Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 39
About an hour or so later Derek and Penelope looked up from their son to see the rest of the family walking into the room, they all smiled and motioned for them to come closer so that they could see the baby better.
Fran said, "ohhhh look at him, he's so gorgeous", Penelope said, "would you like to hold him, I know you've been waiting for a long time", Fran said, "I would love to hold my grandson", Derek lovingly took his son from Penelope's arms and handed him over gently into the loving arms of his grandma.
As the family gathered closer Dave said, "you did good kitten", Reid said, "you've got yourself a handsome little fella", JJ said, "awwww, I can't wait to spoil him rotten", Emily said, "ohhhhh just look at those chubby little cheeks".
Hotch said, "you both have a beautiful baby, congratulations", Fran looked up from her sleeping grandson and said, "have you picked a name for him yet?", Penelopenodded her head and said, "we have", Derek blew out a deep breath and said, "everybody, we would like for you to meet Hank Spencer Morgan".
Reid and Fran looked up at them and smiled, Fran said, "ohhhhh that name definitely suits him", Reid said, "I'm honored, truly and deeply honored", Derek said, "Hank after my pops and Spencer after the best little brother anybody could ever ask for", Reid walked over and hugged Derek and Penelope and said, "thank you both so much".
Penelope said, "a strong boy needs a strong name and we couldn't think of a better name for him", Fran looked at Spencer and said, "would you like to hold him?", Reid wiped away the tears that were streaming down his cheeks and said, "I'd love too", she then handed him gently over into the arms of his Uncle Spencer.
Hotch stepped closer and said, "I hate to put a damper on today but", Derek said, "what's wrong Hotch?", he sighed and said, "while you were giving birth to Hank I got a call from the prosecutor", Penelope said, "and?", Hotch said, "they are wanting the two of you to testify".
Derek said, "she just gave birth less than two hours ago man, she can't fly yet", Hotch said, "I know that and I told the prosecutor", Penelope said, "so what happens now?", Hotch said, "he said that he would tell the judge and that when they had decided what they were going to do that they would call me".
He no sooner got those words out of his mouth than his cell started ringing, he took it from his belt and said , "it's him, I have to take this" and he walked across the room so that the others could spend time bonding with Hank and as Derek and Penelope watched him nod his head and walk out into the hall all they could do was wait and see what the prosecutor had to say.
When Hotch walked back into the room Derek and Penelope looked up at him and them along with the others stood waiting to see what Hotch had to say.
