Chapter 41

It was a cloudy rainy day so Anna didn't mind staying inside that much. At least she gets to look out the window, not hide behind the curtains. Even if it was only to watch a house for any movement. This was far better than staying in that little apartment waiting.

Robert walked up behind her with their lunch on a tray. "Has anything happened while I was away?"

"There were three cars that arrived about the same time. A single person got out of each and went up to the house."

Robert looked out and noticed the cars still parked in front. "Could be time for a debriefing?"

"If Faison is inside, that would be my guess." It wasn't a perfect view but they could see most of the front drive as well as some of the back yard. There are definitely people bustling about the place this morning but so far they have not seen Faison.

"All we need to do is get a glimpse of him. Once we know he is here we can put the plan into action." After putting their lunch down Robert sat down beside Anna. "You eat a little and I'll watch."

Anna smiled and handed the binoculars to him. She started eating, realizing just how hungry she actually was. Five minutes later Robert pointed as he said. "Him, I saw him when we were out at the cabin."

"Who?" Anna jumped up to see who he was talking about.

"The guy in front of the other two. I saw him at least twice on the hiking trails."

"You're right. I saw him as well," Anna realized

"That's a good sign. The people who were watching us are now here, we have to be watching the right place."

"Should we let Sean know?"

"Let's watch a little longer, see what else there could be to report."

"Alright." Anna sat back down and finished her lunch. Then she and Robert changed places so he could eat. They watched the house for another three hours before deciding to call Sean and update him.

"How do we get him out of that house if he has people reporting to him? Will he have someone else try to grab me?" Anna asked after they had filled Sean in on what they had seen since getting there.

Robert thought for a moment before he said, "If it comes to it, Alex has already told me she will do whatever is needed to help us get Faison."

Anna sighed, she hated having Alex risk her life for this. "If it comes to it."

Robert squeezed her hand. He understood her reluctance but knew she would do what had to be done. Anna would let others do their part even if she hated it. "She will be alright," he whispered.

"If that's all Sean, I think we'll let you go. I want to get back to watching the going on over there."

"I've said everything I needed to. I'll call tomorrow." Then Sean hung up. He was at police headquarters but all he wanted to be focused on was stopping Faison and whatever plan he had.

Faison sat staring out the window that looked over the backyard. Replaying all that had been reported to him earlier. Last night not only had Franklin seen Anna by The Outback, the other one had seen them pulling away from their house in the same car Franklin had seen. Not right by the house but close enough they could have been there. They had followed them a little way but lost track of them. They did find the car by a small hotel his morning but so far had not seen them again.

Was Anna back here? Is she with someone? Is it Scorpio? Is she trying to come home to her daughter or is she trying to sneak her away? It has to have been Anna Sean was seen meeting with, it had to be. Faison was certain of it. If she is here, how long has she been here and how long before she leaves again? What will it take to get Anna out in the open? What will he have to do to make sure he leaves here with his woman?

It's settled, he wants people watching Robin and Sean. If Anna is going to reach out to anyone here, it will be one of those two. When the time is right, it will be quick, then he will be gone with Anna. Never to be seen again. P.K. Sinclair left in the past as well. They will have to start over but that suited him just fine. There being no traces for anyone to find would fit his needs just fine.

When Frisco walked into police headquarters he was greeted by many friends before making his way to Sean's office. "Hey, what kept you?"

"There were a few people that wanted to say hello."

Sean grinned, "I bet there were. Take a seat." Frisco got settled in. "We need to start talking about where we take Faison once we have him. I will not hand him over to the WSB and have him slip through their figures again."

"Well there is one way to deal with him that he won't escape," Frisco suggested.

"Don't think that hasn't crossed my mind. That man can't be allowed to keep this up." Sean started to get a little heated. "The things he has put us all through, he has to pay for all of that." Tiffany and Felicia had been his victims as well in the last few years. He will be stopped this time.

"If we lock him up here, where can we send him that we can handle the transport? I mean, I might be WSB but if we are handing him over to them then I think you and I should personally deliver him," Frisco suggested.

Sean thought about that, "I think you're on to something. There are a couple of facilities I know the WSB uses. Once someone is at these places, they generally are never heard from again." He leaned forward, "I would pay to be the one that throws away Faison's key."

"He will be handcuffed to both of us until he is in the cell. There will be no mistakes this time. If the WSB hadn't let him escape none of this would be happening."

"I'd like it to be a bodybag but yeah, we handle him this time."

Robin was seated in her father's barber chair, watching Mac read papers on the desk. "If they have moved does that mean this is getting closer to being done, doesn't it?"

"I don't think I should tell you what's happening now."

"I didn't ask that, Uncle Mac." Robin grinned at him. "I went to see them today. Friday and I were both disappointed to find out they weren't at the apartment now."

"They moved a couple of days ago and yes we hope this is almost over. The trap is set."

Robin let out a little sigh, "I want this to be over, Uncle Mac. I want that man behind bars and Mom and Daddy home. It isn't fair that we have to live like this."

It didn't happen often but hearing that pain in Robin's voice always hurt. She just wants to be like kids her age, she didn't ask to have danger as a normal part of her life. "Hey, we are going to stop Faison and then your parents are going to be here telling you what to do while you get on their nerves."

Robin smiled, "That's not too much to ask for."

Mac laughed and smiled back at her, "I've got some stuff to finish off here. Why don't you head up to your room? You're right, this could go down any time."

"Yeah, that's gonna help me sleep." She got up and gave Mac a hug. "Good night. Say hi to Ronda for me."

"Get out of here." They both laughed and then Robin wandered out of the room. She doesn't need to know he won't see her tonight, they have plans tomorrow morning.

Having Anna and Robert take their time hanging around different places hoping they might be seen made sense the night they were changing locations. Now that they were hidden away again no one on the team felt they should risk giving away their hiding place now. That meant if there were to be any more Anna sightings it would have to be Alex that played the part.

There was a part of her that was still scared every time Alex was about to leave but there was a part of her that was getting a thrill from playing cloak and dagger. Leaving the apartment above The Outback wasn't that hard. Hide her face and leave when others are and she's out of there. Sneaking back in was not as simple but the cleaning lady disguise hasn't let her down yet.

Tonight she was meeting someone new, Frisco was part of the team and Anna had spoken highly of him. He is WSB and a close friend of Anna's and Robert's. Tonight once they are together he is taking the lead. They believe Faison is now in Port Charles so even though they need her to risk being seen, no one feels comfortable letting Alex be alone at night.

"Let this be the last time I have to do this," Alex said as she slipped through the door. Hearing laughter, she knew there were some people in the vicinity. Tonight she wore a shoulder-length blonde wig and wire-rim glasses. Sean had explained that it didn't always have to be a full disguise but she should try to change her appearance some when she was going out. It would be less likely she is recognized or any patterns could be noticed.

Alex had been given keys to a car that was waiting in the parking lot. Then she was to drive toward Anna and Robert's house but was to park two blocks away. That's where Frisco will find her.

As she started the car Alex wondered what had she gotten herself into. How many more nights can she do this? The adrenaline isn't enough to keep her doing this much longer. Once Alex was a few blocks from The Outback she removed the wig, checked her hair in the mirror, then rolled down the car window. Might as well make it a little easier to see her.

Alex grinned when she saw the large pelican statue Sean had told her to park close to. Why would someone want that in their front yard she wondered as she slowed down to park. "Get it together Alex. You know what to do next, Sean is not going to let anything happen to you." Taking a deep breath, she stepped out of the car. Looking up and down the street, Alex saw no one. Sean said to cross the street and walk away from the statue, so she did.

"Nice night for a stroll."

Don't freak out Alex just respond. "Only if the are no trolls."

"No trolls, just Jones."

Alex let out a sigh, "Hi." Even if she'd seen several old movies that have spies using codes like that, Alex hadn't really thought they really did it. Seeing how well it works she understood why.

Quietly Frisco replied, "Hey, just follow my lead. You're Anna, and you want to see Robin." Alex gave him a slit nod so he continued louder. "You can't risk it!"

"You don't get it."

"I know what it's like to miss your kid, you can't do this. Not yet."

"I'm tired of waiting. I want to see her." Frisco then took hold of her arm. "I'm not going back there. It's time."

"No. You know we have to wait. Just a few more days. Please Anna, we just want to make sure it's safe for everyone. Then you can all vanish together. We're close to making that happen." Frisco winked.

Alex knew that meant she needed to back down now. "Alright, you're right." Alex sighed and let her shoulders slump, trying to convey she was giving in.

"Come on," tugging slightly on her arm they started walking together.

Frisco led them back to his car opened the door for her then got in himself. "I'm not sure where we're going but you and I could be driving for some time together. We don't want to make it too easy to find you."

"We can drive for a couple of hours if it means I make it back to that little apartment unnoticed."

Frisco gave her a little grin. He knew she was willing to help but at the same time really wanted nothing to do with any of this.

It was a dark night, no moon to be seen. Two doors down, there was no movement in the house Faison was stashed away in. Even the house Robert and Anna were laying low in was mostly dark. It was Robert pacing this evening for a change. Anna on the other hand was sitting back in a chair, her hand resting on her stomach. They were well aware of what Alex and Frisco were up to. That at any time someone could report to Faison that Anna was seen arguing with someone.

They also both knew that was why Robert couldn't relax. Knowing that Faison is just waiting to hear that there is a chance he can grab Anna again had his blood boiling. Then Robert turned, looking straight at Anna. "He killed his mother! Faison shot his mother, she was Holly's nanny. Did I tell you this?" He paused, "Did I know this?"

"What?" Anna stood up. "Holly's nanny was Faison's mother?"

"Yeah, I don't know the entire story. He was using her, he tried to take Robin. We caught them and he shot his mother." It was coming back to him as he spoke. "Holly saw it happen too. We got Robin to safety but Faison got away."

"That wasn't that long after he'd taken me. I remember Faison was so angry and had been yelling about the evening going wrong. He even told me after that, that he had tried to bring me a gift. He was going to kidnap Robin and call it a gift." Anna felt sick as she realized just how far he had gone. What he was willing to do just to have her with him. She rushed to the bathroom, feeling like she was going to be ill.

Robert followed her, worried he had upset her. "Are you alright, Luv?"

Anna turned, breathing deeply, glad she hadn't gotten sick. "We have to stop him, Robert! We can't let him hurt anyone else."

"I know. We aren't letting him get away this time." Robert put his hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes. "That man will not hurt you again."

Anna closed her eyes and let out a slow breath. "Promise me, you will be careful. Faison wouldn't hesitate to kill you."

"He won't get the chance, I promise you that." Robert pulled her into his arms and they held each other tightly. "Let's go to bed. If it happens tonight it will be later, so let's get some rest."

Anna nodded against his chest, "I just want to be in your arms." Then they turned and went to the bedroom. Without having to say anything else, what Robert had just remembered scared them both and all they wanted was the security of the other one arms.

AN: Just a little reminder, this would have been shortly after Tiffany was poisoned and Felicia kidnapped both by Faison so of course Sean and Frisco have heat for Faison of their own
