Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 10
A little while later when the team arrived at their favorite bar they placed their order for their drinks and then made their way over to the table, as they sat there looking around Derek blew out a deep breath and said, "I'm glad that last case is over", Dave said, "we all are son, we all are".
Reid glanced around the room and noticed Savannah instantly but didn't say anything to his friends, he'd never liked Savannah when she was dating Derek, she seemed too possessive, too all up in his business and he along with the rest of the team were quietly happy when they broke up some time ago.
JJ smiled as the bartender brought their drinks over, she said, "thanks", he said, "no problem JJ", the team then sat there enjoying a few drinks as they tried to wind down from a long and tiring case.
Savannah had noticed them the second they walked into the bar, she inwardly smiled when she saw Derek, ohhhh how she'd missed him, he was so handsome and she missed being part of his life, especially the part of his life where she shared his bed.
She was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard somebody calling her name, she looked up and saw Derek's smiling face, she said, "hey", he said, "why don't you come over and join us?", she said, "I don't want to bother you guys, I know that you just got back from a hard case and are trying to wind down".
Derek said, "you are more than welcomed to join us, you're our friend Savannah", she inwardly rolled her eyes and thought, "there is that friend word again", she then said, "okay, I'll join you for a drink", he smiled and then led her across the bar so that they could join the rest of the team.
Reid looked at JJ and actually rolled his eyes before Derek got close enough to see it, JJ said, "I know Spence, we all feel that way", they all then smiled at Savannah as she joined them at the table.
For the next hour or so they sat laughing and talking and Savannah couldn't help but feel happy, she was back in Derek's life, not like she would like but for now, for now it would do but she knew that she was running out of time, she knew that Sam and Penelope would be coming back to town in a few weeks.
As she sat there looking at Derek she thought, "I will get you back, I will be back in your bed again Derek and that you can count on", after a few more minutes she stood up and said, "thanks for letting me join you for a few drinks, but, I'm going to head out my ride is here".
They all smiled and said, "have a good night", Savannah smiled and said, "you too" before making her way from the bar, as she slid into the backseat of her uber she blew out a deep breath and thought, "getting Derek back into bed isn't going to be as easy as I hoped, it seems that he actually loves that fat cow and why, why I can't fathom.
As she rode back to her place she rubbed her temples and said to herself, "when Sam and Penelope show up in a few weeks, things are going to get really interesting, she grinned and said, "very interesting indeed and a part of her could hardly wait for the fireworks to start and the sooner the better.
