Bye bye! Here it is my Young Prince's Adventure-story new chapter. See you in the next chapter.
Adrien walked through the forest looking around curiously, because after last night's storm some things looked a little different now, than before.
Of the present, because of the sunny weather it was really difficult now,and almost impossible to believe it,that last night had happened this fall, the first autumn-storm.
"Mom, why that one the tree is not standing now, like other trees? It was up yesterday, when we went home," Adrien said seeing one, a tree that has fallen to the ground, when they had arrived far from home.
"Last night the storm must have felled that tree, when I fell asleep. Before I fell asleep, that storm was getting really windy," Rose said looking at the roots of the fallen tree. "And that tree was already very old, and it had termites, so it was only a matter of time, that when will that tree really fall."
"Termites? What are they?" Adrien asked walking forward with his mother.
"Well Adrien, you've already seen ants, right?" Rose asked.
"Yes, but how are those ants related to termites?" Adrien asked.
"Termites look a bit like ants, but termites eat wood," Rose said.
"Really?" Adrien asked.
"Yes Adrien. Morning, Robyn," Rose said stopping in front of Robyn's home while, when Robyn pushed the tree leaves out of Robyn's home.
"Morning Rose, and Adrien. The wind was so strong last night, that a lot of tree leaves flew to my home, because of the wind. It takes some time to clean them, but my siblings, and brothers help me clean, when mother, and dad were looking for food," Robyn said.
"I see. See you again, Robyn," Rose said walking forward with Adrien.
"Hey, Robyn," Adrien said.
"Goodbye," Robyn said, continuing with her siblings to clean their home.
"Mom, what happens to the fallen trees?" Adrien asked walking forward behind his mother.
"Those trees decay with time, and then they become mulch. In some situations, beavers build dams from fallen trees, unless the beavers cut down the trees themselves to make dams out of those trees, because beavers sharpen their hamapita when they cut down trees," Rose said.
"What are beavers?" Adrien asked.
"A tree falls!" Someone shouted from afar, and then the one on the left, a big tree fell to the ground.
"Follow me, Adrien" Rose walked with Adrien to the river, from which the recent cry had come.
Adrien looked at his mother curiously, but then followed his mother.
Arriving with Rose at the river, Adrien saw brown, big teeth, and big-tailed animals gnawing with their teeth on freshly felled wood, and assembling a wooden dam in the river from some trees, which was about the same size, like Adrien.
"Those animals are beavers, which I told you just now, Adrien," Rose said looking at the beavers, when Rose, and Adrien had stopped at the river bank.
"Morning, Rose!" The old beaver screamed, when he saw Rose. "Apparently you even brought the little prince to watch us work."
"Yes, Klaus," Rose said. "You beavers are, clearly worked hard to get that dam done right."
"Yes. Well, little prince, what do you think of the dam, that we have done?" Klaus asked.
"It's really big. But why are you making dams?" Adrien asked.
"Well, our the dams built by the beavers are the homes of our beavers, and if ever there's another storm, like last night, and if that storm raises the water level of the river, so the dam slows that water down to carefully travel down the river," Klaus said.
"Really? You've seen a lot of storms?" Adrien asked.
"Yes we are, and we have met animals from all over the forest, because our forest is much bigger, than you can even imagine," Klaus said.
"Good morning, little prince, "The pouch rat mother said hanging with her puppies on their tails upside down on the branch of a tree, and then looked at her puppies.
"Morning, little prince," The pouch rat's children they said.
"Morning," Adrien said looking at the pouch rat curiously. "No you dizzy at all, when you're hanging upside down from tree's branches?"
"At our house with possums has unusual behavior, but hanging on the tail for long periods of time, or sleeping in one's tails is not something, what we really do. It is a common misconception that, and it goes on," The pouch rat mother said.
Adrien looked at the pouch rat curiously.
"Adrien, our forest is much bigger, than you can even imagine. Not all the animals living in our forest have necessarily even visited all the places in our forest yet. However, I am sure, that your father knows our forest very well," Rose told her son.
"My father sounds unbelievable from a deer!" Adrien thought a little depressingly, as his ears drooped slightly. "Will I ever be the same, like my father?"
"What's wrong, Adrien?" Rose asked seeing her son's dejected expression.
"Nothing. I was just thinking, that do i have a chance to be one day similar, like my father," Adrien said.
"I'm sure, that it is so, when you are ready for it. But don't rush too much into the future, and try to enjoy the present as well," Rose said.
"Okay," Adrien said as he started to follow his mother with a smile, when his ears were rising up, after he perked up.
"Walk cautiously, for our forest may have changed somewhat since last night's storm," Rose said to her son.
"Yes mom," Adrien said, though he still didn't fully understand, that what her mother had just said, for except for a few fallen trees the forest looked exactly the same, than before.
"Mum, this is a really beautiful day, so there is really hard to believe, that there was an autumn-storm last night," Adrien said.
"I know, Adrien. Still, you should be careful, when walking in the woods after a storm," Rose said
