The latter observed them . Westen was so distracted that he wasn't paying attention to what was happening in front of him , he didn't see the Daimon's tail strike him with a full whip .

His friends didn't see what happened to him , and Cardinal Westen was thrown into the woods away from the others . Before impact , his transformation was cancelled for no reason , and at the worst possible moment , he was knocked to the ground . His landing left him with a head wound and bleeding , and Roni lost consciousness .
