sword dragon and the phoenix -chapter 19 – battle of the Kyoto
this will cover episodes 4-6 of dxd hero
I will replace most instants of Rossweisse with Halsin for the next part of the story
I will give Hakufu more to do as well
I will cover the rest of the Kyoto arc in this chapter as well as set up the next part of the other story in this saga
Shirou pov
Out of the mist came a man with spiky maroon hair that looked us over and said "so Hakufu you broke out of that shitty cycle as well. but the one that nearly killed you joined my side come out Ukitsu you have got another chance to kill her. then a dark-skinned girl with." then out of the mist came a girl with tanned skin and dark hair that looked like a raging beast. The man said to us "I am Sousou, and I gifted this girl with the tail of Daji or Tamamo as you know her." that made our fox girl ally looked in fear. Then asked, "did you take my mother?" he replied, "not only did we take her but we gifted her with the blessings of Daji as well."
After that he unleashed a sacred gear called annihilation maker and formed monsters to kill us. but we soon figured out how to face the created monsters and as I clashed with Sousou himself. It wasn't much longer that multiple girls in school uniforms with red blazers came out. but Issei was able to defeat them with ease. But then came out a man that called himself Sieg that had gray hair that said, "I was born of the Yggdmillennia secrets and the hearts of a servant." He had three blades and held us off with ease.
After that a girl that called herself, Le Fay Pendragon came out and Mordred said, "to her bitch as niece of mine shouldn't take big." Then she looked over Mordred and Jan to say "the rest of the family was wonder where that witch put her bastard demigod daughters. But I don't have time to play with you." She then went over to Issei as a giant monster came out of the mist that Jan took out with ease. It was then one of Gaia's giants came out but, then Mordred used her noble phantasm to force the enemy away as Sousou told us to meet him at Nijo castle.
It was after that; we planned our next move on the castle. The prepared for the battle as we knew the hardest enemy would be the giant Periboia the fallen leader said she said it would require
Issei or myself to kill out right.
Issei pov
As I left the meeting, wondering how I would kill that giant lady, but from what everything Shirou told me. this giant was against everything I wanted; she was the giant of anti-love. I was thinking I may have to leave Shirou to kill her when Azazel and Halsin found me and gave me a pink orb but not after telling me. we found it on a guy molesting woman. My dragon told me, "That's your potential. When you unlock it your power will likely increase."
After that I asked Shirou about heroes, and he said to me "hero is a hard term to define. But if you keep on the path, you are on you could be considered a hero. Saving just one life and being remembered for it make it possible to reach the throne of heroes."
After that, the fox girl came with me to look for her mom. In the subway I met a man with the power of shadows, and he soon formed an armor of darkness to face mine. but as we battled, I figured out I couldn't hit him, and he soon trapped me in shadow. But thankfully my fox girl companion used her fox fire, and I was able to absorb and magnify the into massive blast to bring down the shadow user. As he died, the man revealed he was saved by Sousou when he broke the cycle.
After that we rejoined my friends to see Xenobia with a new sword in her arms and she said "a smith from camp Jupiter infused Durandal with elements of Durindana to enhance it." after that we entered the temple to find the elder fox woman under the control of Sousou. My blue haired friend started by attacking with her blade to make a huge creator but the blade wasn't able to unleash the kill.
It was after they came out, one of the enemies used a mix of magics to infuse Yaksha with the power of Daji to turn her into a giant fox monster. After that each of us paired with an enemy with Shirou pairing up with the giant as he said "you could never defeat her yourself. So, I will." It was then Shirou cast a spell and barrier around himself and the giant, I heard him say "I can only do this for a few seconds in its current incomplete form, but it will be enough for demigod and dragon god to kill you." It was then as the barrier began to break, I saw Shirou and blond man take turns striking the female giant with blades and fists until the man turned into a dragon and killed her."
As I clashed with Sousou, Xenobia and Kiba clashed with Sieg and Erina clashed with a girl using the holy version of Kiba's gear to form a dragon of holy swords. I soon learned the woman was Jean D'arc the lover of Sieg. The same time Saji was holding off the fox woman and trying to drain her power with the help of Kurama. I saw Yusuke teaming up against a demon girl at the same time. At the same time, I was struggling against Sousou as Hakufu was struggling against Ukitsu.
I soon managed to cut off the man's arm but he in turn healed and revealed her damaged my armor. Then the minions brought in the defeated but alive bodies of friends and as we were struggling. As I began to feel my weakness and frustration hit its worst, my blond former incarnation showed up before and unleashed my hidden potential. The orb's power allowed me to summon Rias in her underwear to aid us for the next stage of the battle.
As I did this, I saw Hakufu make a killing blow on her tanned opponent. Then I saw other members of Ravel's peerage get their own victory, but Saji and Kurama were still struggling with the berserk giant fox.
Shirou pov
I was surprised by the spell Issei used but help is help and if Rias can provide support, I will take it and if grabbing her boobs helps Issei, I will take it. I knew using my incomplete blade works on that giant left me mostly drained. I never wanted to use an imperfect spell this early but to kill a one of Gaia's broods it was worth it. I think Issei may have summoned her right in the middle of changing and was about to poke her boobs. But I was too tired to care. I knew I could barely defend myself and was just happy the others were keeping the rest of our enemies off me.
When issei ended up poking Rias, his power seemed to rise, and grand master said to me "his power is starting to rise. This time it seems to be in a positive way. I saw his armor shine red, and it changed into a new form. Then he fired a massive shot that did major damage. I then asked my dragon "are you copying all these new modes?" he replied, "much like your skill to copy blades I can copy the forms of other balance breaker armors and other fighting styles."
After his three-form attack, a dragon rose from the sky and then came the monkey king son Wukong. After that the dragon started to split the evil fox element from Yaksha while the monkey king prepared to fight Sousou. Our two new friends forced the group to run, but not before I got a blast in that took his opponents' eye.
After that, the dragon ripped a piece out of the fox matriarch, and she passed out. After that Kurama gave her daughter a rose and said younger fox yokai tried to talk her awake. But it took one of Issei's tricks to wake up the older fox.
It was a day later; we had to leave and got our thanks before leaving. Then we promised to see them again. but on the train Merlin showed up and said "I have bad news and worse news for you. The bad is that there is a holy grail war about to happen in America, while the Greek and roman factions are at war and the serpent of shadow is on the verge of crushing the two sides of Egyptian factions. Then worse news is that Giant you killed will rise again from Tartarus over and over until the doors of death are closed.
Ravel then told me "Very soon we have a rating game with Sona, and I want you to try and master that new trick you have for the battle against Saji.
Issei pov
After returning home, I updated Rias on what Merlin said she reminded us of having a battle with her cousin very soon. I also said sorry for teleporting and sending her back suddenly. I knew things were about to get worse before they got better and just hoped we didn't have another giant to face.
Chapter end
Some of the changes I made were to use Sieg from fate apocrypha over as well as used the Ikkitousen Sousou and Ukitsu from Ikkitousen as well.
Next chapter will get into the festival while both Shirou and issei have their own training
But first Ichigo will have to deal with the horrors of not just 1 but 2 holy grail wars colliding
Also my gap week is coming and I have a poll for when that happens and the top 2 scoring fics will get chapters
