her steps quiet but deliberate. "Thanks, Naru-chan," she said, her voice soft but laced with exasperation. "This guy has been a real pain for a while. I didn't want things to get out of hand, but I appreciate you handling it and let's face it this could have gone way worse."

Naruto gave her a small nod, imagine if Mizuki broke a bottle in someone head or well the thousands of stupidities that drunkards do while wasted "It's my job, Ayame-san. Don't worry about it. I just wish it didn't have to come to this." He glanced down at the mess Mizuki had caused—the broken bottle on the floor, the uneasy murmurs of the other customers. "I'll help clean up once I finish the paperwork."

Ayame waved him off, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "No need. You've done enough. I'll take care of the rest. Just... make sure this idiot doesn't come back any time soon."

Naruto chuckled softly, "I'll see to that."

He pressed the button on his radio, calling in for backup. "HQ, this is Officer Uzumaki. I have a suspect in custody. Need a patrol car to pick him up at Ichiraku's, Takamichi Avenue. Change"

"Well at least he wouldn't be bothering Ayame-nee, for a while. I guess" Thought Naruto.


A Patrol car arrived quickly and picked Mizuki up, so the blonde could return to his post to do the paperwork and finish his shift. Most people seemed to believe police work ended with just arresting someone and finished.

In reality, like many jobs, police work involved a mountain of paperwork—an enormous part of the job. Any mistake in his statements could easily lead to a case dismissal. Naruto had learned to be meticulous in his reports; even something as small as how fast the perp blinked was crucial and had to be noted.

It was still tedious and boring work that no one really likes to do.

To Naruto it normally take him 90 minutes to finish his report

He stretched his arms, cracked his knuckles. "Well i finished anyway so I can finally go home where that special Tonkotsu Rame-"

RING- RING

And just then the phone in the Koban started ringing

"When will i ever learn to stop jinxing myself" Thought the blonde wanting to slam his head against the desk

"This is Shibuya Koban. over." Said Naruto answering the phone.

"WE RECEIVED A CALL ABOUT A SUSPICIOUS PERSON TRYING TO BREAK IN A HOUSE BY SUGIYAMA'S 510 . HEAD THERE INMEDIATELY. OVER"

Naruto glanced over the rest of the Koban to repeat the message to someone else and realized something... he was alone.

"I'M THE ONLY ONE HERE " Though Naruto jawdropped . Indeed he was completely alone in his post. Normally Polices boxes in large cities have between 5-10 officer in charge and each operate in 8 hour shift so there is always at least 1-3 officers in the Koban.

That mean if someone can't be contacted or reached another one has to cover.

So Naruto...

Yeah he can try to contact somebody , but a friday night in shibuya means that they are busy and Sugiyama's is close anyway. And in the time they got there whoever wanted to break in could have escaped. It probablt was just some punk taking advantage of a friday night, once little peek at his uniform and he will probably escape.

"I guess I can sleep in the nap room anyway. I mean I have an early shift tomorrow .So why I should go back home" Mumbled Naruto while putting his stab vest and his cap, though he dissapointed his Ramen will have to wait. "I just hope they took the smell of weed from last time"


WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE ASHINA NOR THE SCARAB?!" A red-haired man with black eyes, dressed in military camouflage, was seen berating a trio of his operatives. His name was Rasa Ishida, a Colonel of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (J.G.S.D.F.) and the military officer in charge of the Red Beetle project.

One of the operatives, a young man with spiky hair, responded to Rasa's intense glare with his own. "Sir, we've searched the area thoroughly," he stammered. "And with Ashina's suicide, there were no leads we could use."

"He took a pill of cyanide; my best guess is he was probably afraid that you would torture him." said a woman with long dark hair next to the man.

Rasa's eyes narrowed, frustration mounting. "I don't know what I expected from trash like you. Only you guys could mess up capturing a weak and feeble old man."

The trio glared at Rasa, anger flashing in their eyes, but he didn't care. To him, they weren't soldiers; they were just trash, scum—nothing else. All three of them were part of project COCKROACH. A secret project in which criminals were offered the chance of a reduced sentence in case of them being guinea pigs on cibernetics upgrade with the ojective implement the same process once perfect edin actual soldiers.

The Man Zaku Abumi 24 years old, a wannabe Bancho that got in a started a gang war with yakuza group and later accidentally killed an officer with a steel pipe while he was resisting arrest. He was condemned to 20 years in prison with parole on 10.

The woman Kin Tsuchi 25 years old, she was a hacker that made a small fortune on selling coorporate secret between the big fishes, while also leaving her with some connection in the underworld. She was sentenced to 30 years in a women prison.

And finally Dosu Kinuta 30 years old. He was a serial killer, who started his own body count when he set his own family on a fire when he was 12 burning half of his body in the process and earning a life long Makoto shisio cosplay, still he has more 20 known victims, and is theorized that there are probably a lot more hidden somewhere. He was up for the death penalty before his superiors believed his nation could have some use for him.

Lucky Bastard

All three of them were Psychopaths who never showed any remorse for their crimes and yet he has to employ them just like they were his own men.

Rasa was a proud military man, his father was a soldier and just like his father before him, and so on. He shared those values with his own 3 children with his daughter has just been promoted to Captain a month ago and his youngest has just been named 2nd Lieutenant earlier this year.

The only reason Rasa had ever accepted these people under his command was because of the implant embedded on their own head. With just the flip of a switch, he could blow their heads off—an idea stolen from an American named Amanda Waller.

"Twenty-four hours," Rasa said, his voice cold and authoritative. "You have exactly twenty-four hours to get my scarab back. You can take whatever you want from the base; I don't care. Just get the beetle back. But if you fail..." He leaned in closer, his eyes narrowing. "You won't get past twenty-four-oh-one."

The trio exchanged uneasy glances, fully aware that Rasa would kill them without a second thought. One doesn't reach command from a black op military OP without a certain cold-blooded resolve, and Rasa had never liked them to begin with. Faced with the grim reality of their situation, they did the only reasonable thing they could do when they had no real cards to play.

They lowered their heads in submission. Like the dogs he believe they are.

""Yes, sir," the trio responded in unison, their voices tinged with a mix of fear and resignation.

Rasa straightened, satisfied with their compliance. "Good dogs. Now get moving."

He didn't care if they have to turn all of Tokyo upside down, he will have the Scarab back on his hands and there isn't a force in the planet that could stop him.


Naruto arrived at the house in Sugiyama, only to find that the "suspicious person" reported was a false alarm. The culprit? A flustered salaryman who had forgotten his keys at work and, unable to return to his office, was desperately trying to break into his own home. Unfortunately for him, his clumsy attempts had spooked the neighbors, who mistook him for a burglar and called the police.

Naruto sighed, crossing his arms as he looked the man up and down. "What if there was a real emergency and I couldn't go because of this? Or worse, someone mistakes you for an actual burglar and decided to take action . You're not a kid anymore—you need to be more responsible."

The salaryman looked mortified, his face flushed red with embarrassment. He bowed repeatedly, stammering out an apology. "Sorry, officer... I just... didn't think.. I didn't want to... ."

"Great. Now I feel like I just kicked a puppy", Naruto thought, suppressing the tiny bit of amusement he felt at scolding someone old enough to be his father.

"Next time, just call a locksmith or leave a spare key with a neighbor, okay?" Naruto said with a sigh. After the quick reprimand, he decided to help the man out. Using a simple hook, Naruto unlocked the door before the salaryman could make things worse by breaking a window or causing other damage.

"Thank you! Really, thank you so much!" the man said, bowing in gratitude as he disappeared into his home.

Naruto checked his watch: 1:12 AM. He let out a long, tired groan.

Between heading back to the Koban, changing clothes, and going home, he would barely have any time to sleep before his next shift started at 8:00 AM. It didn't take long for him to decide.

"Yeah, the nap room it is," he muttered. Going home would just eat into what little sleep he could get. And after along shift, even the hard, rickety bunk bed back at the Koban seemed like pure luxury. "Well i still have time to have a little sleep before my ne-"

Just then he saw a trio breaking into a building.

Naruto groaned, slapping a hand to his face. really needed to stop jinxing himself.

He took out his gun and decided to follow them. Uknown to Naruto he was being spied from a nearby tree.

Zaku Abumi wasn't the smartest person in the room, and he accepted that fact—begrudgingly, but he accepted it. Maybe that's why his life had spiraled into absolute insanity. It was surprising how one bad decision—responding to a taunt from some piece of shit—had led to an arrest, which led to a conviction, which somehow landed him in this situation: hunting down a mechanical bug for the government. All for the benefit of a bigger piece of shit.

And to make matters worse, he had to work with two people even worse than him: a manipulative bitch and a psycho.

Maybe he should have just stayed in the big house. Sure, it wasn't paradise, but at least it was better than this. Three meals a day, a roof over his head, and some of his old crew were still in there for company.

"Did you find something, Kin?" Zaku asked,

Kin glared at him, her eyes cold. "Do I look like I found something, dumbass?" she snapped.

All three of them had been modified by the Japanese government, turned into cyborgs for their twisted missions. Zaku's enhancements were in his arms, granting him aerokinesis—he could generate tornados with a flick of his wrist. It was apparently based on some research by a guy named T.O. Morrow, but Zaku didn't care much for the details. All he knew was that he could blow things up with air.

Kin's modifications were different. She had superspeed—not quite Flash level, but enough to give her an edge. She could run faster than anyone he'd ever seen and analyze data at 40 times the normal speed, which came in handy when hacking security cameras. They were using her to scan the area, hoping to track down the metal bug they were after. Actually thanks to her hacking she always was the one that do survelliance, breaking into systems, and pinpointing the exact location of their targets.

She was still a huge egomaniac Bitch.

Then there was Dosu. His ability? Sound manipulation. At first, it hadn't sounded as impressive as super speed or the power to create tornados with your fists. But that thought vanished after their first mission when Dosu blew a guy's head clean off with a single punch, using nothing but sound waves.

After that both Kin and Zaku left him in Charge, without much arguing.

"Is been TWO HOURS!. Maybe you should stop playing with your little gadget and admit we lost it," Zaku grumbled.

Kin's glare could have cut through steel. "Maybe you should make yourself useful instead of whining like a little bitch," she snapped, not even bothering to look up.

Zaku's temper flared. "Say that to my face, you—"

Kin finally looked up, an amused smirk playing on her lips. "Why? So I can use smaller words so you understand better?"

Zaku clenched his fists, his aerokinetic implants sparking with anticipation. "You think you're so much better than me, don't you?"

Kin didn't flinch, her smirk only growing more condescending. "Well, if I was any 100 times dumber than I am I' still be smarter than you" she said, flipping her hair back casually, her eyes returning to her device. "Face it, Zaku, without your fancy air cannon arms, you'd be rotting in prison like the loser you are"

Zaku's face twisted in anger as Kin's words sank in. "You're really pushing it, Kin," he growled, stepping closer, his fists clenched tightly. His arms, modified with aerokinetic implants, tensed, ready for a fight.

"Zaku, Kin. Shut up."
And the mummy finally talks.

Both of them scoffed. They don't want to make Dosu mad .

Zaku backed off, grinding his teeth. "Fine."

Kin shot him a victorious glance but didn't push her luck. Not with Dosu around. Even she wasn't brave enough to provoke him.

"Let's just find that fucking beetle," Dosu muttered, this was just a damn wharehouse, that bug should appear sooner or later


Naruto kept a safe distance behind them, his gun in hand, listening closely. What are these guys up to? Corporate espionage? Sabotage? Kord Industries was a big player in the tech world, especially robotics and defense contracts.

Zaku kicked at a loose bolt on the floor. "This place is giving me the creeps. How much longer, Kin? Are you sure that thing's even here?"

Kin, focused on her handheld scanner, didn't look up. "I know what I'm doing. Dumbass. The signal's faint, but it's here. We just need to get closer."

Naruto edged forward, his heart pounding. He needed to gather information without being detected. He crouched behind a stack of crates, straining to hear their conversation, something about a bug... maybe some weapon or device.

Suddenly some invisible wall shocked Naruto like a freight train. A wall of sound slammed into him, sending him crashing into the crates behind him. He hit the ground hard.

"How... when?" he tried to say but the words couldn't escape his mouth

"Looks like we got a rat on our tail," said an amused Dosu, a sadistic smirk dancing on his lips as he stepped forward, the air around him crackling with energy.

Zaku and Kin exchanged uneasy glances; they hated when Dosu got like this, but they also knew it was better to keep their noses out of his fun.

Just then, Naruto stumbled into view, gun raised and voice firm despite his racing heart. "Freeze! On the ground, now!" In all his three years as a police officer, he had never shot anyone, but he always told himself that if it came down to it, he would do it.

He squeezed the trigger, the shot echoing in the warehouse. But to his shock, the bullet ricocheted off Dosu's modified body armor, a metallic clang filling the air.

"Nice try," Dosu taunted, his grin widening as he stepped forward, unfazed. "But you'll need more than that to take me down."

After all a secondary power that Dosu received was the durability necessary to withstand sonic waves on his arms. Zaku and Kin have similar abilities.

"C'mon, officer. You should have stayed behind those crates," Dosu sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. "This is going to end badly for you."

Dosu was a sadist, simple as that and while Zaku and Kin would preffered just kill Naruto, Dosu liked to play with his prey to see them break.

Naruto backed away, desperately looking for an escape route. He couldn't let them get the upper hand. "Stay back!" he shouted, trying to sound more confident than he felt.

With that, Dozu unleashed another sonic wave, this time aimed directly at Naruto. The force of the sound hit him like a freight train, slamming him against the wall. Dazed and struggling to catch his breath.

"Fuck he is toying with me". Thought Naruto ." I'm such an idiot why I didn't call for back up , or reported this "

"Dosu just kill him already. We are losing time , the scarab could escape" Said Kin earning a glare from Dosu

"A Scarab is that what they are looking for"

"Shut up, Kin!" Dosu shot back, his patience wearing thin. "I want to have a little fun first."

Naruto, adrenaline coursing through him, reached for his radio, desperate to call for backup. His heart pounded and the ringing of the sonic blasts repeating on his ears. He needed to get the message out before Dosu decided to make good on his threat. Only for

But as he fumbled with the device, his stomach dropped. "It broke."

The radio was silent, the screen flickering ominously. Panic surged through him. "Of all the times..." Probably from the shock waves of dosu, glancing up just in time to see man himself smirking at him.

Naruto shot him again in defiance and the bullet just rebounded like the last time.

"You have balls. I give you that" Said Dosu while preparing to launch another sonic blast at point range of Naruto.

Just then, a sharp pain shot through Naruto's back, something biting into him.

"What the—?" he gasped, startled. Suddenly, pincers dug into his skin, and a surge of electricity enveloped his body. The shock was intense, coursing through him like a wildfire, but instead of debilitating him, it ignited something deeper.

The red lightning burst forth, a violent wave that radiated outward. Dosu was caught off guard, sent sprawling across the floor, while Kin stumbled back, her expression shifting from confidence to shock.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Naruto screamed, pain coursing through him as his body was enveloped in a thick, black goo that oozed from the puncture wounds in his back. The viscous substance clung to his skin, pulsating like a living thing, sending jolts of agony through every nerve.

"What the hell is happening?" Kin shouted, backing away as the scene became chaotic. The goo began to form around Naruto, almost as if it were trying to protect him while simultaneously consuming him. It crackled with energy, absorbing the residual power from the scarab's bite.

His skin was now black as night, a stark contrast to the vivid red armor that adorned his legs and forearms. The red pincers extended from his arms, giving him an imposing and almost monstrous appearance, while his face took on an otherworldly quality, shadowed and fierce. (COVER IMAGE)

"This body will suffice". Said the beetle-like warrior before creating a sonic cannon and pointed to the trio.

Zaku's eyes widened in alarm. "What the hell is that?" he shouted, instinctively taking a step back.

Kin, usually so composed, felt panic creeping in. "I think that is the Scarab. We need to get out of here, now!" she urged, but it was too late. The warrior activated his sonic cannon. A devastating blast erupted, reverberating through the warehouse with explosive force.

The sound wave detonated, shattering crates and sending debris flying. The trio barely had time to react before the sonic blast struck them, knocking Zaku and Kin off their feet and slamming them against the wall. Dosu, caught in the epicenter of the blast, felt the air knocked from his lungs, disbelief replacing his earlier bravado.

Zaku gritted his teeth, summoning all his focus. "I won't let you take us down that easily!" he shouted, extending his arms. Wind began to swirl around him, rapidly gaining strength as he channeled his aerokinesis.

With a fierce yell, he unleashed a torrent of tornadoes, their whirling forms rushing toward the beetle warrior. But the beetle wasn't fazed. With a swift motion, he sprouted a set of metallic wings from his back, their edges glinting dangerously in the dim light of the warehouse.

He soared into the air, cutting through the vortex with ease. The tornadoes twisted around him, but he navigated effortlessly, each flap of his wings sending gusts of wind back toward Zaku. "Is this the best the colonel sent. Pathetic" the warrior taunted, his voice filled with disdain

Kin, realizing the urgency of the situation, shouted, "Zaku! He's above you! We need to regroup!"

But it was too late. The beetle warrior descended like a predator. He created a mace on his right hand and smashed it against Zaku head, knocking him before he even hit the floor.

Kin saw this and decided one thing. She needed to get out. . Channeling her superspeed, she dashed toward the nearest exit, a blur of motion in the dimly lit warehouse.

"Don't think you can escape that easily!" the beetle warrior called however nstead of chasing her directly, the beetle warrior unleashed chains from his back and with a swift, fluid motion, he launched them toward Kin, snaring her mid-dash.

The chains tightening around her limbs, pulling her back with a fierce jerk. Kin struggled against the restraints, her heart racing as panic surged through her.

"Let me go!" she shouted, her voice laced with defiance. She focused on channeling her speed, trying to vibrate her way free, but the chains were too strong.

With a swift, brutal motion, the beetle warrior swung the chains, slamming Kin against the wall with a bone-jarring impact. The force knocked the breath from her lungs, and the world blurred around her as stars exploded in her vision.

"Weakling" Mocked the Warrior after seeing the bruised body of Kin.

The beetle warrior staggered, caught off guard by the intense pain he was feeling. His armor rattled, and him covering his ear in pain,

"What—?!"

Seizing the moment, Dosu pushed forward, his breath ragged but fueled by a surge of adrenaline. "You think you can underestimate me? I won't back down that easily!"

With determination, he prepared to unleash another vibration, his gauntlet vibrating from the frequency.

"I don't need to punch you or attack you. I'm the master of sound I can manipulate the vibration of the sound wave and unleashed directly against your brain. Now let's see you how you deal with 70%"

With a flick of his wrist, Dosu sent a concentrated wave of vibration rippling through the air. The beetle warrior dropped to his knees, hands clutching his ears as the painful resonance pierced through him and to make matters worse Dosu put his booth on the warrior back .

"Enough!" the warrior growled, gritting his teeth against the agony. He struggled to maintain his composure, trying to focus through the debilitating sound.

Dosu, not satisfied, increased the frequency. His eyes gleamed with sadistic joy. "You underestimated me, and now you'll pay for it! But don't worry, the base will take good care of you—while they dissect you piece by piece. Or maybe," he leaned in, his voice low and venomous, "I should blow your head up and let them play with the corpse."

"I SAID ENOUGH!" he beetle warrior roared, summoning a massive pincer-like construct that shot out from his arm and clamped down hard on Dosu's stomach.

The sudden pain and shock interrupted Dosu's concentration, the frequency wavering as he gasped. The vibrations he had been directing at the warrior faltered, allowing the warrior to regain his composure and leverage.

With a savage twist, the warrior lifted Dosu off the ground, squeezing tighter. "I WILL NEVER BE A SLAVE AGAIN!." the beetle warrior roared, his fury palpable as he unleashed a wave of electricity from his pincer . The crackling energy surged through Dosu, lighting up the dark warehouse with a blinding flash.

Dosu's body convulsed under the shock, the power coursing through him overwhelming every nerve. He gasped, struggling to maintain any semblance of control. And he warrior cleaved Dosu's unconcious body against a wall with his pincer, the impact reverberating through the air.

"Now to finish this" He said creating a giant sword on his left arm, he raised his arm ready to cut his enemy's head When suddenly he felt his left hand grabbing it.

"What—?" the beetle warrior snarled, when suddenly his body spoke.

"I will not let you kill them" Said Naruto from inside the warrior

"This is not your problem. Human"

"It is when you try to kill someone in cold blood" Naruto said in a way that the warrior

"You shot this human twice with the intent to kill and now you beg to spare his life" snapped the Warrior

"THERE IS A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE OF ACTING IN SELF DEFENSE AND COLD BLOODED MURDER!" Naruto said angrily , he could be a lot of things impulsive, hot headed and even rude . But he become a Cop to help people if he just let someone killing them in cold blood then he is no different than a murderer.

"You think your morals matter here? You are a fool!" the warrior growled, trying to twist free from Naruto's grip.

"Better a fool than a murderer!" Naruto shot back and caused them to grow wings and crash against a wall,
"How did yo-"

"Is my body. Jackass" Naruto said while sticking his tongue from inside the armor .

The beetle warrior's eyes widened in shock, the anger on his face faltering for just a second. "You dare—?"

"You bet I do!" Naruto replied, his confidence surging. "And now you're going to listen to me. This is my body and you will listen to me"

"You insignificant little pest"

WEEEE-OOO WEEE-OOO

Both Naruto and the beetle froze for a moment, the blaring sirens growing louder by the second.

"Great more insects" The warrior changing the blade to a plasma ominously.

"NO!" Naruto shouted from inside. "You can't—those are cops!"

"Insignificant pests, easily exterminated" The beetle warrior hissed, raising the plasma cannon.

But before the weapon could fire, his left arm suddenly twisted, transforming into a mace. With a powerful swing, it smashed into the plasma cannon, shattering it into pieces.

"What—?!" the beetle warrior growled in shock.

"I told you my body my rules. NO KILLING, specially against cops" Naruto said with anger on his voice.

"They will be only more trouble later on , Killing them is the only sensible option" The warrior blasted his cannon but Naruto moved so it only attacked the ceiling

"Look," Naruto growled, determination fueling every word, "we can do this all day—or night in this case—but I'm not changing my mind. Unless you start obeying me, I swear I will make your life a living hell. Because believe me, if you ever become a murderer, I will find a way to destroy you, even if it kills me in the process." His tone was sharp, unwavering, his will echoing inside the warrior's mind. "You're in my head. Tell me if I'm lying."

For a moment, the beetle warrior hesitated, his burning fury clashing with the cold certainty in Naruto's voice. The weight of Naruto's threat rang in the warrior's mind, and for the first time, he could sense it—the truth behind the boy's words.

"You would... kill us both?" the warrior asked, incredulous.

"Without hesitation," Naruto replied, voice steady. "If it means stopping you from hurting people, I won't even blink. A police officer should be ready to give his life in the process of defending someone. This is not different"

"You're a really troublesome human," the warrior admitted, a bitter edge to his voice. "I should have picked a different host body."

"Don't care," Naruto shot back, rolling his eyes. "Also, you should give my body back—unless you want them to shoot you for looking like a monster out of a Kafka novel." He motioned toward the trio of unconscious villains. "And someone's got to explain this mess."

The warrior didn't respond, but Naruto could feel it—the armor receding, the black ooze peeling away from his skin. In mere seconds, the beetle's control was gone, retreating into the depths of his back. Naruto was back to his normal self, albeit shaken and sore, but standing on his own two feet.

"Okay," Naruto muttered to himself, rubbing the back of his neck, "let's start with a story that won't get me dissected in an underground lab." His eyes scanned the chaotic scene—between the scarab armor, the unconscious supervillains scattered on the floor, the psychopathic voice still lingering in the back of his mind, and the extensive property damage—it was like something straight out of a bad sci-fi flick.

"Yeah, this is gonna be a fun one to explain." He sighed, already feeling the headache forming.

The scarab in his back seemed to hum in agreement—or was it amusement?

"Great, now even the beetle thinks this is funny," Naruto grumbled. He really should have made a bigger effort to get somebody else at Sugiyamas


Rasa didn't wanted to do it. But with Dosu, Zaku and Kin currently in custody of the TMPD Superhumans division, he has to tell the leader of Project SCARLET BEETLE about the loss of the scarab.

Rasa wasn't happy about it.

"Colonel Ishida," He said, his voice stern "I trust you have good news?"

Rasa's throat went dry. "One of our scientist stole the Scarab . The situation escalated, and we lost 3 COCKROACHES to the TMPD, We been trying to find any possible turncoat that Ashina could left back in the OP"

"Don't worry Colonel" Responded his boss to rasa leaving him without words

"What do you mean Minister Shimura"

"Because I was the one who created the Window so Ashina could steal the Scarab". Said Danzo Shimura Japanese Minister of defense. Ex-JSDF general and leader of ROOT a black ops unit of agents that work for the Japanese governement. "The Scarab was too temperamental a wild horse that refused to be tamed and destroyed all our potential candidates. He was not fit for duty "

"But—" Rasa struggled to find the right words, his mind racing. "We've invested so much into this project. Losing the Scarab puts everything at risk! You're jeopardizing our mission!"

Shimura's voice turned icy, cutting through Rasa's panic. "Jeopardizing? No, Colonel. I'm saving the mission our donors stupid civilians who have never seen real combat refused to even consider an alternative to the Scarab behaviour"

"But sir, we just lost a superweapon! What if it fell into the hands of our enemies? They will destroy us!" His voice was edged with urgency, the weight of the situation pressing heavily on his shoulders.

Danzo leaned back in his chair, a sardonic smile playing on his lips. "Ah, Colonel Ishida, that's what I've always admired about you. While most cling to the illusion of peace, you see the truth no one dares to voice. The only true path to peace is to wield the greatest power possible. And right now, we live in the age of the superhuman. The americans Justice League is the world's foremost power."

Rasa, still grappling with the implications of their loss, struggled to connect the dots. "But sir, what does that have to do with the Scarab?"

"Because where the Scarlet Beetle failed, Herkus will succeed." His tone shifted, a sense of gravity seeping into his words.

"Herkus?" Rasa's confusion deepened, his mind racing to catch up.

"The Scarab's successor and superior in every aspect. He will be combat-ready soon, and that's why I need you, Major General Ishida, to ensure that Herkus becomes this nation's greatest defender."

"Major General?" Rasa echoed, the promotion shocking him into silence.

"Yes. Your new title—something fitting for your new responsabilitie Because when Herkus is ready the Scarab will Kneel against is superior".

(1); That true i checked Japanese laws for that, Japan is surprisingly Lax with drinking laws compared to the US or my country, so unless you do something like drunken driving or a crime the worst thing that can happen is a temporary detention in the drunk tank. That is unless it escalate to a bigger crime.

(2): This isn't set in any continuity like I said in the beginning this is more like a superhero Au than a true crossover. Still if I continue this you can expect more dc heroes to appear. Maybe i will have this be set in Young Justice so Naruto can help with the Reach during season 2.

(4); I'm a toku fan and I really like police procedural (though the asians ones more than the americans), this story takes a lot of inspiration in Kamen Rider Drive and the Rivers of London book series. For Toku fans think this story as Drive if Mr. Belt was Kurama...

(5): In general I like mature Naruto, but also idealistic, This Naruto is kinda similar to MAWS Clark Kent an idealistic heroic hero who fights people that swear that they are the good guys.

(6):If somebody doesn't get it. Kurama is the Warrior, He doesn't really have a name yet. He is also not really evil just extremely selfish and pragmatic. But he also has a pretty good reason to be like this

(7): Why Naruto is a cop , principally Author Appeal on my part, and because I think somebody with Naruto moral code, quick thinking and overall personality is the best fit for a real world job.
