Squawk squawk Eagle eye here and I am so excited for you all to read this story
I hate that we don't have an Azula redemption arc and how everyone thinks she's destined to be evil forever, but she shouldn't. She might not be fully redeemable, but she shouldn't suffer like she is. She shouldn't have been thrown into an asylum for a year; that just made things worse, if you ask me. Ursa might have been a good mother to Zuko, but not really towards Azula, so yeah, that's messed up if you ask me. All Azula had was Ozai, who was basically an emotionally abusive father to her. I'm pretty sure he never really loved Azula at all, and it probably got worse after Zuko was banished. But enough about my opinion; let's get this story started.
We see a raven haired girl wearing a dark red cape and black under clothes. She has Amber eyes that seem as if she were lost staring at nothing in the distance she is traveling through a forest at night in search of food. The person we see is none other than former princess Azula of the fire nation. It had been a month since Azula had been at the spirit temple with the crazy spirit who was basically torturing her with hard truth that I'm she didn't want to hear, and now she was all alone because her companions had betrayed her Now she had to find everything by herself, which is easier said than done she hadn't had a decent meal in weeks and she was starving she had no idea what plants were poisonous or non-poisonous so she couldn't trust them and she tried desperately to catch one of the small elephant rats that scurried along the forest floors to know avail in her weakening state they were faster than her so she had no other choice, but to try and find a pond to fish in but first she had to carve a spear in order to catch them. It took her about an hour or so, but she had finally found a pond and started to carve a sphere and as she was doing, so she thought about, what had happened at the spirit temple she had seen crazy images of her family but all this made her question. What did she really want? The answer seemed obvious right she wanted power she wanted control. But the more she thought about it, the more she realized were wanting those things have got her. They had got her here she had messy clothes. Her title had been stripped from her, and everybody had abandoned her. The only person who had ever stayed with her was father. He was the only one who showed that they truly cared for her. He taught her all the bending skills that she knows he was the only one who seemed happy when she discovered she was a fire bender and she would make him proud one day. She would find people to follow her and with them be able to break her father out and create a new empire Far away with that thought in mind, Azula went to sleep
when Azula woke up, she found that she was more hungry than what she had been since the asylum. Oh how she hated that place. That place did absolutely nothing to help her in fact she's pretty sure it had made her more insane Then what she already was and it didn't help that "mother." Kept bothering her with words of fake love she knew her mother never really loved her all she ever saw in Azula was her father. She saw a monster something that was unlovable. And it hurt more than Azula was willing to admit no matter what she did to get her mother love no matter how talented how clever how special Azula was her mother never paid attention to her. The only time she ever got attention from her mother was when she was scolding her for doing something wrong to an animal or Zuzu and so when mother left Azula took the chance to make Zuko feel the same way she felt she made him feel like he was the reason mother left. She made him feel like mother didn't love him. She knew that Zuko felt the same way about her and father, but it's not her fault that she was stronger than him. Zuko was weak from the beginning. That's why she sat out on the mission to make him a stronger fire, Lord. And she was succeeding until her followers betrayed her, and after all she did for them, she broke them out of that torturous asylum, and yet they still betrayed her. Why does everybody betray her? They all scared of her, aren't they and they know what she is capable of so why do they betray her and why hasn't anybody betrayed Zuko? He doesn't use fear he uses the useless love tactic, but everybody loves him. Nobody's going to betray him. Why does everybody betray her? Why is she alone in this world and the only person who has ever cared about her has been father. He made her strong he may have shown it, but he did care for her because showing love, and kindness is weak, and if there's one thing, her father is not weak and neither is she. She is a fire bending prodigy she is cunning and smart she is the conqueror of Ba sing Sa And she struck down the avatar But why was she all alone and Zuko was surrounded with people who cared about him. He had everything and she was here alone with nobody. Maybe the spirit monster was right. She truly was a monster and nobody would ever love or care for her not since she failed father he was the only person who showed love for her, but yet she failed him. She couldn't do one simple task. couldn't take down Zuko or his water bending savage friend, she was a failure to her father. She was alone truly alone. With that thought in mind, she cried, cried more than what she has in a while because she was alone with nobody she would never have anybody. She will be forever alone.
we see a beautiful mid 40s woman with silky, dark, brown hair and golden dragon like eyes walking through the forest with a basket of berries she seems at peace, but there is a tiny spark in her eye, indicating that something is troubling her but she ignores it and starts singing a tune
The dragons fly through the air, almighty and strong
they are the protectors of the fire nation. They keep us safe through the night.
They are our loyal companions who roam free in the sky. They will not let harm come to us because they are loyal to the fire nation,
the original fire benders, who gifted the flame to the sun warriors who created the fire nation mighty, and strong
with the flame, we have been gifted we bring warm and life to the world So in return for giving us this gift, we make sure the dragons stay free
some bond with humans with the gift of flames, but we never take a vantage of these Almighty creatures because they are the children of Agni
and they are here to protect us with the help of the raise of the sun so the dragons run free. We are safe from those who dare to hurt us because we are part of the mighty fire nation, where the dragons roam free.
as she sings that, she gets a sad smile on her face and whispers to herself saying. That used to be her favorite wonder how she's doing. my little fire lily.
The woman continues to walk through the beautiful forest and then she comes upon a clearing with a lake in it, but there's something right by that lake that is laying down unconscious. It is a young teenage girl with raven hair and a deep red tattered cloak, the woman gasps and she runs to the girl dropping her basket of berries in the process. She turns the girl over who is highly malnourished who seems to be baking in the hot sun but as she looks at the girl, she seems to recognize her and put a hand over her mouth with tears in her eyes and whispers
Azula?!
Yep, I'm leaving it right there. Who is this mysterious woman? What will happen to Azula? You will just have to wait and see. I know I'm being totally evil right now with my inconsistent release time for chapters but hey don't blame me. I have a personal life to you know I don't just spend all my time in a dark little room writing OK and sometimes inspiration just has to come for me. It just can't happen. I just can't put something on the page it has to make sense but I will try to better increase my posting time but no promises. It might get a little better but who knows with me. So anyways that's all for now. See y'all next time and have qa beautiful wonderful amazing day.
Eagle eye out
