"Hermione, can i show you something?" Harry said after classes that day as he intercepted Hermione on her way to the library. Hermione stopped, turned to Harry, and nodded. Harry simply smiled and lead Hermione in the direction of the old griffin's tower. As they walked he watch her, windering what her reaction would be ti his emotions regarding her. He also wondered what she would say about him having another mate. Chuckling to himself he tought about the reaction he had when Merlin told him about having two mates or more.

Flashback

"Good, you're early. Now lets begin. First is to understand the mindset of the dragon within. The main thing you have to remember is that your dragon will either do one of two things. It will rampage until calmed by it mates or it will remain hidden until awoken by the company of its mates. Right now having you shift without at least one of your mates here, its always a good thing, but we cant exactly do your training in the future." Merlin watch Harry for a reaction to his words and was surprised to see a look if confusion on Harry's face.

"How many mates does a dragon shifter usually have?" Harry asked worried about Merlins answer.

Chuckling Merlin responded, "usually no more than two but also no less than two."

"Nope, nope, nope. Not happening. I don't want more than one mate." Merlin out right laughed as Harry began pacing the length of the courtyard. "It's not funny. I don't want to have to deal with more than one mate."

"Relax young dragon. Most dragons don't meet both mates until they are fully mature. You, dragon, are still young and will only meet one your mates. Though this might change with you being here and then traveling back to the future. Now dragons can eat most foods, but we prefer meat, the rarer the better. Exotic meats aren't to bad either. Now shift, we are going to get you flying. We will meet in the field outside the castle walls. From there I will tesch you the art of hunting, along with a few different flying techniques. We will also work on landing so you don't face plant the first time you land." And so Harrys training with Merlin went. For three days Harry was taught by Merlin the basics of being a dragon. Afterwards Harry was sent to the thunder in the mountains behind the castle.

End Flashback

"Where are we going?" Hermione asked.

"It isnt too much farth. Just down a side corridor." Harry smiled knowing that technically they were now 'out of bounds' in the school, but it was also one of the only places that paintings didn't exist. Walking around a corner Hermione gasped seeing the wide openings in the wall of the castle. Walking over to the benches that lined the side wall Harry sat down and watched Hermione explore the area.

"What is this place? How come it isn't feezing cold up here?" Chucking Harry oatted the seat next to him. Being careful Hermione sat down next to him and looked at him suspiciously.

"This was known as Griffin's Tower. It was the roost to the Griffin's of Gryffindor. The reason it isnt freezing is because from the inside you can see the ledge and would fall without a broom or flying creature, but from the outside the wall is hidden with ancient magic. It's this magic that orevents the weather with entering into the castle and why it isn't freezing." Hermione'seyes widened and she looked around curiously. "There are many hidden secrets in here that even when I was here in the past I didn't find them all. I wanted to shae this with you and to ask a honest question."

"Ask your question. I will try to answer honestly, but it deoends on the question." Harry nodded then stealing his nerves he turned to face Hermione.

"Would you go...um...Would hou go out with me?" Hermione smiled and launched herself at him buring her face in his neck.

"I wondered if you would ever ask, but then I remembered the jealous prat and knew that you wouldn't ask so long as he was around. Yes Harry I would love to go out with you. No flying on a date." Harry laughed and just oulled her closer to him.

"What if I found a way for you to fly, without fear of falling?"

"Like that would ever happen." Harry smiled and stood from the bench letting go of Hermione. He quickly ran at the ledge and jumped off. Hermione screams turning into a gasp as Harry then alighted upon the ledge in his dragon from. Arthur and Uther had once agreed to the expansion of the tower for Harry and Merlin to have somewhere other than the courtyard and fields to land. "Your a dragon animagus?"

Harry nodded his head and the offered his shoulder to her. Stepping back Hermione shook her head while also biting her lower lip. Shaking his head Harry laid down and still offered her his shoulder, though this time when he did his wings were folded. Hermione smiled and realized that only wanted her to lean against his side. Pulling a book from her bag she sat leaning against Harry and started to read their charms homework. Harry laid there listening as she read with his eyes closed just enjoying her company. A few hours later Hermione nudged Harry awake, for without realizing he had fallen asleep with her next to him.

"It's time for dinner. Come on," Hermione rose and watched Harry stand before shifting back to human. "How is it that you can stay in dragon form while asleep?"

"I learned many things in the past, but the one thing Merlin was adamant about was that i had to live one year with a wild Dragon Thunder. It took me about three days to figure out how to stay in dragon form for an entire year. Now its just simply a part of who I am." The duo walked down to dinner with no disturbances. Eating their dinner the duo then headed off to the common room and up to bed.
