Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 24
The rest of that day went smoothly with Derek rarely leaving his baby girls side, he wanted her to rest, especially after everything Sam and Savannah had put her through, not the thing was, how long would it take for Sam to go to the FBI building and try to find out something about where Penelope was.
Hotch and the rest of the team didn't have to wait to long to hear from Kevin because the next day Sam had finally shown up at the FBI building, he headed straight to his on again, off again Natalie's floor, which just happened to be the floor that Kevin was on at the time.
Natalie smiled at Kevin and said, "hey Kevin?", he said, "oh hey Nat, how are you?", she said, "I'm good, how are you?", Kevin said, "doing good, can't complain", he then saw Sam out of the corner of his eye and inwardly smiled, it was then that Nat said, "you're still friends with Penelope, right?", Kevin said, "yes".
Natalie leaned in and said, "how's she doing, she was here for only a little while and then left on a case with her team but they haven't come back yet and from the buzz going around the case is over", Kevin said, "everything is good, the team are all on downtime so Agent Rossi offered his beach house in Hawaii for some rest and relaxation".
Sam smiled and said, "so that's where they are huh, well it can't be too hard to find out where exactly they are", he stood listening as Kevin said, "yeah they are on downtime for like 2 or 3 weeks so the rest will do them all good", Natalie nodded her head and said, "that's true, everybody needs to rest, especially doing the jobs that they do",Kevin said, "so true".
Natalie said, "the next time you talk to Penelope can you please tell her hello for me?", he smiled and said, "sure, no problem", Kevin then noticed Sam trying to sneak to the emergency door to slip down the stairs, Kevin then said, "well I better get back to Penelope's lair, I'm covering for her while she's on break",
Natalie okay, see ya later Kevin", he said, "later Nat" and then turned and quickly headed toward Penelope's lair so that he could call Hotch and let him know that Sam now knew where they were and he was sure that he'd be joining them soon.
Hotch and the others were sitting on the beach when his cell started ringing, he smiled and hit talk and put it on speaker and said, "Kevin, I take it that you've either heard from or seen Sam?", Kecin said, "yes sir, he was here a few minutes ago and he accidently on purpose heard where you guys are and he couldn't leave fast enough".
Hotch said, "thanks for everything Kevin", he said, "no problems sir, no problems at all", when the call ended he looked at the team and grinned, Derek said, "ohhhh it must be good Hotch is smiling", Penelope said, "something tells me that Sam knows, right?", Hotch nodded his head and said, "yeah, he knows so by tomorrow or the next day he'll be here, him and Savannah will be here and that's when we get the evidence we need to put them both behind bars where they belong",
Derek intertwined fingers with Penelope and said, "the sooner the better I say", everybody nodded their heads yes in agreement before getting back to what they were doing, they wanted to spend some time on the beach laughing and playing with the boys before they got everything set and ready for the arrival of Sam and Savannah.
