Hearing his phone ring and seeing a video call, Gavin answered it and saw Elijah.
"Well, finally." Elijah responded, Gavin shushing him as Leah was asleep with her head on his lap.
"Voice down, she's tired!" Gavin whispered, unaware that Hank had walked into the house.
Hank quietly closed the front door and walked into the kitchen, putting the whiskey in the fridge before he closed it.
'Guess I should've seen it… Reed and Kamski are brothers…' Hank thought as he found an old picture of himself and Gavin's biological mother.
'Emery… you should've told someone. Why didn't you?' Hank thought solemnly before he put the picture away and left the kitchen as Gavin had hung up on Elijah and helped Leah sit up, Leah coughing slightly.
"I'll get you some water, Red." Gavin responded before he stood up.
Gavin blinked in a startled manner when he saw Hank before he walked into the kitchen and returned with a bottle of water, Leah drinking it after she opened it.
"I'm gonna go back to the precinct." Gavin whispered to Leah, who pulled his jacket off of her and handed it to him.
"Can't leave without that." Leah responded quietly, Gavin putting his jacket on before they hugged for a while and Gavin left.
"Want to tell me what I walked in on?" Hank asked, Leah turning to him.
"Two friends just catching up with each other." Leah explained.
"Seemed a lot more intimate than that." Hank replied before he turned to walk away.
"You know, I'd normally let you walk away and figure out how wrong you are with what you just implied but that is a fucked up implication from someone who's going to break his newfound sobriety the second I leave the room!" Leah responded, Hank turning back to her. "Yeah, I know you put alcohol in the fridge. I heard the door open and close. You know full fucking well that you have no right to say what you just said to me! Go ahead and drink. I'm done giving a damn." She explained before she petted Sumo and walked into her bedroom.
Changing into a warmer shirt and grabbing a coat, Leah put it on after putting her boots and gloves on.
Leah stood up and grabbed her phone, wallet, gun and badge before she left and slammed the door… and Sumo whined, Hank petting him.
"I know, Sumo… I messed up." Hank replied.
Going into Sun China in Greektown, Leah was immediately led to a table and sat down as the waitress handed a menu to her.
"Can I start you off with a drink, sweetie?" The waitress asked.
"Coffee with cream and sugar." Leah answered before the waitress wrote it down and left.
When she had ordered the sweet and sour chicken and shrimp fried rice to go with her coffee, Leah thanked the waitress and ate… and she paid no attention to the approaching footsteps until a hand rested on her back and she stopped eating and saw Connor before he sat down.
"Hey…" Leah responded softly.
Connor saw tears brimming at her eyes… and he lightly brushed them away.
"Don't cry…" Connor whispered.
Leah ^Companion
"He doesn't want to be helped… sometimes i just wonder why I even try." Leah explained, Connor lightly rubbing her back.
"Do you need anything?" Connor asked.
"I don't really feel like being alone now… will you stay?" Leah responded.
"Yes. I'll stay." Connor replied.
As Leah finished eating and finished her coffee, the two stood up as the waitress was coming back and Leah grabbed her wallet.
"Oh, don't worry about it. Your boyfriend already paid for your meal, Miss." The waitress explained before they smiled and Leah and Connor left.
"You didn't have to do that…" Leah replied as Connor carefully rubbed her injured right arm.
"It was the least I could do." Connor responded before they saw a taxi stop and got into the taxi.
Back at Jericho, Markus cringed slightly as Lucy cauterized the wound on his side and handed a bottle of thirium to him.
Markus carefully drank it and set it down, looking back to Lucy.
"Give me your hand." Lucy replied calmly, Markus doing so. "You had it all and you lost it all... you've seen hell and now hell lives in you. Your heart is troubled… a part of shadow and a part of light... which will prevail? Your choices will shape our destiny."
Markus nodded before he stood up and walked to where North was.
"Didn't take long. Lucy knows how to heal people's wounds." North responded.
"She does." Markus replied as he could hear Ghetto Gospel by Tupac and Elton John playing on a nearby radio. "A lot of these guys are in pretty bad shape…"
Giving a glance at the dying androids nearby, North nodded sadly. "That's how the humans treat those who disobey… they despise us. They'll never accept what we are…"
Thinking about the CyberLife Warehouses, Markus thought of something and North looked at him.
"You've got an idea…" North responded before she set the ball down, stood up and followed Markus to where Simon was.
"Simon!" Markus called out, Simon turning to him. "I know where we can find spare parts... The CyberLife warehouses in Detroit Harbor, they have everything we need."
Taking a few seconds, Simon blinked in shock. "The docks are guarded! We can't just walk in there and take what we want, humans will never let us!"
"We won't ask for permission. A friend of mine, she saw the docks late at night… it's not as guarded as you think." Markus explained.
"We can't risk involving her." Josh responded, him and Markus looking at each other as they realized they both knew Leah. "We don't have any weapons… and even if we did, none of us knows how to fight." He explained.
"We can steal what we need without fighting." Markus explained.
North ^Neutral
"I'm with you." North responded.
Simon ^Neutral
"Maybe it's worth a try." Simon replied.
Knowing there was no talking any of them out of it, Josh looked at them.
"Okay… I'm in." Josh responded.
Ending up at Henry Ford Commemorative Park, Leah and Connor sat down on a bench as Apologize by One Republic and Timbaland played on a nearby radio.
"It's beautiful out here this time of day…" Leah replied as Connor nodded and scanned the environment around them.
"The current temperature is 36° with a likelihood of snow later. I recommend we find somewhere warm." Connor responded, Leah looking at him.
"We should… but I just want to stay here for a bit. Safe with you." Leah replied.
Hesitating for a brief second, Connor wrapped his arms around her shoulders and Leah rested her head on his right shoulder and her left hand on his hands.
His skin sensitivity setting on, Connor realized that physical touch felt good for once.
