Mo Ran, with a large grin looks down at his beloved, having come around to sit on his lap as they ride home. Wanning is focus on a book in his hand. One hand on the reigns while the other is wrap around Wanning waist. Pulling the other closer.

Wanning ears a very pretty pink.

"What are you reading?" Mo Ran wonders, finally deciding to ask.

Wanning looks up, taking a second to look at Mo Ran, then look back at the book. "A medical book. I've been thinking about upgrading my Knights Guardians." Wanning answers.

Mo Ran smiles. His Wanning is always so kind. "How do you plan to upgrade it?" He wonders.

He listens, eyes face forward, as Wanning talks about his plans. His smile growing wide, and amazed. Only in lectures has he ever heard Wanning talk so long. There doesn't seem to be anything Mo Ran dislikes about Wanning. It should be scary about this discovery but Mo Ran finds he's not. What it does is solidify how wrong he was about his own feelings.

After enough talking the two continue the ride in silence. After a while Mo Ran feels a thump on his chest. Taking a look down he finds Wanning resting his head on Mo Ran chest. The younger tilts to get a look. He finds the older sleeping. He takes the book, putting it in his robes so it doesn't fall. He wraps his hand more around Wanning. Letting the other sleep against him.

Mo Ran is so happy to think about anything other than the one in his arms. Enjoying their time together. Even if the other is asleep.

Wanning is finally in his arms.

After everything that's happen he never thought he would get this chance. He just couldn't handle Wanning getting hurt again. Protecting him again. Once again putting himself in danger. He knows it's ironic for him to think that but just because they are cultivators doesn't mean he should jump into danger every chance he gets.

He may need to talk to that with Wanning, along with other things he knows Wanning feels. The questions is would Wanning listen?

Mo Ran smiles as he watch Wanning stomp up the steps. Embarrassed about taking a nap. Face red, face scrunch in a pretty frown.

Mo Ran had sat idle at the bottom of the stairs, the stable boy waiting patiently. Mo Ran didn't want to wake up his lover. Why would he? Wanning is to cute, curling against Mo Ran chest to get comfortable. Rubbing his check against Mo Ran. Each time his heart sore. All things must come to end as Wanning wakes up disoriented and confused. Looking up to Mo Ran smiling down at him. With a look around Wanning pieces together what happened.

"Wanning, baobei... did you have a good nap?" Mo Ran teases. Wanning pauses, twisting to give a glare to him. Mo Ran only continues to smile.

"Shameless." Wanning says. Mo Ran eyes widen.

"Shame-?" Mo Ran then burst out laughing, Wannings ears burning bright. "All that happen was you sleeping. That was more innocent that what we did... that night." Mo Ran says low. Catching Wanning shiver at the memory.

"Shameless." Wanning mutters this time. Wanning looks away then back at Mo Ran. Face less red and expression serious. "Did... did you mean it?" Wanning asks looking at Mo Ran then away. Then looking again from the corner of his eyes. Mo Ran tilts his head in confusion. "What you... said." Wanning mutters very low Mo Ran would have mistaken it. Realization dawning on his face.

"That I love you?" Mo Ran says to be more clear. Wanning turns his whole body towards Mo Ran, eyes wide and ears still red. Mo Ran smiles. "I mean it. I wouldn't have said it if that weren't the case."

"But... I... do you not love... Shi Mei?" Wanning wonders looking away. Now feeling guilty. Why would he get in the way of that?

"I don'tloveShi Mei. We're just friends. I love you." Mo Ran says clearly. They've had enough misunderstandings to last two lifetimes. And Mo Ran is sick of it.

"I'm... cold."

Mo Ran stares a bit not truly understanding what he means by cold, "then I'll warm you up." Mo Ran tells the other who looks surprised then confused, Wanning sharp eyebrow raising in question. So that's not what he means by cold. He means personality wise. Still Mo Ran adds, "I find you very kind, not cold."

"I'm old."

"You don't look it."

"I'm ugly."

"You are not." Mo Ran says immediately. Wanning is staring at him but hiding his emotion, looking at him with a neutral expression. Mo Ran steps up, getting on the same step as Wanning. "I don't know where this came from but it's not true. It's very much the opposite." Mo Ran steps close to Wanning. Reaching forward he cups Wanning face in his hands, dwarfing his face in his large hands. "I love you." Mo Ran says once again, bringing Wanning face close. Pressing a light kiss to those pink lips. Wanning stare wide eyes at Mo Ran. "I love you and I'll tell you as many times as needed." Mo Ran says seriously. Wanning places his hands on Mo Ran wrists. Loosening his hold on Wanning head Mo Ran watches as the smaller man turns away.

Wanning would like that, really likes that but he doesn't think his heart could take it. "No need." Wanning mutters. "I get it." Wanning looks up at Mo Ran.

Staring at each other. Mo Ran smiling at Wanning, happy his feeling have gotten across. Wanning may not be showing it but he's happy too. Incredibly happy. Mo Ran loves him. It's what he's always wanted.

The two jump a bit, stepping away from each other at the presence that's coming closer. They look up forgetting where they were, to see a figure coming close. Someone is going down the steps. Mo Ran and Wanning step to the side, continue their trek up the stairs.

"Shizun!" The figure shouts loud. Both know who it is. They continue up meeting the man halfway. Xue Meng smiling at Wanning. "Dad is waiting for you. You have a delivery." Xue Meng says causing Wanning to look at him confused. He never ordered anything.

Curious Wanning rushes with Xue Meng and Mo Ran sprinting behind him.

He finds Zhengyong in a room with a large amount if boxes, all elaborate, silks, furniture and many smaller gifts. Wanning pauses staring even more confused. He did not order any of this. It can't possibly be for him.

"Yuheng." Zhengyong calls him happily, letter in hand.

"What is all this?" Wanning asks watching as someone comes in with a box setting it along with the others, adding to the pile. The room is overflowing with things. This looks more like a dowry than a delivery.

"It's yours." Zhengyong says.

"I didn't order all this." Wanning points out, feeling defensive about being accused of ordering this.

"I know." Zhengyong says with a smile and a chuckle. "It's a gift for you. From Si Ge Jiantang city. Here." Zhengyong hands him the letter, Wanning takes it, looking at it with a raised eyebrow. His eyes reading the letter himself. He feels that there's another letter so he flips to the next letter, reading that one.

And true to what Zhengyong has said it's mostly for him. As thanks for helping find the culprits. A thanks for doing the job even after learning it was not in fact a ghost in the end.

"It's not all for me. There's a box or two for everyone. Xue Meng. Mo Ran. Madam Wang and sect leader." Wanning says looking up to him.

"Then let's organize everything. Welcome back you two." Zhengyong says with a beaming smile.

All three look at the room full of gifts. Even if they all get two boxes there is still a room full for Wanning. The people of Si Ge Jiantang city are very thankful and generous.
