Nearly three months later.

"I need to lay down." Pacey winced feeling the exhaustion engulf his body, his body swaying with dizziness. "Can you handle topside?"

"Of course." Joey breathed in fear nodding robotically as Pacey stumbled down the stairs of the cabin, leaving her on deck breathing heavily.

The main part of their summer on the True Love had been magical and romantic. They took jobs as needed and made love almost every day. However, things started to sour in the last week before they started to head back to the dock in Capeside.

Pacey had been irritable and short but also extremely exhausted, everything made him tired, even fishing for their lunch or dinner.

Thankfully they were a few hours shy of docking in Capeside, Joey could see the land on the horizon.

When they were less than a half hour from shore Joey slipped into the cabin. Finding Pacey on the small couch, his eyes closed, she smiled but stopped noticing his stuttering chest. "Pace?" Stepping closer her anxiety turned to fear as Pacey remained in the same position. Leaning over him her fear ballooned to downright dread hearing his erratic breaths. His pallor wasn't any better, his cheeks a grayish pale with pinkish undertones. "Oh my god…PACE?!"

When he didn't respond adrenaline took over as she bolted back up topside, her eyes wide seeing the land a half amount closer than it was before. Dropping to the controls she was thankful for the night over two months ago when Pacey showed her how to navigate with the controls, then he lay her gently on the wooden floor of the cabin and explored her to abandon.

Shaking off the sultry memory she focused on the land in front of her as she grabbed the radio from her side. "May day…mayday this is the True Love. I am about ten minutes out from docking at the dock just off Main Street. I need an ambulance and Doug Witter to the dock immediately. Pacey Witter is aboard unresponsive, and his breathing is erratic." Joey huffed throwing the radio down, her tear-filled eyes focused on guiding the small boat into its spot next to the dock.

She felt some relief hearing the multiple sirens in the distance, her heart aching with fear. She was dying to check on Pacey, but she feared what she'd see.

"JOEY!"

She was jolted back to reality seeing not just Doug but John Witter running to the boat. Her heart seizing as Doug came up to her, out of breath.

"Where is he Joey?"

Bursting into tears Joey frantically motioned to the cabin. "Down below."

"Ok…go guide the ambulance Pop and I will get him out."

"Thank you." Joey cried, turning to the dock and running out to where Doug and his dad's cruisers sat.

Read and review…if you want more. I know don't kill me. I promised Pacey will not die and I am sticking to that, but cancer isn't easy and there are ups and downs. Thank you for reading.
