By the time Bonnie and Caroline made it to the Bennett residence Bonnie, was mostly healed, but still exhausted from the intense pain. She lay with her head against the window. She needed the cold glass to cool the fire in her brain.

Caroline looked over at her friend as she shifted the gear to park and turned the car off. Caroline's heart ached at the pain Bonnie was in. Bonnie had been a constant light in Caroline's life. To see how hard things have been for her. It broke Caroline's heart.

"Do you want me to carry you in?" Caroline asked.

"Caroline please keep Sarah safe," Bonnie managed.

Caroline looked wide eyed at her friend, as Bonnie raised her head and looked into her eyes. Caroline knew Bonnie intended to fight Elena alone. She sighed. "Please Bon. Let me go with you. You're already really weak. Or let your mom and Grams go."

"This is the last time she is ever going to hurt me. Or anyone I care about," Bonnie said. The ring of determination in her voice increased Caroline's confidence in her friend.

Caroline hugged Bonnie like she was afraid to let go. Once the tears she was fighting started to break free she let go. Caroline took a water bottle from the cup holder and emptied it. Caroline cut into her wrist and filled the bottle with as much blood as she could spare. Caroline hugged Bonnie tight and close once more got out of the car and retrieved the small toddler.

Bonnie watch Caroline's form retreat into her grandmother's house. She knew there was only a small window to do what she intended. Soon the cavalry would be there to save her.

Bonnie lay in the tub rubbing her stomach. Something was seriously wrong. She had done everything Jo told her to and still the baby was restless. There was way too much pressure on her pelvis. Then it happened… Her water broke.

Bonnie looked down at the blood, filling the tub, from between her legs. Tears burned her eyes as she held, on to the sides of the tub, and braced herself. Bonnie struggled to catch her breath as a strained, scream escaped her mouth.

"Shit, shit, shit," Bonnie repeated as the pain slowly subsided. Bonnie took slow breaths and tried to think of who to call. She phoned Damon knowing he'd be there in no time.

Damon sucked in a sharp breath when he heard Bonnie whimpering through the phone. His stomach dropped and his heart raced. "Where are you," he managed to ask as he stood from his desk. He had to get to her.

"Home," Damon raced off to her before she finished her statement. The fear he felt for her and their child; it was something he'd never felt before, and hoped he'd never experience again.

"I'm the reason were in this mess," Damon thought. He brought this upon himself when he made that fateful deal with the devil. He continuously, managed to find a way to ruin Bonnie's, life. If he was man enough to admit his brother won, he'd never be in this place. Yet, he'd also lose the center of his world, his little girl. Sarah was worth it all. Holding her in his arms for the first time. It changed his world; it now belonged to his little girl.

Damon felt Stefan's eyes studying him. Then he heard him say "Let's break out of here and save your girls."

Damon shook his head "No," he simply replied.

Stefan looked back over at Damon with confusion written all over his face. "No? What do you mean no?"

Damon looked vacantly ahead and grimaced. The more he tried to fix things, the bigger his mess grew. "I did this. Nothing I do will fix it… I don't deserve them."

"You don't, but they're yours. She loves you and she's always loved you, you idiot!" Stefan yelled at his brother. A rage he'd been suppressing for years creeped inside his chest. Damon had no clue how good he had it…has it, Stefan thought.

"Do you honestly think if Bonnie could love someone else she still wouldn't choose to stay in hell with you? She's loved you from the very beginning and it's never changed. Not even after she'd seen how idiotic, immature, and selfish you were. She stood by you after it all. And she is not going anywhere. You know why? Because she doesn't give up. It's not who she is."

Stefan shook his head. "She's always seen something worth redeeming in you. A man worth saving, worth loving. The least you can do, is exert the energy necessary to pretend to be that person so, she doesn't look like a fool."

Damon glared at his brother as Bonnie's words swim in his mind. "I'm not going to spend the rest of my life waiting for you to see what I see in you." Stefan was right. Bonnie wasn't going to give up on him or Sarah. He couldn't just let things fall where they may. She had always been his strength, his courage, his rock. He knew what ever crazy scheme he thought up his little witch would be by his side hell fire and high water.

They were the perfect tag team. She fueled his desires and passions. Without her there would be no point to life. And he could not chance that becoming a reality-ever.

Caroline looked back and waved as Bonnie pulled out of the parking spot. Caroline held Sarah tight as Bonnie disappeared into the horizon. "She's going to be okay," she whispered to her self before she kissed the top of Sarah's head.

Caroline opened the door and looked into the dark home. She felt the electric sting of witch magic, however the smell of Bennett blood was too faint for them to be home at this time. "Who's there?" she demanded.

There was no response. Caroline didn't know what would happen if she walked inside. She looked down at the Sleeping infant in her arms. She couldn't take Sarah into the unknown danger on the other side of the threshold. Caroline gently laid Sarah on the padded, outdoor, loveseat. She looked down to make sure she was secured.

When Caroline walked pass the threshold her skull felt like it was being crushed. She grabbed the side of her head and dropped to her knees. Caroline let out a whimper before she collapsed on her side.

Damon and Tyler pulled in front of Sheila's home at the same time from opposite directions. Damon, was the first one to see Caroline, through the wide open door. He watched in awe as Caroline, attempted to drag her weak body out the door.

Damon, focused his vision and his vampire sight cut threw the darkness. Behind Caroline, stood a man he barely recognized, it had been so long since he'd seen his face. Luka Martin, advanced to the threshold looking down at Caroline, with his arm outstretched before him. He chanted in Latin. Damon, didn't see Bonnie, but Sarah, was laying less then ten feet away.

Damon, race to Sarah, as Tyler raced to Caroline's defense. Damon, heard Tyler, growling and assumed he was in his wolf form. He directed Matt and Stefan to stay put. As he reached Stefan, Abby, pulled up to the house. Out of thin air, people dressed in hooded red robes with gold, braided, tassel belts advanced towards them.

The growing crowd seemed to be closing on the from all sides. Qetsiyah created a U-shaped wall of fire around them. She directed Stefan to carry Sarah over to the car. Abby and Lucy followed Qetsiyah out of the car Stefan quickly got in. Once the door was closed, Sheila sped down the block in reverse. She passed through the wall of fire unscathed, to Stefan's growing relief. That relief was halted when Sheila crashed through the cloaked strangers.

Sheila called Rudy. He answered on the first rang. "Send directions I've secured the asset."

Stefan tried to quiet the rapid pound of his heart in his chest. This was turning into a cluster fuck at the first step. "Buckle her in. The secured location is 4 minutes away," he heard.

Stefan absently did as told. His mind ping-ponging between thoughts of his brother and Bonnie and all the harm he assumed was be falling them.

Rudy grabbed his witches bane and holy water gun. He watched as Giuseppe and Grayson armed themselves as well. The battle had begun outside the Bennett residence. He had a Town to protect, but more important, he had to protect his family. Right now that meant killing one of his closest and dearest friends. Giuseppe gave Rudy clearance and on queue the men fired.

Grayson put his family and the town in harms way when he gave Bonnie's location away. Giuseppe always suspected Grayson was apart of the Shadow Keepers. The disgraceful alchem-purest. Those who believed in the purification of witch blood.

To have a witch procreate with a vampire was an abomination they reportedly refuse to let be. At least, that's what Bill and Richard, got out of Jenna and Miranda, before they killed them. "I always knew I rued the day you were right," Rudy said, as the men walked out of the weapons' lock up, in the Salvatore' basement.

Mason and Zac, were giving the rest of the convoy their orders, and they reeducated them of weak points on vampires, werewolves, and humans. When, Rudy cleared his voice, the room fell silent. "No one in this room underestimate those we set out to destroy. Our town, is a safe haven, a beacon to supernaturals of all kinds. We reclaimed this town, and amended it's dark history. We, created a safe world for our kids to grow out of the shadows. We aren't going back."

Giuseppe led the crowd as they chanted their slogan, "We aren't going back."
