"Execute Order 66". (Y/N) could remember feeling the disturbance before she even heard those words. The very same words that branded her brethrenas traitors of the Republic, that ordered their immediate execution for a treason they hadn't even committed. Yet the moment those words rung through her ears she knew they would either haunt her through everything or would end up being the last thing she heard.
(Y/N) had been sent with her small team as reinforcements for Master Depa Billada and her Padawan Caleb Dume on Kaller. By any standard it was a normal assignment, something none of them were any stranger too. With the addition of Echo, the team was more effective at their job, Echo often helping in anyway he could, even making strategies with Hunter. His determination to prove himself worthy of the team clear, even when all had essentially accepted him as a brother. (Y/N) had accepted him quickly, with little thought, especially when she knew what torture would await the Arc Trooper if he didn't find somewhere to go.
What should have been a normal and somewhat easy mission had quickly turned to a fight for survival. With the short three worded order, the clones of 341st effortless and mindlessly turned on their commanding Jedi. Grey had quickly fired on Depa Billada, other troops joining in as she called for her Padawan to run. (Y/N) had stopped running the moment she had sensed the disturbance, a hand over her chest as she felt the pain, yet her focus had been drawn to what was happening the opposite side of the galaxy, having felt Anakin's pain and turmoil, even his confusion and guilt over something. She had only been brought back to the present by the other troopers firing at her. Hunter had instantly put himself between his general and the oncoming troops, deep down he hoped she would follow in the Padawan's footsteps and run. Something she did upon sensing how dire the situation truly was. All her fears, all the suspicions and Fives accusations being proven right.
"Hide" called (Y/N), at least giving the young Caleb Dume reassurance he wasn't completely alone. She felt tears prick the corner of her eyes, feeling the pain of clones as they fought against something for control. Feeling the split second betrayal of her fellow Jedi, before they were killed one by one across the galaxy. (Y/N) could admit she was afraid, yet she put her focus on the young Padawan just as terrified at her, as she put her faith in her small team as she had always done. She trusted they wouldn't let her down, or would figure out what was going on. She had hope they wouldn't betray her. She soon separated from Caleb, being sure those who were following would have to split up in order to catch them both. Deep down she hoped they would follow her, allowing Caleb time to escape, allowing him to live. Yet she couldn't deny the way the troops fired at her was different from how they had done with Depa Billada. As if their orders had been different for her.
Elsewhere on the snow hills, (Y/N)'s small team stood, confused and unsure. Tech explaining only one order was being repeated over the clone comm channels. Execute Order 66. Hunter soon gave out the orders, Tech and Echo were to find out what had happened with the regs, Wrecker was to stall anyone who went looking for the two whom had ran, where as himself and Crosshair were to go after them. Upon separating from the others, Hunter used his skills to track where the Padawan had gone, quickly noticing when Crosshair had veered offin the opposite direction, although he put that down to splitting off to find (Y/N). The Sargent quickly found the terrified Padawan, allowing him to escape as proof he wasn't going to hurt him, as proof he wasn't the enemy or had any intention of following through with the galactic wide order. As soon as Hunter was sure the scared Padawan had escaped or was at least out of harms way, he double backed on himself, determined to find where Crosshair had gone, determined to find (Y/N), his trusted General and friend before the regular clones did.
He soon found Crosshair, his back turned to the Sargent, yet in front of him stood (Y/N), her back against the rocky cliff side. Her lightsaber still attached to her utility belt as she held her hands up, as if she was surrendering. Her black hair blew in the breeze as Crosshair stood thereseemingly unsure of himself, as his rifle was pointed at her. Yet he seemed to be resisting the urge to fire it, despite the order calling for him to do so. Hunter soon looked to (Y/N), seeing the fear previously present had been dulled, instead sadness shone in its place, as if she could see something others couldn't. As if she could see right into Crosshair's soul and see his internal fight, his fight on whether to follow the order given or let her go. Yet before Hunter could utter a single word, Crosshair fire, yet to the surprise of himself and Hunter, it had been a stun blast. Knocking (Y/N) out. Although Crosshair had refused to remove his helmet, it was clear to Hunter, something was wrong with his younger brother.
"The Emperor wants her alive" whisperedCrosshair, as he knelt down besides (Y/N), his hands finding their way to her utility belt, unlatching her lightsabers, if only for precaution. He carefully placed them in his pack before, gently hoisting her unconscious body up and over his shoulder. Ignoring the look Hunter gave him, as if already knowing what his older brother would say before he even mutter the words. The duo soon made their way back to their ship, Echo, Tech and Wrecker waiting for them, all three just as confused about what had happened, yet just as relieved to see (Y/N) was alive all be it unconscious. Tech in particular noticing the gentleness the silver haired sharpshooter bestowed upon her, as if determined she would remain unharmed despite everything to have conspired. He knew their flight would take them back to Kamino, yet he found himself worrying for the overall fate (Y/N) would face. He wondered why she was wanted alive. Although his thoughts didn't help with the knot building in his stomach. He could think of several scenarios, neither of which would be desirable for the young Jedi Knight.
"What does the Emperor want with her?" questioned Echo, summing up the courage to ask as they left Kaller. He took notice when Crosshair gently placed (Y/N) on one of the sleeping racks, just as he could only offer a small grin when the sharp shooter, moved some of her hair from her face. Before returning one her lightsabers to her, as if intending on giving her a fighting chance for whatever fate awaited her when they landed. Echo hoped she wasn't going to be used as an some example for the Jedi whom got away and survived, yet he was also finding himself hoping she wouldn't be forced to do anything else against her will. The longer he thought about it the faster the former Arc Trooper began to realize she would be in a difficult situation. She was Jedi Knight, apart of the same regime that had just been accused of treason and sentenced to death by the former Chancellor. Surely her choices would be slim, yet it was also becoming increasingly clear something else had been planned for her. He knew (Y/N) was essentially trapped between a rock and a hard place.
"We wont be handing her over without a good reason to. She's our general" stated Hunter, finding himself with a strong need to protect her. He knew she wasn't a damsel in distress by any means, yet she was helpless at that moment. The Jedi Order had been destroyed, the republic was up in the air and no one knows what's truly going on. Right now (Y/N) was all they really had, she was their main priority even if she was none the wiser about it.
"Princess" corrected Crosshair, as if something inside him was yelling at him, her rightful title was princess. "Her correct title is Princess" added the sharp shooter, unsure where his words were coming from. He knew (Y/N) hated being called by the royal title even if it was in an affectionate way. He knew she didn't really understand why so many insisted on calling her by it. His attention soon turned back to (Y/N), finding the voice repeating Good Soldiers Follow Orders in his head, was muffled when around her, finding the growing headache seemed to numb when near her. As if she offered something others could neither see nor understand. Almost instantly he wondered if his love for her, was winning in an internal battle only she had seemed to have noticed. Deep down he questioned what he was doing, why he even believed the Jedi deserved to be killed, he knew not all were bad. Not all deserved to be slapped with the label traitor and executed. Some where good. Some had cared for the clones and fought to protect them even on the battlefield. (Y/N) was one of them, she had instantly sent them along to rescue Echo, allowed him to join her small unit, by doing so saved him from a worse fate. She had listened when any trooper needed it, cared for those who were injured. She had shown love and treated the clones as people rather than property. As other Jedi had done over the years since the war started.
"We may not be given a choice Hunter" announced Tech, referring to his Sargent's earlier statement. Echo looked between them, showing his refusal to even consider the idea of handing the young Jedi Knight over, especially without knowing what would happen to her. She was a friend, one of his rescuers, someone to have accepted him as he was now and helped him to accept who he was. He wasn't about to willingly hand her over if that meant she'd be executed in a different way to rest, he would rather go down fighting for her than stand aside and do nothing. Yet as Echo looked over to Crosshair again, he could see something slightly different with the sniper, how he attempted to fight something but was also choosing (Y/N) over what was happening to him. Almost instantly the former Arc Trooper knew he would stand with Crosshair when he decided to fight for the young Jedi Knight.
"There's always a choice" responded Echo, his golden eyes, dark with seriousness. In truth he didn't know what was going on, he didn't understand why their brothers had so heartlessly turned on and killed their Jedi superiors. But he wasn't about to give up the one person who had fought for all of them. Not without a fight. "We don't know what they want with her, but considering what happened with the other Jedi, I'm willing to bet it isn't good. I won't just hand her over like she's means nothing to any of us. She fought for us, she trained all of you and rescued me. If there's a chance to save her now. Then I'm willing to take it" announced Echo, being forward with his brothers and letting them know where he stands, even if that meant sharing her fate.
The rest of the journey was spent in silence. Only being broken by the casual beeps and noises of the ships control panel and the minor discussion going on between Wrecker and Tech. Hunter had sat in silence for the majority of the silent ride, twirling his vibroblade between his fingers, seemingly lost in thought. Where as Crosshair found a place on the seats near (Y/N), continuing on with his normal ritual of cleaning his rifle, being sure every inch was spotless, although his eyes would wonder to (Y/N) every now and again. Echo on the other hand acted as a protector for the unconscious Jedi, like Crosshair almost drowning in his thoughts. Both wanted to protect her, but also knew they couldn't do anything without the immediate suspicion being on them. Upon the ship landing on Kamino, Crosshair gently carried (Y/N) from the ship, almost surprised to see Shock Troopers there, walking along as if it was normal for them to be there. One stopped in front of them, answering the question Wrecker had asked but also taking noticed of the Jedi, Crosshair held bridal style in his arms.
"Take the Princess to the Med Bay" commanded the Shock Trooper before moving on, picking up the lightsaber the dead Jedi to have been carried past on the stretcher had dropped. Hunter wanted to deny the command, but could sense something was off. He knew (Y/N) didn't like Med Bays or any medical facility. She feared them, although it was something she didn't speak about, it was clear whatever had caused that fear, had scarred her. To the point she would much rather suffer from injuries than take a trip to a med bay. Almost instantly Hunter could see Crosshair's reluctance to comply with command given, again he appeared as if he was fighting some kind of battle no other could physically see. Yet at the same time Hunter began to notice how the Shock Trooper had recognized (Y/N) as Princess rather than a Jedi Knight, something Tech and Echo had noticed too. Yet in the same instant, all of them wanted answers on on what was going on. Almost instantly they found themselves actually wanting to attend the announcement by the Chancellor regarding the end of the war they had all be created for.
