The Evas launched their assault, sprinting through the city to intercept the massive creature, hoping to slow him down or turn him away. Shinji, Asuka, and Rei each tried their hardest, piloting Units 01, 02, and 00, but Godzilla barely registered their attacks. Progressive knives barely scratched his scales, and their rifles were as effective as pebbles tossed into the ocean.
"Nothing we're doing is even phasing him!" Asuka yelled in frustration as she attacked his leg, only to be ignored.
Rei, in Unit-00, maneuvered around to Godzilla's side, attempting to stab at his thick hide. But with a sudden sweep of his massive clawed hand, Godzilla grabbed Unit-00 as if it were a toy. Without hesitation, he swung it with immense force, hurling the Eva through the air. Unit-00 rocketed across the battlefield, smashing directly into Unit-02 with a thunderous impact. Both Evangelions were sent crashing backward, colliding into a skyscraper that crumbled under their combined weight, sending plumes of dust and debris into the air.
"Rei! Asuka!" Shinji shouted, watching in shock as both Evas lay in the rubble, struggling to rise.
Asuka coughed and growled into her comms, trying to get Unit-02 back on its feet. "This is insane! He's tossing us around like we're nothing!"
In the command center, Misato's fists clenched as she watched the brutal scene unfold. "This isn't working. He's too powerful!"
But Godzilla, undeterred and unbothered by the attempts to slow him down, continued his march. His steps resonated like thunder, each one bringing him closer to the Geofront. The King of the Monsters had a singular focus, and no force on Earth—human, Angel, or otherwise—would keep him from reaching Lilith.
