You don't even know what you want from love anymore
Learning the true consequences of my selfish decisions.
I felt like we had it all planned out, I guess I fucked up the vision.
"Complicated.? I would say its alot more then that."
"Who are you wearing the mask for? Me. Her. Yourself?"
"You know where to find me when you come to you're senses." Peyton said. As she turned from him.
Lucas got into his car and drove home. He parked. Locked up. Then made his way inside.
Lowen and Sage were seated beside each other. Simon on his own chair.
"We've gotten through the credits. You haven't missed anything." Brooke said.
"Great. We need to do this alot more. Spending time all together." Lucas said.
"Me and the short stacks were just talking about that."
"We need a family trip to the cabin. There's no reason why we can't go. We're off at school. Mom is off at the store. You can take off the weekend right?" Simon questioned.
"I can and will." Lucas replied
And with that the first movie started.

Later on that night
"Simon is packing his own luggage and helping Lowen pack his own. After i get my stuff packed. I'll make sure Sage has what she needs"
"This whole cabin trip came out of nowhere. They just brought this up and decided it on their own." Brooke announced.
"We haven't been back there since they were alot younger." Lucas replied.
"I think we should hold off announcing anything to the kids right now. They are excited and looking forward to family time and i don't want to spoil that."
"They think you hate uncle Jake." Brooke proclaimed.
"I don't hate Jake. Why would they think that?" Lucas asked.
"Because just talking about him makes you like this. Jealous and clearly uncomfortable." Brooke replied.
"I'm not jealous of Jake." Lucas replied.
"I need a bath. Constant customers. Phone calls. Restocking racks." Brooke said.
As she started to untie robe.
"You'll be out of here by the time i'm done right?" Brooke asked.
"I will be. I miss this bed." Lucas said.
"Speaking of you and a bed. Sage and Lowen know you don't sleep in here with me." Brooke revealed.
"What did you tell them?" Lucas asked. He realized then despite trying to keep away the cracks in their relationship from their children. Some things were caught anyway.
"I told them daddy is on punishment. And they didn't have anymore questions." Brooke replied.
Lucas watched the robe fall before the bathroom door closed and the water was turned on.
...
"Did my wife ever tell you why we stopped booking sessions?" Lucas questioned.
"No and i didn't question it. I know she used to book appointments and leave without talking much or at all." The older woman replied.
"My career was on the rise and i didn't want to make time for these sessions. And she kept showing up holding out hope i would be there." Lucas explained. To their former therapist.
