At Class…

Akeno was feeling deep dread.

Her former allies, superiors, and anyone linked to the scandal that is going on are at risk of an execution by the Beast Folk for their crimes and the Merfolk could be decimated. They know everything, they know what her former lord is and their involvement and they would have killed Nagasumi, the true Heir to House Michishio. It didn't matter that they didn't know about his lineage, they attacked a future mountain king which meant that they could be killed, or even start a war where the Merfolk could be extinct. The worst thing about it was she played a part in this, what happens next is her fault. She would be responsible for the deaths of all-.

"Akeno, are you okay?" Nagasumi asked, Akeno feeling like Sun at this moment when she first met the sweet-hearted boy.

Should she tell him what's going on?

Does she have the right to?

Looks like she didn't have to.

"Nagasumi, may I speak to you, alone?" Masa requested from the boy, who was star-struck by him.

"Oh, Hi Masa. Sure." He swooned as the boy followed him.

Akeno knows what her brother was doing. If he could tell Nagasumi about the crisis that was coming, he being the heir and beloved member of House Michishio might have a chance of convincing them to stop the possible execution. But should he? After all, they were responsible for the crime, she betrayed her friends, her former companions almost killed Nagasumi, and her former superior gave the orders to the lord. They forfeit their lives for status and so will not have a life soon.

On top of the roof…

"What?" Nagasumi gasped at what Masa explained.

"The Beast Folk are out for blood for what Yoshiuo Minamoto did, for the attempted murder of a Beast Folk, a Mountain King in the making, they wish for the Merfolk to sacrifice him and any of his associates, including Akeno…"

At the Palace…

The former Lord Yoshiuo Minamoto, who once served underneath him on his mission, was forced to kneel before his sister.

"Sister, please! You can't do this! I didn't know that he was-!"

"SILENCE! Your childish antics and dark desires have put us all in danger! The Beast Folk has cause to slaughter all of us, and it's all because of you!" The empress sneered at the boy while she rose from her throne while her guards assisted in his transfer, "Be grateful, for your sacrifice and the sacrifice of your conspirators will ensure the survival of our kind."

"NOO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NOO!"

At the Mothership…

"You can't be serious…"

Jupiter, the examiner, Maki Yuuri, and anyone who served Yoshiuo were handcuffed.

"Dead serious. You leave us no choice." Fanshī Pāru answered in a serious tone, "The Beast Folk will kill us all unless we give them to you. Your lives belong to them."

On top of the roof…

"Anyone who served in that mission is being rounded up, in hopes your aunt and other Mountain Kings will be satisfied enough to let the rest of us live." Masa informed with dread in his voice, "Akeno will be killed with them unless something is done."

"My aunt and the others can't do this, especially for me. Akeno, Jupiter, and Yuuri don't deserve to die because of that rich asshole." Nagasumi declared while Mr. F. Webb appeared.

"It may not be your call, young master. When that fishy lord attempted to kill you, it was not just an affront to you, or to the house but all Beast Folk. Your friend might be doomed." Mr. F. Webb informed him while he rested on his shoulder.

"There has to be something I could do. Come on, Mr. Webb!" Nagasumi pleaded while the spider contemplated.

"…I can look into our laws and code and see if I can gander a loophole. I will even speak with your aunt and inform her of your displeasure of such a scenario."

"Thanks, Mr. Webb."

"I'll do what I can, but I can make no promises. Not everyone can be saved or deserve to be."

"Akeno does, though."

"..."

The spider then crawled away to complete his task.
