The four cadets all found themselves back in their room following their training that day. The normal rounds of being told they were nothing more than soldiers meant for war, they were products created by the long necked creatures to surround them every day, the very same beings to have created them, clothed and fed them. Yet that day was slightly different. When the other regular cadets had been sent back to the barracks, Nala Se had pulled each aside separately to inform them they would no longer be trained with the regular clones, but starting the following day would be trained by a Jedi General. The four cadets could only walk silently back to their barracks, ignoring the jabs others took at them for being different not that it bothered them much any more. The silver haired clone could only scrawl and send a snide comment the way of the tormentors. While his younger brother tapped away at the data-pad he held, as if attempting to discover the identity of the mystery Jedi to continue their training.
Upon entering their barracks, the four went in different directions. CT-9903, being sure to dim the lights once again, finding the brightness was disturbing not only his focus but that of his sharp eyed brother too. The louder and far more hyper of the four bounced of towards his bed, making sure his Lula doll was still where he left it and another cadet hadn't stolen it again. The younger of the four clones, wondered off towards the large table in the center of the room. Being sure to continue on with his search for information on the Jedi, although he assumed it would Shaak Ti training them unaware of the other to have arrived hours before. The silver haired cadet on the other hand, silently made his way over to the seating area by the large window, having grown used to the constant storming weather and rain, although he had since found comfort in it.
"Tech" spoke the one groomed to be the Sargent of the four. His hands soon reaching up to ensure his bandanna was still secured about his forehead, something of a habit now, as it was for Crosshair to silently clean his rifle after every training session. The youngest of the four soon turned slightly, as if to acknowledge his older brother. "Find anything on our new trainer?" asked Hunter, coming to join the youngest at the table, as Crosshair seemed intrigued by the question, clearly wanting answers as much as those he shared the room with. Wrecker on the other hand, loudly announcing he wanted to know about the Jedi too.
"Well I did initially assume it would be Shaak Ti training us further" started Tech, saying what each of them were thinking as he pushed his goggles back to their normal resting place on the bridge of his nose. Continuing to tap away at the data-pad as he attempted to access the restricted information normally denied to the cadets and clones in general. "But it appears she put a request forward for General (Y/L/N) to be re-routed here" announced the youngest of the four, seemingly catching the attention of all his brothers in the room. Each stopping what they were doing, as if to find the answer on who the general was, or if this was the same one they'd heard about from troopers to return from war for a short break.
"The general (Y/L/N)?" questioned Hunter, as if unsure if it was the same one. He'd heard other troops talking of the general, how this one was different from other Jedi, kinder, yet fiercer. The general whom had a soft spot for clones and ensured all remembered they were human, the general who was a friend to the clones, whom made sure they knew each one as individuals rather than a group of numbers. The same general who had become somewhat of a legend among the clones, often the cadets spoke of aspirations to be under the command on that very general, even when the name was never listed. The troops to come back from war always having a story to tell of the general, especially those of the 212th and 501st whom seemed to find themselvesworking close with them.
"Yeah, I've heard of him as well. Who is he?" loudly commented Wrecker, doing as most did and assuming the general in question was male. After all it wasn't very often stories of the female Jedi got around, more often than not, the troopers under the command of them went back to Coruscant rather than Kamino. The tallest of the four soon sat across the table from Hunter, being sure to listen carefully well tightly holding on to his Lula doll as if someone was attempting to take it away from him. Even Crosshair had returned to the table, although still determined to clean his beloved rifle as he listened.
"She" announced Tech as he accessed the file, bringing up a hologram of the beautiful Jedi General. The four cadets finding themselves confused yet also entranced at the same time. The silver haired cadet quickly retrieving a tooth pick from his stash, as if attempting to settle the nerves to erupt in him. "Jedi Knight (Y/N) (Y/L/N), joined the Jedi rather late at the age of eight. Daughter of an unknown Sith Lord and trained by him and Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, achieved the rank of Knight following a solo assignment to Naboo. Known for disobeying direct orders and unorthodox strategies. She appears to be the same one the troopers talk of, although she has no legion of her own. Favored by the Chancellor alongside Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. Although unlike him she has no Padawan to speak of" explained Tech, happily reading off the data-pad, finding her interesting to say the least. "She's nineteen, home world is Dathomir" finished the youngest of the four cadets, seemingly surprised by her young age, even more so when he was well aware others her age would still be at the Padawan rank, all be it in the late stages of the rank.
The four cadets soon looked over the hologram in silence. Noticing her average human appearance. She stood at around 5'7, had a slender frame. She was beautiful despite the noticeable scar down her left eye. Yet she wore black robes and a matching cloak, as if she aimed to blend into the shadows and be forgotten about. On her utility belt was several lightsabers. Two hanging from her left hip, once of which seemed broken, with scorch marks on one end, as if it was a relic of her past or severed as a reminder of something. The other to hang with it, seeming as if it was barely used and instead was a back up saber in case she was in need of it. Yet on her left side hung a duel lightsaber, it being clear that was her main weapon and was often in use during the war. Yet as the four studied her image, they each took notice of her long hair, black in color to match the Kyber crystal to hang around her neck. Silver braids or beads also ran through her hair, as if signalling an unspoken status.
"She's holds the title of Night Princess, although most just call her Princess" added Tech when all had fallen in to silence. Almost as if he was determined to give his brothers a little lesson on who the general training them was and the titles she held. Yet he quickly noticed how each couldn't seem to tear their eyes away from the hologram. Almost as if all of them shared the same curiosity and what could only be described as attraction. Of all the things all clones learnt in their cadet training, dealing with feelings wasn't on one of them. Hence they found it odd yet neither spoke a word on it. "We are scheduled to meet her in the training arena at 0600 hours. After we graduate we'll be under her direct command" finished the youngest of the four cadets, finding himself hopeful each would get along with her. They knew she was different, every clone knew she was different, hence why most hoped to one day serve under her command, yet it appeared the four of them were the only ones would eventually say they got just that.
"Looks like the regs will have another thing to be annoyed about" responded Hunter, knowing they were already the target of torment by their fellow clones, namely because of their noticeable difference. Wrecker was taller and bulkier than others, where as Crosshair was taller and slender. Where as Tech and Hunter were noticeable different with their appearance, although both about the average clone height, Tech was visible different, where as Hunter appeared to be the closest to the regular clones. Yet still different enough where the regs liked to remind him of it. Yet over the cause of the constant banter, the four had named themselves the Bad Batch, using what was created to torment them as their sign of power. They'd all developed tough skin to the regs enabling them to ignore most of it, even the barrage of insults than come from the Bounty Hunters could easily be ignored.
"I should image by tomorrow most of them will already know. The last Jedi to visit here besides Shaak Ti was General Kenobi and Yoda. She'll surely be noticed. Plus the younger cadets are go on about seeing another Jedi walking through the barracks" announced Tech, quickly guessing they mostly likely thought it was a standard check up, or the young Jedi Knight would be doing some sort of guest training for a day or so. Maybe even taking them aboard a Jedi Cruiser. All of them completely unaware she was there to train and eventually take the four in the room to the battlefield.
