"Disappointed?" Haley James-Scott sadly smiled at Lucas Scott, gingerly sitting on the bed of her hotel room.

"In you? Never. Haley James, you could never disappoint me. You're my best friend and I love you." Lucas Scott sat beside her, grabbing her hand in his.

"I doubt Nathan feels the same way, I really messed up Luke." Haley raked her free hand through her hair.

"Haley, I've messed up too. Don't you remember the whole mess with Brooke and Peyton? I've messed up more than you have, you were just following your dream. Nathan should have understood that, you've always supported him with basketball. I told him not to send you the divorce papers." Lucas sighed.

"Luke, I don't know if I can come back home. I'm too…embarrassed. I don't know if I'll have a home to come back to." Haley bit her lower lip.

"Hales, you'll always have a home with me and mom. You know that. If you and Nate can't work things out, you can start over. We're only sixteen, I know it seems like the end of the world and that you love him but…you can always come home and start again." Lucas sighed, looking into her eyes.

"I know, I just don't want to inconvenience you guys like that." Haley sighed.

"You're not an inconvenience, you never have been. We could leave right now if you wanted to." Lucas says.

"I'm ready to go home, I love singing but…I preferred singing at Karen's. Your life isn't for me, I've seen things that I've never wanted to." Haley sprang up from her spot on the bed, starting to pack her bags.

"There you are, I knew you just needed a little nudge in the right direction. Mom's going to be so happy to see you." Lucas smiled, seeing her Haley Bob energy spring up.

"Me too, I could use a good meal." Haley nods, slinging her suitcase towards the door.

"You know, you could have asked me to grab that and I would have." Lucas fought the urge to laugh.

"I know, I just wanted to be dramatic." Haley shrugged as they left the hotel room. They didn't know what they'd be in for when they got back to Tree Hill but, they knew they would always have each other.
