I'm so happy a lot of you are excited for the plot of Cinder's father. I was hesitant on writing it since it was never confirmed in the books but now I'm more excited. As of right now, I'm writing the exact part she, well, spoilers, sees him.
The Boy Who Cried Wolf: Part Six
It's three days before the long weekend and Cinder's body is shaking with excitement in each step. She can finally go back to Luna. She loves Commonwealth more than she thought she would've before she moved here, but Artemisia will always have a place in her heart. It was her first home. And now she can visit with a mission to complete.
Cinder walks in the class right before it starts. She strides over to her desk and sits with confidence. All her friends are there, except for Wolf, and they notice that she has something on her mind. Winter's already vibrating with excitement.
"Are you guys busy this long weekend?" Cinder asks.
Everyone collectively nods.
Thorne puts up his hand. "Is this a road trip?"
"Yes, but in the air," Cinder responds.
"You made a flying car?"
"I wish." Cinder smiles brighter. "Levana's letting me go back to Artemisia."
All their jaws drop and Winter's laughing to herself at their reactions.
"I want you guys to come," Cinder says. "All expenses will be paid for since my dear mother left a lot behind and Levana's been saving it."
Nobody responds because they're still in shock. First the news about Cinder's biological father and now a trip. She was dropping news like bullets.
"But be warned, even in the influential, glamorous, perfect world of Luna, there is still a swamp of corruption," Cinder says, folding her hands together.
"Now I regret running away to France." Scarlet groans, running a hand through her curls. "I'm still grounded but at least I got a week off for the subpoena."
"I'm still grounded for that party," Thorne grumbles.
"My legal work is still being processed," Kai says. "Even the guardianship papers which means that my legal documents, like my passport, are with Torin."
Cinder's face drops but she narrows her eyes at Scarlet and Throne. Their reasons were completely their fault. But Cress hasn't said anything so she turns to her with a bright and hopefully convincing smile. It may come off as creepy now that Cress is looking at her completely horrified.
"I can't go," Cress says.
"Why not?" Cinder asks. "I can't bring Winter and I have to book tickets soon. I already got a room. You won't even have to pay me back."
"Luna is across the ocean."
"Hence the airplane."
Before Cress could argue, the school bell rings. She's actually grateful for that because she had no argument. Cinder turns around and Cress takes a breath as the teacher starts the lesson. A part of her said no because she still has to ask, but also because she hasn't been back in Luna since she left.

If his mom asked, he went to school. Lucky for him, she left for work before he woke up and came back after the school day ended.
Wolf woke up and didn't feel like going to school. Before he came to the choice to stay home, he took a shower but just stopped when he was looking at himself in the mirror. He glances at the tattoo on his bicep which is his last name scrawled under a barcode. After that, he can't help but twist a little to see the howling wolf tattoo on his lower back. Both symbols, images of who he is and was and everything in between, forever marked on his body.
Scarlet said his identity crisis was like Cinder's but he doesn't see it. He still can't connect the dots. But if Cinder or Selene actually knew her biological dad, she'd have a completely different life. She wouldn't even be Cinder. She'd be Selene Blackburn or likely whatever his last name is.
And maybe that is like him. Without the move here or even joining a gang and getting inked, he wouldn't have his friends, his Scarlet or even be here staring at his reflection in the mirror.
Being a Lunar or even a human being is more than anyone could ever comprehend. It's a concept that's more than anyone could ever know. Everyone's going to see everyone how they want, no matter what he'd do or say.

"Wait, you're serious?"
Later that day, when her father got back from work, Cress decided to tell him about Cinder's plan. She wanted to wait a bit longer, maybe have him settle and rest from his long day, but she couldn't hold it in. Cress knew that Cinder would be calling her soon for an answer.
And, to her surprise, he said yes the moment she stopped talking.
"I am," Sage tells her. "Look, Crescent, you don't go out much and now you have this amazing opportunity. I want you to see the world more, even if it's simply going back to a different part of the homeland."
"It's completely different than the homeland, according to what I knew and what Cinder and Winter have said."
Sage shrugs a little. "Well, Crescent, Artemisia may as well be a different country."
"Cinder warned us."
Cress feels her phone vibrate in her pocket. Knowing who it is, she reads the message with a bright smile on her face.
Cinder: Is the jury still out?
Cress: Case is closed. I'm in.
Cress doesn't see Cinder typing for a moment and she knows that her friend is cheering on the other side. Whatever fear Cress had is now gone because it's now excitement. This is an adventure she can't wait to go on.
Cinder: Pack your bags! It'll be sunny!

"I knew you'd be here."
Scarlet frowns at Wolf from behind the welcome desk at his job at the gym. She's still in her school uniform despite it being well into the evening. She probably made a few pit stops along the way or simply didn't change. Either way, Wolf just stares at her. He isn't sure what to say since he's not in the mood and she's angry. Those are both landmines he doesn't want to set off, especially since he's on the clock.
"You weren't at school today," Scarlet points out. "I've been texting you all day."
"Slept through my alarm," Wolf lies. He feels bad about that but it was the first thing he thought of.
Scarlet gives him a really face. "You texted me good morning before I was awake."
Wolf shrugs, putting his hands on the counter. "You know, it's been a day … or a few. I'm still thinking about everything."
Scarlet sighs, loosening up. "I know. Look, it's a blessing and a curse to feel things so deeply. The best way to avoid your distractions is to distract yourself with other things."
Wolf raises a brow, feeling a bit intrigued. "Like what?"
He leans forwards, biting his bottom lip. Scarlet smiles suggestively, crossing her arms and shifting all her weight on one hip. Then, she laughs a little.
"I didn't mean that but we'll do that when you're on your break," Scarlet says.
Wolf straightens. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm not the right person to tell you, but I can say this -"
Scarlet shouldn't spoil the surprise since she isn't the right person to do so. Instead, she grins coyly before using the counter to boost herself up to quickly give him a peck. It's only a sneak peek for his break.
Why is everyone here having some sort of crisis? (Why am I asking this when I'm the answer?)
