Chapter 1

(1987 Somewhere outside of Las Vegas, Nevada)

Underneath the empty desert a young teenage woman, with a red hood that covered her face, wearing a black dress, combat boots and black tights that covered her legs, with red trimmings on her clothing, sat in a black chair petting her dog, who was a welsh corgi breed.

"Hello, everyone. Welcome to my underground lair," the young woman says in a neutral tone as she looks out over a table around which multiple men and women of various races and nationalities sit. "You're probably wondering why I gathered you all here, my most deadliest assassins. Well… at least you were… because each failed to kill one woman… Yang Xiao Long. That makes me angry! And when you make Ruby Rose angry, Zwei gets upset! And when Zwei gets upset… People DIE!" Ruby says before pressing a series of buttons on a console in front of her.

As she presses the buttons with the names of the assassins, the chairs that the assassins were sitting on tilt back and as they all fall back into a hole in the floor as they all yelped and screamed in agony as they are burned alive by a torrent of flames.

"Why is it everytime I hire an assassin, they always end up being idiots!" Ruby complained. She looked at her two remaining assassins. James, Weiss Schnee, I'm letting you two live because I need you both to help me rid the world's best Top Secret Agent, the only woman who can stop me now. Before I can carry out my plans of world domination, we must kill Yang Xiao Long!" Ruby says, looking at the two remaining people at the table. The man with purple hair, James, pats his forehead with a handkerchief, fearing that if they aren't successful then he could be the next one to die.

(New York)

A teenage blonde haired woman wearing a pair of yellow shades, a long brown jacket, long brown boots and black pants, walks down the sidewalk with a spring in his step as people gawk at her in amazement. The woman suddenly stops and starts to dance with several men and women joining her. However, they all suddenly stop when a traffic cop walks up to them with a stern look on his face… only for the cop to suddenly start dancing as well, causing even more to start dancing as the woman runs off.

The woman turns a corner and sees several of her fans dressed up in the rockstar outfits she had worn at her concerts. "Yeah, you people got style!" she says, as these fans cheered and some fainted out of excitement.

"It's Yang Xiao Long!" someone shouts at the top of their lungs in an excited tone, causing several other fans to scream as they smile as well and start running at the woman, causing her to run away with the excited fans chasing her.

Yang runs down the street with more and more fans joining the horde, chasing her as she goes. Thinking quickly, she turns a corner and pulls out a newspaper, covering her face and hearing hat style fedora as the horde runs by. After it passes, she steps out only to have to run as the back of the horde turns and sees her, resuming the chase. Running down another street, she takes a seat on the bench, next to some women who have their noses buried in some magazines. She took a woman's fur coat, and put it on to pass herself as a rich sophisticated woman, with the fans running by, not recognizing Yang.

After they pass Yang, she ditches the fur coat and lets out a sigh of relief, only to gulp when next to her were more fans, who put their magazines down and shouted, "It's Yang Xiao Long!" The fan closest to her screams, causing her to get up and run as they soon follow her, with the horde turning around and resuming their chase.

Running down another street, the horde follows her with the trail end of it just turning the corner before stopping as Yang comes speed-walking around the corner, a marching stick in hand as she leads a marching band parade around the corner. Yang suddenly stops and begins to dance again with all the people gathered around the area following her movements. As Yang finishes her dance, a car beeps twice as a red Ferrari comes up with a handsome young man with stylish black hair and wearing sunglasses. Seeing this, Yang makes a break for it and does a handspring over the back of the car before landing in the passenger seat next to the young man.

The young man smiles at this before they drive off. "Enjoying all the spotlight, Yang?"

"Hey, you know it, Mamoru," Yang replied. "It kind of feels good seeing all these young people admiring my sense of fashion. But I got to ask you, as a member of my band, how come you never wear any of the stuff I suggest?"

"You have a good sense of style, but it's a bit too flashy for me," Mamoru told her. "And besides, I prefer not to stand out. After all, you know I'm a married man."

Yang laughed a bit. "Yeah, I forgot about that. Can't blame me for trying. How is Usagi anyway?"

"She's doing fine," Mamoru replied. "And our baby gets big inside her almost everyday."

"I'll bet she is," said Yang. "How about making me the kid's official auntie?"

The two of them are suddenly interrupted by a phone ringing before a panel on the dash of the car flips down to reveal a small television screen that turns on.

"How's it going, Yang and Mamoru," a blonde haired woman said with a smile on the screen.

"Hey, Lucy, what does the secret intelligence have for us this time?" Mamoru asked, as he continued driving.

"We've just received word that Ruby Rose is planning a trap for you tonight at the Ice Palace here in New York," Lucy warned, with a serious look on her face.

"We'll be there," Yang said, being serious about the situation before shutting off the mini-television as Mamoru continues driving the two of them down the road.

(Later that night)

Yang and Mamoru pull up outside of a large building with lots of neon signs on it and a "Big Boy" statue oddly placed in the center of the building. The crowd of people outside the building quickly surrounded the car in excitement as they saw Yang in the car. Yang get out of the car and smiles at her fans and does her famous rockstar pose before Mamoru gets out and joins her before they walk inside the club.

As they two walk through the doors, which were designed to look like ice, they see a full-blow party underway, complete with music and people dancing everywhere.

"Got to admit, this place does have style to it," Mamoru said to Yang.

"That's why I come here almost all the time," Yang said with excitement. "What better way than to forget your troubles than with a couple of drinks and getting your groove on."

Either way, Yang and Mamoru knew they had to keep their eyes peeled since this wasn't just about partying. They were being watched.
