In this chapter, we'll see how the parasites continue to spread.

You think they're unstoppable? They do seem to be able to multiply rather quickly. Though they can't do so without water. That's why the infected love water so much.

But then again, if you've seen The Faculty, you know that's not the case. There is a way to kill them. But I'm not spoiling it for those who haven't watched the movie.

Let's see how this chapter plays out.

Chapter 3: Trouble Brewing

As soon as Principal Drake saw Coach Willis, she decided to speak to him.

"Hello, Coach Willis. Is there something you wish to say to me?" asked Principal Drake.

She had wondered more than once if the coach was attracted to her.

After all, she spent a lot of money on gym class.

However, she wasn't the type of person to date someone who the students were not OK with. They were kind of like her kids. Though she wasn't sure who would replace the coach if she decided to fire him. She hoped that she didn't need to do so.

"I just wanted to think you for spending the budget on gym class. Now my team will win the game for sure." noted the coach. The opposing team won't know what hit them.

"I'm sure the town will be happy to see them win." remarked the principal. Some of the citizens were betting money on them.

"Would you like to give me a kiss?" asked the coach.

"Treat the students nicer and I'll consider it." answered the head teacher.

"I am treating them better." explained Willis. A happier team would be a more successful team. And he wouldn't have angry parents knocking on his door.

"Good! But I don't want to leap into a relationship." pointed out Drake…who was not a dragon.

"Alright. But would you be willing to shake hands?" asked the coach.

Principal Drake nodded. That seemed reasonable.

She shook hands with the coach…

…and a parasite entered her body.

Afterwards, they went to see Ms. Olson.

"Ms. Olson! I changed my mind! We'll be spending some of the budget on drama!" exclaimed Principal Drake. Just because their town was a football town didn't mean that they had to spend all their money on gym.

Maybe they could buy a computer or two. It was what Ms. Brummel wanted.

"Thank you! I'm so happy I could hug you!" thanked Ms. Olson. It looked like her wish had come true.

"Why don't you give me a hug then?" asked Drake.

The drama teacher shrugged and gave Drake a hug…

…and fell right into her trap.

As before, a parasite entered the victim's body.

Ms. Olson found herself under the parasites' control.

"Four down, not many to go." noted Coach Willis.

"Indeed." agreed Principal Drake.

So far, the invasion was going according to plan.

Sure, they hadn't managed to assimilate any important political figures yet, but this was still a very good start. Nobody knew about what they were doing.

Though one of the aliens had been discovered. Hopefully they wouldn't figure out why they were here.

The next day, the teachers noted that for some strange reason, Willis was drinking a lot of water.

Did he really need that much water? He should probably save some for the rest of the faculty.

At this rate, the watercooler was going to run out of water.

Though knowing John Tate, he was going to use the coffee machine and not the watercooler.

Later that day, Casey noticed that for some strange reason Coach Willis was standing outside while the sprinklers were on.

Was Coach Willis not concerned about getting wet?

He had once seen him get angry when the sprinklers turned on.

He decided to take a picture. Maybe Delilah would add it to the school newspaper.

A few minutes later, Coach Willis went to visit Professor Furlong.

He had heard about the creature one of his students had found.

"That's a remarkable creature you discovered there." noted Coach Willis.

"Well, I can't take credit for the discovery. It was Casey who found it." explained the professor. He was a smart kid.

"I managed to find another one of the creatures." spoke the coach.

"That's great! Can you show it to me?" asked Mr. Furlong.

Coach Willis showed it to him.

"Just how many are there at our school?" questioned the teacher. Perhaps he should get some scientists to come to their school. They would no doubt be intrigued by what they had found.

"The answer might surprise you." answered the gym teacher.

Suddenly, the parasite slipped from Joseph's hand.

"Whoops! I dropped it!" exclaimed the coach, who had done so on purpose.

The alien crawled into Mr. Furlong's leg.

Now he too was under their control.

"Welcome to the faculty, Mr. Furlong." said Joseph.

"I accept your invitation." answered the infected science teacher.

"You know, I'm glad I managed to infect the science teacher. Otherwise his knowledge could be used against us." noted Joseph to himself. If there was anyone that could have discovered a weakness of the alien invaders, it was him.

And besides, chances are the science teacher knew things about human biology they could use for their advantage.

The coach figured that since their leader had arranged for a secretive invasion, he would think before he chose who to infect.

Joseph noticed that the alien seemed frightened for some reason.

Coach Willis scratched his head.

"What? Are you waiting your turn? Are you anxious to have a human to call home? I can arrange that." spoke the coach.

He used a water bottle to scoop up the alien, intending to give it to another teacher.

At the football fields, Gabe was discussing the change in the coach's personality.

"I'm so glad that he's not making us do so many pushups anymore." remarked Gabe. It would be so much easier to make it to his classes if he didn't feel exhausted.

Ever since the coach's change in heart, the pushups had been minimal.

Although, they had noticed that other teachers had changed as well.

Should they talk to them? There had to be a reason for their change in behavior.

Coach Willis handed Ms. Brummel the water bottle.

"I felt bad about hogging the watercooler, so why don't you have some water yourself?" asked Joseph.

"Thanks." answered Ms. Brummel. She would accept the gift.

She didn't recall the gym teacher being this nice, but she decided not to question it.

Unfortunately, she did not notice the alien inside.

A hour later, in the showers, Stan noticed something alarming.

On the wall was a message written by a red marker.

"Get out while you still can!" read the message.

Oddly enough, there was another message below it saying "My apologies, your majesty!"

It certainly was an ominous message.

As soon as people heard the news, a variety of students gathered to look at it.

Though it was awkward for the girls to enter the boys' shower room. Most of them respected the privacy of men.

Of course, nobody was using it at the moment, but you got the idea.

"Why would someone write that?" asked Andrew.

Casey's eyes widened with fear.

"Why are they apologizing to their majesty?" questioned Stokeley. Did they mean the principal?

"And who wrote it?" asked Marybeth.

"Rotten kids, writing graffiti on the wall…" remarked Dick Vernon.

He had the janitor scrub off the message.

"Are you sure that a kid wrote it?" asked Stan. For all they knew it could have been a teacher.

Did anyone recognize the handwriting?

It didn't match the handwriting of any of his friends on the football team.

Casey suddenly ran out of the shower.

Delilah went to check on him.

"Are you alright?" asked Delilah.

"Yeah, I think so. But I'm not sure if I will be in the future." noted Casey.

"How come?" questioned the popular girl…who subverted stereotypes by being taller than Casey was.

"I've noticed that the teachers are acting off. Starting with Coach Willis." remarked the nerd.

"I do appreciate that he isn't abusing the students anymore. And I was worried he would hit on me. But I guess I don't have to worry about it anymore." noted Delilah.

Perhaps she could write about how the teachers were acting. The students would probably be interested about it.

"Yes, but aren't you worried about his shift of behavior?" asked Casey. He didn't seem like he was the same man that he was before.

"That is weird. I also noticed that Mrs. Olson took her glasses off. Since when has she ever done that?" questioned Delilah. Didn't she need those glasses?

Personally people said that she looked cute with glasses on. But it didn't seem to fit the image of the popular girl people thought she was.

"I hope this isn't the beginning of an alien invasion." remarked the teenage boy. He wasn't sure if Earth was ready to handle one. But then again, who was prepared for an alien invasion?

"Are you sure you aren't watching too many horror movies?" asked Delilah. They could make it really hard to sleep at night. It might be a good idea to watch them during the day.

"Who says aliens aren't real?" questioned Casey. They could be out there somewhere.

"Well, if you want to learn more about aliens, you should probably talk to Stokeley. She knows a lot about science fiction. Personally I wouldn't mind meeting aliens if they came in peace." remarked the brunette. Though it did seem pretty unlikely.

"Thanks, Delilah." spoke the nerdy boy.

"You're welcome!" answered Delilah.

He went to talk to Stokeley.

"Oh hey, Casey. Do you need something? I know that you love girls, but I'm a lesbian." noted Stokeley. Sorry to disappoint him.

"Are you sure? You look at Stan a lot when we're in class." spoke Casey.

"OK, you got me. But could you please not make me feel uncomfortable?" asked the girl who faked being a lesbian. She knew how much Casey liked pretty girls. And she was no exception.

"I'm not here to hit on you. If you want to be with Stan, that's fine. He's one of the jocks at the school that I actually like." remarked the boy. He had never given him a wedgie.

"You like him too? Maybe I should ask him out…wait, isn't he with Delilah?" asked Stokeley.

"Yeah. Anyways, it's about the strange behavior some of our teachers are exhibiting." noted Casey.

"I know. It's like Invasion of the Body Snatchers." said the redhead.

"You took the words right of my mouth. I took a picture of Coach Willis." spoke the boy.

He gave Stokeley a picture.

"Is that him standing in front of all the sprinklers?" asked Stokeley.

Casey nodded.

"Weird. Don't we have showers? Not that I'm attracted to the gym teacher." noted the loner. She thought that he sucked. She might not be a real lesbian but Coach Harris was definitely not her type of man.

"Mm-hmm. What could be happening at our school?" asked Casey.

"I'd like to think that we aren't inside of a sci-fi novel." noted Stokeley.

"There are fictional stories based on true ones." reminded the teenage boy.

"You think aliens are real?" asked the redhead. The only aliens she had encountered were ones in her dreams.

"If they are, they've probably paid our school a visit." said the geek.

"Gee, I'd be expecting crop circles in our football field if that happened." remarked Stokeley.

"Maybe they're smarter than that. Maybe they want to invade Earth secretly." suggested Casey. Not all aliens wished to invade Earth with spaceships and rayguns. They were a varied lot.

"So they're not going to the White House and blowing it up?" asked the redhead. She was worried that human terrorists would manage to pull that off.

"No. I don't think they're the aliens from Independence Day. At least I hope not." remarked the boy who was not Spyro the Dragon. Those aliens were truly evil.

"Yeah…I heard that movie was considered to be cliche." spoke Stokeley.

"Maybe we should talk to other people about this. They might be able to help." noted Casey. Perhaps they knew a thing or two about science fiction they did not.

"You do realize I'm a loner, right?" asked the teenage girl. Talking to other people wasn't something that she usually did. Though she did consider talking to Stan more than once.

"If there are aliens, would you want to fight them alone?" questioned the boy.

He certainly wouldn't.

"Good point." nodded the redhead. Perhaps it was time to stop being a loner. Desperate times called for desperate measures, after all.

Perhaps they could talk to the Breakfast Club about it.

Maybe they could help figure out what was going on.

And Casey was friends with one of them.

Maybe they could figure out who had written that message.

It seemed to be very important.

Was one of the teachers trying to warn them about what was going on?

If so, perhaps they could figure out who it was.

It was time to get to the bottom of this.

Oh no. More teachers are being infected.

It's only a matter of time before they target the students as well.

Who knows who will be next?
