August, 1985:

Harry was alone in Santa Carla. He was alone across the pond with no way back home. To be fair, he had always known that the Dursleys would eventually ditch him. He just didn't think it would be in a different country.

As he walked down the boardwalk, lots of people gave him weird looks. He supposed he didn't look all that nice at the moment. He was dirty with too big clothes on that looked like rags. He wanted to cry at the injustice of it all. It wasn't fair. He didn't ask to be abandoned, and he didn't ask to be unloved. They hated him and he hated them too, but was it too much to be loved by his relatives?

It was just two days before that he thought they would finally love him. Uncle Vernon had a business trip to California and for once his relatives were taking him with them. He had gotten his hopes up for nothing. As soon as they passed the Santa Carla sign, he just knew he was done for. "Murder Capital of the World!" it said. And now he was alone there.

After a while, he started to get tired. Harry decided to find somewhere to sleep and hide for the day as the sun was starting to rise and he didn't want to be found and killed. He walked away from the boardwalk and started into the nearby woods where there would hopefully be somewhere to hide. After a while he found an abandoned fox den that was just big enough to fit his small body. He fell asleep almost instantly.

When he woke up, it was to the sound of motorcycles racing past his hiding place and toward the boardwalk. Harry was in awe of the four motorcycles and their riders. He kept hiding though. When the motorcycles were gone, he finally crept out of his bed for the night. He decided to explore the woods some more instead of heading towards the boardwalk to be gawked at. Strangely, but not to him, he found that he could see perfectly fine in the dark. It had always been like that as he spent most of his time in a dark cupboard.

After walking for some time, Harry stumbled upon some cliffs. He gasped as he saw the sky. Out here by the cliffs there wasn't enough light to pollute the sky, so Harry got to see the stars for the first time. He decided to lay down by the cliffs and just stare at the stars. He must have fallen asleep again because the next thing he knew was four motorcycles were pulling up next to him.

"What's with the kid?" asked a man with long blond hair and crystal blue eyes.

"What kid?" responded a curly-haired blond with bright blue eyes.

"That kid," answered a tall, long-haired brunet with warm brown eyes.

At this point, all four of the men were staring at Harry. This frightened him, so he began to back up. Which was a mistake, as he stepped back off the cliff. The four strangers widened their eyes as Harry began to fall. He didn't want to die. He wished he was safe back up on the cliff instead of falling. And with a loud crack, Harry was once again back on the cliff.

"What the fuck?" "How'd you do that little dude?" said the long-haired blond and the curly-haired blond at the same time.

Harry just blinked at them. He didn't know how he did that either.

That's when the fourth man, a bleach blond with cold blue eyes, spoke.

"It seems we have found a wizard in our midst," he said. "I am David, this is Dwayne, Paul, and Marko. What's your name, little one?"

Harry stared at David and quietly said, "Harry."

"Well Harry, would you like to come into our home? It is more comfortable than the cliffs."

Frightened, Harry nodded too afraid to say no.

David lifted Harry up to carry him into the cave and noticed that he was far too light to be healthy. They should probably feed that child before taking him to see Max the next night. It was too close to sunup to do both.

"Marko, Food."

Said man saluted and left to gather food for themselves and the little guy.

David carried Harry into the cave and carefully set him down on the couch in the middle of the room. After which, Dwayne sat next to the boy and calmly started to converse with him to put the child more at ease.

"Are you okay?"

Harry nodded.

"Why were you sitting alone all the way out here?"

"It's pretty and no one can stare at me and I was abandoned and it's nice," Harry whispered.

"You were abandoned?"

Harry nodded.

"By your parents?"

Harry shook his head, "By my Aunt and Uncle and Cousin."

"How old are you?"

Harry held up five fingers.

That was when Marko came back with Chinese Food. He handed out boxes and gave the white rice to Harry with a fork. Harry just looked at him strangely before hesitantly beginning to eat. When no one reprimanded him for eating, he began eating more confidently.

After a while, Harry became sleepy. Which did not go unnoticed by the others for very long. Dwayne gently lifted him and laid him upon a bed that they kept in the corner. "Sleep, little one. It's okay." And he did.

When the sun set again, Dwayne went to check on their guest. Harry was still sleeping peacefully on the bed. He gently woke the child so that they could go and see Max before he went to work.

"Wake up, little one. We need to go see someone who can help."

Harry groggily agreed. These people were so nice to him, maybe they would keep him, and he wouldn't be alone anymore.

Once Harry was awake, Dwayne carried him out of the cave and towards his motorcycle followed by David, Paul, and Marko. They got onto their motorcycles with Harry on the back of Dwayne's and they were off towards the beach house that Max owns.

Arriving at the house, the boys and Harry walked up the path to the front door and David knocked. The door was answered by a nerdy looking man with glasses. He had short brown hair and kind brown eyes.

The man sighed. "Why are you here, David?"

"We found a little wizard over on the cliffs by our cave. I was wondering if you wanted us to bring him into the family. He would make a strong vampire, and I know his magic would be helpful."

"Very well. Come in and I'll see if I can get a goblin over to test him. Maybe you boys would be interested in getting tested now too?"

David rolled his eyes at that but agreed all the same. The boys walked in and sat with Harry on the couch in the living room.

It only took Max a total of fifteen minutes to call and get a goblin over with five inheritance tests.

"Five drops of blood," stated the goblin.

Harry was a little scared, so the boys went first.

None of this really surprised the boys except the new lordship connected to their names. It did put young Harry at ease so that he was able to give blood for the inheritance test.

The goblin was shocked. It was the missing Potter Heir. What was he doing in America?

"You have found quite the celebrity from over in England. They call him the Boy-Who-Lived for surviving the killing curse as an infant."

"If he is such a big deal, then why was he abandoned here?" asked David.

"That's the million-dollar question," said Max. "But if the British wizards are stupid enough to lose him, then I believe we are smart enough to keep him."

Max crouched down to speak with Harry directly. "Would you like to stay with us, little one?"

Harry shyly nodded.

"Then it is decided. I will call Maria to cover for me at the video store tonight so that I can explain to Harry what we are and give him my blood."
