Ryloth. The home of the Twi'lek, one of the many planets the clones under the republic had been sent, had helped free the people, only to remain behind when the empire took over. Only to act as an imperial take over force. At first the people had been accepting of it, although that had changed when their senator Orn Free Taa had returned from Coruscant. Almost instantly the people had cried outin support of the known freedom fighter Cham Syndulla and his wife. Admiral Rampart had taken Crosshair and his small elite squad to Ryloth when he had been deployed there, as if they his personal form of protection, despite there already being clones there. The most notable one being Captain Howzer. Someone Crosshair had quickly realized wasn't under the effects of the Inhibitor Chip, or if he was, he had been able to ignore it for the most part.
As normal, Crosshair had spent his quite moments thinking about (Y/N), about where she was now and what it was the Empire wanted from her. He had quickly deduced they would kill her once they had gotten what they wanted, once she had served her purpose. Something he was beginning to realize was the same with him and all clones. The realization of the empire using him, had dawned on him, after Bracca. He'd been in the med-bay to get treatment for his burns, the empire had ordered he get treated for the injuries but never once come to visit him, never once asked how he was doing when he returned to duty or even appeared to care he had been gone at all. Not even his elite unit seemed to care, if anything they seemed disappointed with his return.
Yet since the incident on Bracca, he found himself hating his new black armor. Although the color reminded him of his beloved (Y/N), the helmet didn't do anything to help his burns, instead it often made themworse, often rubbing against the wound until it become unbearable, until it become raw again. The pain killers he'd been given did little to numb anything just as the bacta spray was its own brand of torture, almost like rubbing salt into an open wound. Although he had been relatively peaceful, Crosshair still found himself wanting to leave, to make the much more shorter journey to Naboo to complete his self given mission and find (Y/N), to rescue her from what he could only imagine was a prison.
Rampart had him and his elite team watching out for the ever rebellious ones, almost everyone knew the freedom fighters wouldn't step back easily, not when they clearly suspected the imperial forces weren't going to leave but instead continue to occupy the planet as they have done with all the worlds previous loyal to the separatist movement or deemed to rebellious to be left alone. Crosshair had come across Cham Syndulla's daughter on a few occasions, always being hesitant to do anything about her clearly rebellious behavior, instead he allowed Howzer to handle it, seeing the attachment there, the will to protect. The girl, Hera her name, reminded him of (Y/N) in a way, her determination to get to the bottom of something and help in any way she could, the fight she had, the fire in her eyes to do what was right. All of it reminded of (Y/N), all of it reminded him of what had been taken away from him.
But the moment he realized his brothers were on Ryloth everything seemed to change. The hope he would have felt months prior had vanished, instead he felt dread, fear even. He founding himself doubting whether they were even there to get him or leave him behind again, as they had done already. He understood why they left him on Bracca yet still couldn't find a reason for Kamino. Already he figured they didn't have (Y/N) either, if they did they she wouldn't have wasted time getting to him, she would have infiltrated Kamino or wherever he was to get hold of him, to free him. He knew for sure she'd never willingly leave him behind, just as he wouldn't with her.
The more his thoughts lingered on his brothers, the more he began to realize he didn't recognize them anymore. Although he had kept tabs on them. He knew Omega was trying to find herself, to find her place in the galaxy, yet he also knew his brothers had their inhibitor chips removed, although he found himself doubting whether Echo'sneeded removing, considering it most likely would have been destroyed by the blast on the Citidal mission so long before hand. The more he thought about it, the more he felt more betrayed, they had their free will, but had chosen to leave him, they had chosen not to fight or try and rescue him. The feelings only grew when he recalled giving himself up so they wouldn't be hurt. He felt the betrayal slowly turn to resentment, they had left him and hardly seemed to notice he wasn't there with them, hardly seemed to noticed (Y/N) wasn't there. Where as he had lost everything, them, his right to choose and free will, even (Y/N) had been taken away, thinking makerknows what.
"I'll find you (Y/N)" whispered Crosshair, as he waited in Rampart's office, not bothering to wonder what he'd be assigned to do this time. He'd already shot the senator, something he actually found somewhat helpful, to him the senator was a traitor too. He had betrayed his people to gain power, allowed them to suffer so he could be comfortable. He was allowing the empire to occupy his planet without a care for those he was supposed to represent. Rampart soon entered the room, followed by Howzer, the captain he'd been talking with lately, the captain he could say he a budding friendship with. The two knowing what was to come and deciding to help each other free those they loved and cared for. Crosshair knowing of a clone the Empire had likely forgotten about as the republic had done before.
When it come time for the plan, Howzer had willingly step out alone in front of the clones and members of the elite squad Crosshair lead. Speaking his mind freely and calling out the empire's actions, his disagreement with what they had been commanded to do, willing his fellow brothers to fight against the chips to control them, to fight against the empire whom only seen them as a means to an end. Crosshair himself had found truth to the words, knowing all of it was true, he refused to follow the order to kill Howzer, instead ordering his arrest, sparing him for the sake of everyone both loved.
The moment the sharp shooter realized his brothers were escaping, he fired several shots, yet not to try and shoot them down, but to send a message. A message he hoped Tech would realize. By now Crosshair knew they wouldn't come back for him, he had given up hope of them doing that, so hoped their next step would be (Y/N). His message, the one he knew only Tech could translate, were co-ordinates. Co-ordinates that would lead them to (Y/N)'s location on Naboo, if only so they could rescue her before the Empire got what they wanted and killed her, as they had mercilessly done with the others under the banner of Jedi.
"The imperial prison. Find CT-6922" whispered Crosshair, as he lead Howzer to the transport heading to the now imperial prison all Clones would be sent to for disobeying orders. The clone in question had been there for sometime, since the battle of Umbara, he'd been a rookie of the 501st at the time of his arrest and imprisonment, only being there because he shot and killed the general he served under at the time, General Pong Krell, the same general he had blindly followed the orders of before hand. "Find Dogma. Then go to Dathomir and find (Y/N)'s father. He'll help free her" uttered Crosshair, giving the instructions, he knew if anyone was going to free his beloved then it would be the man whom had little fear of the empire, it would be her father, Maul. After all the former Sith Lord had caused havoc during the war, managing to take over Mandalore and rule it, as well as setting up a crime syndicate, suspicious still around he created another since the Shadow Collective collapsed.
Crosshair found himself suddenly looking to the future. What life would be like away from the empire. (Y/N) at his side. What they would do. For sure they would be hidden, the empire wouldn't let them go without a fight, they'd be hunted, but that was something he knew he could live with and deal with as long as his Jedi Princess was at his side. Almost instantly he suspected Maul would take them in, (Y/N) was his daughter, his only child and someone he had ripped an entire village apart to get back to, he demanded her to be sent to him along with Kenobi upon his return. Maul had stated his reasoning for taking over Mandalore was so his princess had something to inherit and rule over when he stepped down.
The more Crosshair thought about it, the more he would accept his role if he was given one, even if it was as a bounty hunter. His skills could be useful, surely Maul could put them and him to good use. He'd happily do anything as long as he wasn't parted from (Y/N) again. As long as he could stay with her, hold her and whisper to her as he had done during the war. These past few months being away from her had been torment, beyond anything the injuries and his brothers had thrust far caused. Yet he had hope now, Howzer had helped and would hopefully succeed with the plan they both created. To take the fight of freeing their loved ones to the empire, in the only way the empire seemed to understand. Hidden in the shadows and quietly.
