"Good morning, Tai!" Yuuki greets excitedly. Tai, who just crawls out of the tent, blinks in surprise, not expecting Yuuki to greet him all of a sudden in the morning.

"G-good morning, Yuuki..." Tai mutters with a nervous smile. 'So, last night wasn't a hallucination, huh...I guess having Suicune as a partner will make you question reality...'

"So, what's for today's meal?!" Yuuki asks as Tai sighs before walking out of the tent.

"At least let me clean myself up, Yuuki," Tai mutters while rubbing his eyes.

"Very well!" Yuuki said, trying and failing to stop his tails from wagging violently. Tai tries not to laugh before grabbing a few things from his bags. He was glad that the camping set provides a daily hygiene set as well or else he is unable to imagine how he will feel.

After a moment, he finally finishes as he pulls the ingredients out of his bags. Tai sighs before looking at the ingredients he has left.

'In just a day, I already used a fifth of my rice grains. It will only last for what? 2 and a half days? Now that I have two mouths to feed, I need to use more ingredients. I would like to buy some ingredients, but I don't even have money...' Tai thought in worry, cooking his rice and the Magikarps. After cooking his rice, he fried it along with egg and minced Magikarp, adding all the plants and the tiny mushroom to remove the fishy scent and give a proper aroma.

"This should be enough..." Tai mutters before he activates Chef's Blessing on the food and activates his appraisal.

Yuuki sniffs the food once before he tastes it, and to his surprise, he still finds it tasty. It wasn't as flavorful as yesterday, but it was still good enough.

"This is tasty!" Yuuki exclaims as Tai smiles a bit.

"Thanks..." Tai looks at his plate and eats it. As he eats his food, he can't help but think about his Unique Skill. He knows that Chef's Blessing is an amazing skill, especially with the effect it grants on his cooked food, but he felt it was a cheat to make his food taste amazing. It feels like his efforts in learning to cook seem meaningless.

'Stop it!' Tai shakes his head to get rid of his thoughts. 'Let's not focus on my pride; right now, survival is my priority and my Cheat-I mean, Unique Skill grants me the survival I need. Don't complain about my stupid pride!'

"Tai, is something wrong?" Tai looks at Yuuki, who has finished his meal. Tai merely nods while giving the legendary beast a small smile.

"Yeah, just thinking..." Tai mutters as he finishes his meal before getting up and washing the pan and his plate. Once he's done, after trying and failing not to attract Magikarp's attention while questioning Magikarp's blatant cannibalism, he puts the tools back into his bag, and Yuuki looks at his partner with a curious gaze.

"So, what's the plan, partner?" Yuuki asks.

"I was hoping we could find a town. I have no idea where am I and-!" Tai yelps when Yuuki uses his tails to lift him and places him on his back.

"Not to worry, I shall bring you to the town immediately," Yuuki exclaims before rushing off. Tai yelps as he wraps his arms around Yuuki's neck.

'Wait, wait, wait, wait!!! Don't just rush off!!' Tai tries to say something, but the wind blows on his face, preventing him from saying a word. 'You're a Legendary Pokemon, and you'll attract a lot of attention!!! The whole town will question your existence!!!'

In just an instant, Yuuki rushed through the city's entrance, rushing past an officer lady with green hair with a Growlithe next to her. The rush creates gusts and causes their hair and fur to blow towards the direction of the gust. Both figures blink Noctowlish before the officer grabs a whistle and blows it.

"Yuuki!! Stop!!" Tai panics as he hears the whistle blow and Growlithe barking.

Later

"I'm so, so, so sorry!!!"

Tai bows down rapidly as he continues to apologize profusely. Suicune can be seen sitting next to Tai with a Mareepish expression. The officer stares at the kid sternly before letting out a sigh.

"Don't ride your Pokemon so recklessly at such high speed. We truly don't want any accidents." The officer chastises Tai who could only look down in shame. "I'll let you go just this once. Next time, I will not let you go scott-free as your Ditto goes wild."

"Y-yes, officer! I'll keep that in mind!" Tai replies before his mind comes to a halt to what the officer just said. "Wait, Ditto?"

"Yeah, your Pokemon. You teach your Ditto to transform into a perfect replica of a Suicune, right? It's quite impressive for a trainer at such an age." The officer compliments as the Growlithe barks in agreement. Tai blinks, not expecting this direction, but he welcomes it wholeheartedly, wanting to avoid gaining too much attention.

Of course, the universe has another plan.

"Apologies, human lady." Yuuki decided to chime in, causing Tai to turn pale. In an instant, a powerful presence emits from Suicune as both Officer and her Growlithe feel a shiver in their spine. "In what way do I look like a fucking Ditto?"

'Yuuki!!!' Tai felt his soul slowly escaping his new body. 'She provides a perfect cover-up!! Why do you have to ruin it!!!?!?'

"T-that's a real...Suicune..." The officer mutters in shock. One thing that every human knows is that in the story, Legendary Pokemon could communicate to humans through thought projection, even if they're non-psychic. Ditto may be capable of copying their physical appearances, but their feats can't be replicated.

Tai could only cry internally, wondering what kind of shit he has done to deserve such karma.

One explanation later

"Geez, kid...you are very lucky."

After successfully calming both sides, Tai decides to come clean with everything except the part where he got isekai'd. Tai was very horrible at lying, unable to improvise with any lies in an instant, so telling the truth was his only way.

He was so glad that the first person he encountered revealed to be Officer Jenny, easily one of the most approachable officers in every multiverse except for some occasions. He's lucky there are no such occasions.

"Y-yeah..." Tai mutters as he covers his face, unable to show his face. How did his situation become like this in an instant?

"Well, at least you're not unprotected. I notice that you have no Pokeballs with you." Tai winces before rubbing his head. "And also, you said your name is Tai Yasuno, right?"

"Y-yeah...?" Tai says as he raises his eyebrow.

"..." The officer pulls out her tabloid and shows a picture of him with 'dead' written in a bold letter, surprising Tai. "You are one of the passengers, along with your parents, the S.S Anne from Sinnoh, on the way to Kanto, presumed dead. And you manage to be found in Route 1."

'Wait, what!?!' Tai was in disbelief when he heard the report. He doesn't expect a backstory behind the owner of the body he currently possesses.

"Tell me, are you truly Tai Yasuno?" Jenny asked with narrowed eyes as her Growlithe did the same. Tai was unable to answer it before he felt a gentle touch on his shoulder.

"You can drop your suspicion, officer," Yuuki says. "You see, Tai here has lost his memories of his life before the accident happened. That's why he's been hesitating to answer you because it has been confusing for the child."

In an instant, the officer's expression turns from suspicion to pity. Her Growlithe lets out a whimper before he nuzzles Tai's legs.

"My apologies, it seems that was unprofessional of me. Even if you're not Tai Yasuno, you are still a 10-year-old child, and I should be more mindful." The officer says apologetically.

"D-don't worry too much, I-I would be suspicious too if I'm in your shoes," Tai exclaims while waving his hands.

"Thank you..." Jenny says with a gentle smile. "And even though you don't remember, I should apologize for bringing up a sensitive topic."

"I-it's okay..." Tai mutters.

"No, it's not," Jenny says before she gets up. "Let's get you with the help you need. First thing first, showers."

"U-umm..." Tai stutters, unable to reply to Jenny's words.

Small Timeskip

"This is not what I expect in mind..."

Tai looks at his new Trainer's ID. It turns out that the owner of this body does have a Trainer's ID he got from Sinnoh, and he plans to start his journey in Kanto. But, the incident prevents him from achieving his supposed dream.

On top of getting a new Trainer's ID, he got a compensation of 200,000 Poke-Dollars for the accidents. Tai was baffled at the sudden shift in his life, but he ain't complaining.

To top it all off, he got a new Pokeball for Yuuki and a phone with Jenny's contact number in case anything happens. He takes everything he said about his karma back.

"Didn't you prefer this over others?" Yuuki asks as Tai merely nods. He also notices that the citizens here couldn't help but stare at Yuuki in disbelief. Well, he can't exactly blame them; Yuuki is not a run-of-a-mill Pokemon they would see every day.

"Yes...but, it was a bit too much..." Tai mutters while holding his Pokeball. All of a sudden, the Pokeball suddenly loses all the colors and is absorbed into his body, much to their surprise. Before they can panic, a notification can be seen popping in front of Tai.

"...holy shit..." Tai mutters in shock as Yuuki widens his eyes in disbelief.

"I heard Systems are groundbreaking powers mostly provided by Allfather to the transmigrators, but seeing it myself is mindblowing!" Yuuki exclaims in shock before looking at Tai's newly acquired phone. "Quick! Try it with your new phone!"

"Y-yeah!" Tai hastily pulls out his newly bought phone from his box, seeing the system also absorbs the tool before he gains another notificaton.

"I'm amazed at how Allfather creates such powers..." Yuuki mutters in awe.

"I guess this ain't a bad start..." Tai mutters before closing the system's notification. This would be his true starting point.
