Mera was currently using her Atlantean magic to halt the advance of the forces of Atlantis when she noticed that some of these troops, the armor they were wearing, wasn't Atlantean. It was Xebellian. These were her father's troops and she knew that her father had never been one to hide behind his armies, since King Nereus of Xebel had always been one to lead by example, one of the things Mera respected about her father. Or at least she used to as she pulled one of the soldiers up by their throat.

"Where is my father? Where is he?" Mera demanded.

"You are in no position to make demands, traitor." the soldier said, only to see about a hundred ice daggers bearing down on him as Mera's eyes and skin markings glowed.

"Care to rethink that?" Mera asked threateningly.

"There's no need to threaten my subject Mera. I'm right here." A new voice said and Mera turned to see her father, King Ryus Nereus of Xebel, standing before you.

"How could you be a part of this madness? This is genocide." Mera said.

"How is that any different than what the surface has been doing to Atlantis for centuries?" Nereus asked.

"The only ones to truly blame for that is us, since how can you expect the surface to care about people they don't know exist. They're not intentionally trying to kill our people, but this is nothing short of pure genocide. All my life, you taught me that you were a man of honor. What is honorable about what you're doing now? Attacking the surface without any true provocation, slaughtering innocents at random, how are those the actions of an honorable man or king. You don't deserve that trident. And speaking of tridents, look at what Orm's current opponent is holding." Mera said to her father in disgust as she gestured over to where Arthur and Orm were battling.

"Is that?" Nereus asked, not believing his eyes.

"The lost trident of Atlan being wielded by Queen Atlanna's firstborn son. By the most sacred laws of Atlantis, Arthur is high king and if you refuse to accept that, then the Atlantis you claim to be fighting for is already dead." Mera said, trying to get through to her father.

"The surface must answer for their crimes." Nereus said.

"And by that logic when this is over, you should be locked up in a surface prison just like Orm will be." Mera pointed out.

"I'm fighting to protect Xebel." Nereus insisted.

"You're fighting because you're too much of a coward to stand up to Orm. The great King Nereus is afraid. You're a disgrace and you deserve worse than this." Mera said as she blasted her father back with the full force of her magic, sending him flying back.

At the same time this was happening, Wonder Woman was currently in the sky, knocking Atlantean warships out of the sky, since apparently they flew as well as they sailed when she heard someone's voice in her comms.

"Miss me angel?" A familiar voice asked and Wonder Woman grinned as she turned to see her fiance fly a raptor next to her.

"I thought I told you to stay away from this fight." Wonder Woman asked her fiance.

"You did, but you can't order me around until after we get married." Steve Trevor said with a grin.

"Steve, I'm serious. I know how committed you are to your country, but this is too dangerous. I'm not risking losing you before I get to walk down that aisle." Wonder Woman said.

"Who says you get to be the only hero in our family?" Steve asked.

"This is not the time to be a hero, Steve. I swear, if you get yourself killed, I will storm into Hade's realm itself to kick you back to life just so I can kill you myself." Wonder Woman promised.

"Diana, this is my job just as much as it is yours. I promise I'll be careful." Steve said.

"Please do. At least wait until I've softened these clowns up a bit." Wonder Woman said.

"Deal. You know you're the only thing I'm more committed to than this country." Steve said.

"Good. Also, the guest list for our wedding just went up significantly, I'll explain after we've ended the war." Wonder Woman said.

"Copy that. Now let's get back to work and lay some hate on these Atlanteans." Steve said.

"You have no idea how hot you sound right now." Wonder Woman said, suddenly hoping that Steve had put them on a private channel, otherwise she'd never hear the end of it from the rest of the league.
