Crosshair sat quietly on his cot, the shared room quiet, as if they found it hard to believe they had finally graduated the training academy. The four of them had graduated to troopers, soon enough they would be sent to the battlefield, they would experience the harsh reality of war. Yet as the silver haired sharper shooter become lost in thoughts, he knew he wouldn't miss Kamino when he left, often times he told himself nothing could be worse than the things he and his brothers were put through, at least before (Y/N) had arrived. She was kind to them, a welcome gentleness each of them had been starved of before hand. When she had arrived all the normal tests and training that bordered on torture had stopped. They had learnt quickly under her, as if she understood them. Not to mention she had found out what they'd gone through before, being horrified yet, Tech had found out about her own fear of med bays, although hadn't discovered the reason for such.
"When do we deploy" Hunter's smokey voice broke the train of thoughts, Crosshair had found himself lost in. The future Sargent sitting on his own cot, as if he had been thinking over things too. The two of them had a made a deal with each other. If they survived their first battle, not only would the four of them head off to 79's when on Coruscant. But the two of them, just Hunter and Crosshair would get a tattoo of some sort. Thrust embracing their difference and the words (Y/N) had spoken to them.
"We transfer to the military base on Coruscant tomorrow. We should receive orders from there" announced Tech, noticing Wrecker was once again weight lifting, the heaviest item he could find in the room, short of his brothers. Although it was likely he'd learnt not to do that again. Crosshair soon placed a toothpick between his teeth, the need to settle his nerves overwhelming him, yet it wasn't because of facing war, instead it was the thoughts to have run rampantthrough his mind in the quiet waking moments and to haunt his deepest dreams. (Y/N) had burnt herself into his memory, although he wouldn't complain of that, it was how she made him feel, how his body reacted to her, that scared him.
"Hanger fifteen minutes" came (Y/N) voice through the door as she passed it. Hunter could hear the concern in her voice, which only meant she had been given some sort of assignment, something that clearly involved them. The four of them quickly dropped what they were doing, quickly putting their armor on over their blacks before heading to the armory. They knew what weapons and supply's to collect, (Y/N) had run them through it and gotten them down to a fast time. Yet somehow each of them knew this wasn't a drill, it was reality, their reality. Upon ensuring they all had their things, they left their barracks, yet no wonder hit either of them on whether they'd see them again. The other cadets yet to graduate looked to them, almost in jealously they were being deployed so soon after graduating where as others, often find themselves on outpost orwaiting to be deployed to a regiment.
"What's our orders General" spoke Hunter upon meeting her in the hanger. Wrecker and Crosshair on the supply duty, retrieving everything they had been trained to get, from extra ammo, to back up weapons and explosives, as well as droid poppers. Tech at Hunter's side, his personalized helmet under his left arm and a data-pad in his right hand. Almost as if it hadn't hit him yet, this wasn't a drill, they were about to have their first flirt with the unforgivable war and the jaws ofdeath.
"We're being deployed to Christophsis. Generals Skywalker and Kenobi are in a sticky situation" answered (Y/N), being honest, the ship behind her, being the one sheused several times before. It was herown one, something shewas allhappy to share until their own one was complete or could be retrieved from Coruscant's military base. "We're taking the Ghost Marauder" she added, motioning towards the ship behind her, she was proud of it, although not a Jedi or military standard one, it had allowed her to get behind enemy lines with ease, she knew it would serve them well when it come to helping in this assignment as well.
Tech wasted little time, climbing aboard, quickly recognizing the type of ship it was, yet he didn't touch anything, instead looking around. Hunter following along moments later, where as (Y/N), waited for the missing pair to arrive, although she didn't have to wait too long. Wrecker pushed the trolley, with Crosshair at his side, the pair seemingly teasing each other over something. Without a single word said, the weapon supplies were taken aboard, shortly followed by Crosshair and (Y/N), each mentally prepared for what was to come. After all Christophsishad seen a lot of battles since the war began, often being the rope in the tug of war between the Separatists and the Republic. Those on the ship fell into silence as (Y/N) effortless piloted the ship, yet she allowed the four to explore the ship they'd be stuck on for a while, finding several different areas.
The medium sized Corellian ship, had a large round area for sleeping, seven beds, four at normal height, two of which had a ladder to the bunk above. Another area as a common area. Several storage areas and at least two refreshers. Gun ports at both the front and back of the ship, a place for cargo to be loaded and unloaded. As well as places for passengers to sit if not in the cockpit. It being clear to the four troopers, the ship was (Y/N) personal one, she knew it so well, no other clone trooper had set foot on it. The four felt almost proud to be the first outside those in the Jedi order to be aboard, yet they each wondered how long it would last.
"Crosshair yet yah butt in here" called (Y/N), knowing the silver haired sharp shooter, still needed a little more training when it come to flying. Although he was capable, he wasn't confident in his skills. She knew it would take a few hours to get to their destination, so took totraining them a little more tohelp with something they were unsure of. "You're flying" she added when he arrived in the cockpit, followed by Hunter, whom seemed to know strategywas the key, especially for what they were likely to walk into.
"I'm not sure that's a good idea Mesh'la" calmly responded Crosshair, taking the co-pilot seat no the less. "What will the others be doing?" asked the sharp shooter, seeing she wouldn't budge on the decision to home in on his flying skills. it was clear to her, he suspected she would be helping each with something they lacked confidence in. His suspicions were soon proven right upon her reaching for the data-pad just in front of her on the dashboard. Something she intended on giving to Wrecker so he could brush upon his hand signals, especially when she'd notice he struggled with them.
"Wrecker" called (Y/N), handing over the data-pad, seeing how his face fell slight to see he would memorizing something considered boring. Yet none the less he took the seat across from Hunter, hoping the Sargent would help him. (Y/N)'s attention soon returned to Crosshair, soft advice slipping through her lips as she began to boost his confidence in flying, at least until she was sure he had gained enough to handle her ship on his own, at least for the time being. "Tech, front gun hold" added the Jedi General after a few quiet minutes, knowing the youngest of the four needed a little extra time with the ship guns. "Hunter, basic medical training" added the general before joining Tech below in the frontgun port, sliding down under the control panel to have been in front of her.
By the time they small group arrived to their destination. Each was a little more confident in the skill their General had decided to focus on. (Y/N) landed the ship with both Crosshair and Hunter, manning the guns, especially as droid ships had spotted the unknown civvi ship entering the airspace. Plus it helped when clearing a space for landing. As to be expected both Obi-Wan and Anakin were expecting back up, however were slightly surprised not only to see (Y/N) but also her small unit. The same unit she was clearly proud of and had confidence in. Yet none the less, both Obi-Wan and Anakin looked to each other, as if unsure and clearly none the wiser of the four status as an experimental unit.
"Obi-Wan, Anakin" (Y/N) spoke as if greeting old friends rather than on the battlefield, it being clear neither bothered her as much as it would any normal Jedi, war and judgement was something she'd grown used to, to her they come hand in hand. "This is Clone Force 99. You've got Sargent Hunter, Crosshair, Tech and Wrecker. They're all you need to solve this problem" she added with confidence, showing she was so sure they could handle the job put before them despite it being their first time on a war zone outside of Kamino. Both Anakin and Obi-Wan nodded to each, suspecting the newest unit would already know something about them, after all it was something to be instilled into each and every clone.
With little hesitation, Obi-Wan gave a run down of the situation at hand. Anakin noticing the smirk to appear on (Y/N) lips, although didn't interrupt to say anything, he knew her too well, they'd grown up together after all and she was his best friend. One of the few to know of his marriage and love for Senator Padme Amidala. A strategy was soon devised, although back ups were created in case anything went array, as it had been known to happen on countless occasions before.
"Bad Batch. Plan 75. Bring the reign" calmly spoke (Y/N), seeing the original plan wasn't going to work out. Since Cody had placed the five of you up high, much to Wrecker's horror. She took advantage of it, putting one of the many strategies she and Hunter had come with into use. She heard each response with confirmation they had heard the order, Crosshair even responding with a snide comment regarding the regs, before firing his sniper taking out several droids with little effort. Tech tossed droid poppers into the field with co-ordinates for the sniper, who easily hit his mark.
"Is it over already" commented Wrecker upon noticing what remained of the droid battalion scattered across the empty street. "Yes. Wrecker its over for now. The second wave is on route. What yah say to being up close and personal this time" responded (Y/N) through the com-link. She watched with amusement as the four made their way down, clearly wanting to show off their individual skills on the battlefield. Something they knew their general had little doubts about. Only now did they notice how the regular clones looked them over, noticing not only were they different but so was the armor they wore. Yet not one of them uttered a single word.
"Orders general?" spoke Tech, using the things added on to his armor to his advantage, detecting the second wave was close, as confirmed by Crosshair with a simple nod. (Y/N) wasted little time with the orders on the battlefield, being sure to think of something where the risk of injury or death would be minimized. Even when she knew that would be difficult when they were near enough surrounded by the droids, although only B1 Battle Droids they were being lead by at least one tactical droid. Plus there was always the risk there was far worse reinforcements waiting as another wave.
"Crosshair, snipers nest. Wrecker explosives, Tech droid poppers. Hunter you're with me. Let welcome our guests" responded (Y/N), giving out the orders as if this was a normal trip to the mall rather than a war zone. Each nodded before making their way to their respected positions, all the white Anakin, Obi-Wan and the regs attempted to come up with something, Rex noticing shehad disappeared again could only chuckle although not alerting his general, neither did Fives or Jesse as they made comments regarding it. Echo also stating (Y/N) was far worse than Fives and Hardcase when going off topic with something else.
"Er I don't think that will be necessary General" spoke Rex finally giving in and informing the remaining two generals, their plan would be useless, after (Y/N) and her small unit had taken care of the majority of the threat in the time they had been disagreeing with the strategy to use. "General (Y/L/N)'s strategy seems to be working better" added the Captain re-directing the attention the way of the third general, most troops already watching the show of sorts, waiting for permission to join the fun. Anakin could only look over to Obi-Wan, recalling the amount of times sheignored orders if sheseen a better way. Both knew (Y/N) wasn't one to sit idly by and do nothing when something could be done about it. Her actions clearly showing she wasn't about to wait around for them to decide what to do.
"Told you she was the perfect back up" spoke Anakin as he gave the order for those of the 501st to join the fight. Although he wouldn't admit it, he was surprised by the efficiency of the small unit (Y/N) lead. It being clear she had trained them well and to think on their feet rather than rely on orders. Yet he could also see, they were a perfect match for the unorthodox Jedi knight known to many as the Princess.
