Darkness filled the screen as a bright yellow glow slowly appeared, followed by numerous gold and silver stars illuminated the center, taking the form of letters with every passing second.

Yet as the words shimmered to life, a small ball of light flew towards the title and tapped the title, causing it to burst into bright gold stardust as everything went black.

-Kingdom of Corona, Corona Castle, The Dungeons-

Darkness filled the quiet stone hallways, the full moon providing little light in some of the more deeper portions of this foreboding location than in others as the camera zoomed down several hallways and through several empty cells.

Yet as the camera moved towards the lowest portion of the ancient dungeons, the sound of pacing could be heard around the right hand corner.

Clack.

Monotonous yet agitated in tempo, the footsteps continued onwards as the camera focused onto a lone cell coated in both steel bars and several interlocking chain locks of different sizes and shapes...an indication of its heightened security compared to the thousands of other cells around it.

[Oh yes, the maximum security cell. Created by this kingdom's first monarch to prevent certain criminals more dangerous than the rest from escaping. Fun fact, this was the place where all those criminals convicted of the princess's abduction were kept until their executions.]

Clank.

And lo, pacing within the cell was a tall slender pale skinned young woman with long auburn hair that went down to her shoulders and tied into a large bun with curled side bangs, a long maroon streak going across her right side bang, black eyes with grayish brown eyeshadow, red lips, a B cup chest and large ass, a skull tattoo on her right shoulder sporting two red roses on it's cranium and lower jaw, wearing a sleeveless dark brown underbust vest, a grayish brown corset with black stripes going down her chest, a silver lined necklace with a skull pendant attached to it, brown fingerless gloves, a black belt sporting a gray buckle, grayish brown capris-like trousers sporting gray ruffles at the ends, dull gray stockings and black heeled boots, whose expression was filled with rage and frustration over her current predicament.

[And this is the cell's newest occupant, Lady Caine. Master thief, criminal warlord, and a woman with a massive chip on her shoulder. I mean her father died in this cell for a crime he never committed and yet here she is, stuck here after failing to capture the king and queen's daughter Rapunzel. Now normally this is where she's staying for the next half a year or so, until a...criminal horse frees her from prison? Am I recalling that right? Huh...unexpectedly weird.]

'Damn that blonde bimbo of a princess! Damn her unnaturally long hair! DAMN HER EXISTENCE!' She thought in rage while her fingers clenched into claw-like movements every few seconds. 'If she wasn't there I would've had my vengeance on that pathetic King Frederic and avenged my father in the process. But NO! She had to ruin everything!'

Clack.

"I'll get out of here." She muttered before throwing her only pillow at a nearby wall, not noticing the sound of footsteps getting closer to her cell. "And when I do I'll gut that princess with her own frying pan!"

Knock knock.

"Ooh yes, that will be perfect for her." Caine said to herself with a chuckle, not hearing the knocking on her cell door due to being too round up in her own rage fueled delusions. "She's the reason that father did, the reason that Frederic ruined my life. The reason why-"

"It wasn't him." said a familiar voice as the criminal jumped back and turned around in surprise. "Nor was it me."

And lo, standing in front of the cell door was a tall slender fair skinned young woman with long golden blonde hair that went down to her feet and held together into a thick braid by several red dot bands, green eyes, brown eyelashes and eyebrows, rosy cheeks, pink lips, small freckles around the nose, a C cup chest and wide ass, wearing a long sleeved lavender dirndl with a light pink lining and white lace on the ends of the sleeves, short puffed shoulders with pink and lavender stripes, a dark pink corset top sporting pink lacing on the back and white lacing around the ends, a white petticoat, a long lavender skirt that went to her upper ankles and was completely barefoot, as she held a torch in her left hand and was completely...serious, unnaturally serious compared to her normal chipper self that the criminal saw just a few hours prior.

"You? What are you talking about?"

"My father wasn't the one that ruined your life, it was...the one that stole me away at birth." the princess said with a frown. "And you know that's true."

"No-"

"Look, I'm not here to start fights with you. I'm here with a deal."

[Oooh, looks like Rapunzel's getting serious. Then again, in this timeline, instead of just sleeping after her little song number...well, you'll see.]

"A deal? After I tried to kill you? Ha! You're just as crazy as your father." Lady Caine laughed mockingly before turning her back to the princess. "No deal. So go on, run back to-"

"I know who let your father rot in prison." Rapunzel interrupted as the criminal froze in her tracks. "I know the identity of my kidnapper, the one that ruined your life and I'm willing to help you find closure."

"...who?" She said while her tone sounded deadly cold, like a raging blizzard. "Who are they?"

"I'll tell you, only if you listen to my bargain. I assure you, it will benefit us both."

"...I'm listening." Lady Caine said while turning towards Rapunzel, her eyes glazed over as her lips slowly formed a snarl of anger.

'Hopefully this works, or I just made her angry at me for no reason.' Rapunzel thought with a sigh. "In exchange for your freedom and safe passage out of Corona, I am willing to help you locate and find the one that ruined both our lives. Once found, you can do anything you want, anything."

"Mmmm, sounds contrived. You don't seem that special or even good at all. What do you have to offer besides a frying pan?" the criminal said before seeing the princess moving her hair through some of the bars and into her left hand.

"This was why I was stolen." She said coldly. "My mother consumed a flower with the ability to heal anything. I gained these abilities at birth and...I was locked in a tower for eighteen years because of it. For eighteen years I stayed above the ground, unable to see the world, only being fed once every few months, taught that the world was after me because of my hair. I was groomed to become nothing more than a dependent 'flower' to a monster that took away half of my life."

The criminal blinked while slowly letting that sink into her mind as the hair was pulled out from between the bars.

"If it wasn't for Eugene, I'd be still in that tower, wasting away and terrified of everything." Rapunzel said while placing the torch on a nearby torch rack. "When I said you can do anything, I meant it. I hold no love for them anymore, nothing but hate. In a way, I'm sympathetic to you Caine, you were also a victim of this as well...and because of that I'm willing to put away my own morals if it's to help you escape your cage of vengeance."

"...just tell me, who are they? Who were the ones that caused my father to die?"

"...Gothel. Her name is Gothel, and she was the one that ruined our lives, all because she wanted my powers to stay young forever." the princess said before pulling out a gold key from behind her back. "So, are you in or-"

"I'm in, not because I feel sympathy for you, you also caused my father's death by being the target. However...this Gothel bitch is the true cause of his death, so I'm willing to 'forgive' you after I stab her through her heart with my sword!" Caine growled before seeing the door opening in front of her, the chains and locks falling off instantly.

The princess nodded before watching the criminal walk out of the cell. "Then we have to move before the guards show up. No one else knows, not even Pascal."

"Pas-"

"The chameleon."

"Wait? That was a chameleon, I thought it was a malnourished frog."

Rapunzel deadpanned at the hardened crime lord with a look of disbelief.

"Look, I'm not good with reptiles, ok? So let's just get to the getaway carriage-"

"There's no carriage."

"What?! Then how are we going to this tower in the first place?!"

"By walking. I can't get the horses or they'll be reported missing. Plus Maximus isn't keen on criminals riding his back." Rapunzel said with a nervous chuckle as she recalled the few times Eugene attempted to ride the stallion with little accomplishment.

[Mmm, I kinda want to see that. On loop. Would make a perfect compilation video.]

"Uuuugh." Caine groaned in annoyance before snapping her fingers in revelation. "Maybe we can ride horses to this tower. Follow me."

"Wait-hey!" The princess yelled in surprise while running after the criminal up a nearby stairway.

(A few minutes later)

-Corona Docks, Secret Passageway Exit-

"Wait? This was in the storage room the entire time?" Caine said in shock as Rapunzel kicked open a grate and climbed out into the empty streets.

"Yep, only knew of it yesterday."

"...so my plans would've been successful if we knew of it?! Now that's just-" Caine yelled before getting her mouth covered by the princess' hands.

"There's a guard patrol coming right now." She whispered as two guards walked by without them noticing the two women at all. "Look, just don't yell and we'll be fine. Although I'm still surprised you didn't murder the guards when I led you to the passageway."

"I'm not that bloodthirsty." The criminal deadpanned while pushing Rapunzel's hands from her mouth and rested her right hand on her required rapier. "Besides, it's better if you knock them out. Although why a frying pan?"

The princess smirked while twirling an iron frying pan with her right index finger. "It's versatile and deadly. Just ask the Stabbington Brothers."

"Wait? You had a run-in with them?"

"Yes and they were hired to kidnap me, all thanks to Gothel's manipulations." She said while Caine made a mental note to kill the two brothers in the future for aiding her father's murderer. "Now let's get going. I think we can borrow a boat and-"

And as if on cue, Caine placed her left hand near her lips and let out a loud whistle that spooked not only the princess but also the guards and nearby rats.

[OW! And my ears too, that gal has a powerful set of lungs!]

"What was that?!" one of the guards yelled from atop the castle walls before turning around and saw...nothing at all. "Huh, must be a bird or something."

"What. Are. You. Doing?!" Rapunzel whispered in shock as she was currently hiding behind a crate along with Caine. 'Is this what Cass feels like with me? Oh no, I better apologize to her after this is over.'

"Getting a ride."

"With that loud a whistle?!"

"Well he is stationed a few miles from here, it has to be loud." Caine said with a smirk before feeling the ground rumble a little. "And he's just about here."

Clop clop clop clop clop!

"What are you-" the princess said before noticing a black stallion with a white stripe on its forehead running towards them from the bridge, using its speed and bulk to knock any guard near it into the water below. "Wait who's that?"

"Axel, my horse."

Clop clop clop clop clop.

"You have a horse?"

"Yep." The criminal said with a smirk as the horse made a complete stop in front of her, allowing her to rub its neck with affection. "Found him in one of the Baron's stables being worked to death so I kept him and he's been good to me ever since, isn't that right, Axel?"

The horse snorted with appreciation before seeing Rapunzel and gave her a glare of confusion.

"Relax Axel, she's with us for now. No need to get testy." She said while the stallion calmed down slightly. "Now princess-"

"Rapunzel."

"Whatever. Since you know where this tower is, I need you to navigate me there. It's only fair."

"...alright, but I just want to warn you that the trail there is rather hazardous, filled with swamps, oh and hidden. She didn't want anyone finding me."

"Right, got it. Still all this for hair, it's rather insane thinking about it." Caine said while getting onto Axel's back.

"She couldn't cut it off, the magic fades if that happens, I should know, I did it myself."

"...but you-"

"Long story, but no time to waste. The guards might've heard the commotion." the princess said before jumping onto the horse and held onto Caine's waist.

'I hope this isn't a trick because this feels very uncomfortable and weird!' Caine thought before riding towards the bridge like a bat out of hell.

[Funny, in another timeline, she actually liked Rapunzel holding her. Then again that's a reality where she found Rapunzel in the tower, not Flynn. But let's see how they interact on their journey.]

(Some time later)

-Corona Forests-

Clop clop clop clop clop clop clop!

"Now just take a right near that hill."

"You said that last time."

"Yes, and I admit that I'm not that good at remembering in pitch darkness, but we did get over that cliffside right?"

"After you nearly led us into a swamp!" Caine yelled in annoyance as Axel's legs were covered in mud and sticks.

"Yeah, but we got out right?" Rapunzel chuckled nervously while the criminal gave her a glare. "Right, not the time for jokes."

"Ugh, you are annoying, you know that right?"

"Not the first time I've been told that. But hey, I'm just cheerful and peppy." She said with a smirk. "It helps me stay sane."

"Sane?"

"Yep, I mean I haven't had human contact in a long time. I mean I'm still learning what people actually do and all, so it's kinda hard to realize what's appropriate and what's not sometimes."

"...you really had a hard life, didn't you?"

"Yes, but so did you. I know I still have parents but just the idea of losing them...it's painful isn't it?"

"..."

"Sorry, I didn't-"

"After he was arrested, I tried to prove his innocence." Caine said with a frown. "I wrote letters to the castle staff, tried to raise funds for his release and even tried to find the real criminal. But he still died, despite my best efforts. I chose to become a criminal to get rich, get revenge and just feel something after learning he died from the prison's poor conditions."

Rapunzel stared at the hardened criminal, not seeing a pair of cat eyes following them as Caine gripped the reins tightly with her hands.

"Painful only describes one part of a larger complexity of what I feel. Hate, rage, sadness, guilt. I lost the light in my life thanks to her and I'll make sure she never tries this again." Caine said before giving Rapunzel a glare. "Don't you tell anyone about this, I have a rep to maintain."

She nodded before noticing a large rock pit just below them as a wall of greenery rested upon a large stone wall. "There."

Clop clop clop.

"This is the place."

"Um, alright?" the criminal said before Axel rode down the right side of the rock pit and stopped at the wall of greenery. "Are you-"

"Yes, follow me." Rapunzel said while jumping off the horse and walking through the greenery, making Caine realize that it was hiding a cave system.

'So that's how no one found it. This Gothel woman is smart, I'll give her that. Not even the Baron or anyone else would look twice at a wall of shrubs.' She thought before jumping off Axel's back and whispered in his ear. "If this goes south, come get me so we can get out of this kingdom. Got it?"

The horse snorted in agreement with a nod.

"Good boy." She said before walking after the princess, her blade cutting the flora with several strokes as she entered the tunnel.

Only to see a massive tower, about seventy stories high or so, standing atop a large hill, the sound of rushing water echoing from the nearby waterfall as Rapunzel...walked over towards the tower like a spirit possessed ghoul.

'Just HOW did no one find this place?! That tower is the only man-made thing here!'

[Eh. Call it either human error or stupidity. Not many can see the tree within the forest, just the forest.]

As the criminal ran up the hill towards the tower, she noticed that Rapunzel was trembling a little, fixated on the tower itself...seemingly unable to move.

'So this is her fear. I guess even a flying pan loving bimbo can have some trauma...and this place is it. Just like that cell back in the dungeons for me.' She thought to herself before slapping the princess's head with her left hand.

"OW! What the?!" Rapunzel yelled in surprise as she turned around, holding a dark green hooded cloak with gold lining in her arms, her previous stupor instantly vanishing.

"Earth to princess, is this the place or what?"

"Ow, it is. Couldn't you try tapping my shoulder or something less painful?"

"Mmm, no. Call it payback for the frying pan." Caine smirked before pointing to the cloak. "So mind telling me why you have that old rag?"

"Oh this? It's Gothel's cloak."

"Wait? She's here, right now?!" She said with realization before pulling out her rapier. "Where is she?! I'll gut her like a fish for her sins!"

Rapunzel coughed a little, seemingly a little on edge as she turned around and placed the cloak back on the ground.

"Where is she?!"

"Um, this is a little...complicated-"

"Tell me or I'll gut you as well!"

The princess coughed before stepping aside, revealing...

A pile of clothes, red and gold in coloration, spread across the ground as faint traces of dust lined the insides of this seemingly ancient cloth.

"...what? What's this...princess-"

"Age caught up with her the moment I cut my hair to save Eugene's life. She fell here and turned to dust." Rapunzel said while taking a seat near the clothes, undoing her bands to reveal her seventy feet of golden hair in the process. "She's been dead for half a year."

"...WHAT?! You KNEW?!"

"Yes."

"So this trip was for nothing?! Why you scheming little-"

"Before you try to kill me, I want to explain why I came along." She interrupted as the rapier was now dangerously close to her neck. "I knew telling you where the tower was would just make your heart shatter and in turn...get you more ready to kill me and my family, but as I told you before I'm here to help you move on."

"And HOW IS LETTING ME SEE...THIS MOVING ON?!" Caine yelled with fury, her mind filled with rage at being 'had'. "YOU BETTER HAVE-"

"My hair can bring the dead back to life."

The sound of rushing water echoed across the valley as Caine stared at the princess in astonishment.

"...what?"

"My hair not only heals and reverses aging but...it also can bring the dead back to life. That's how Eugene survived getting killed by Gothel, but-"

"But what?!"

"He was only dead for a few minutes. I never tried on someone or something...long dead. That's why I'm here, to resurrect her so you can...you know."

"...you're nuts! Magic hair, hair that brings the dead back to life?! I knew you were insane but THIS?! This is crazy, and I've seen crazy! I WORK WITH CRAZY!" Caine snapped in rage as Rapunzel placed her hair on the pile of clothes. "This isn't worth it! You're going to die RIGHT NO-"

"Flower gleam and glow." Rapunzel chanted as her hair started to glow a bright gold color, stopping the criminal's rant in its place. "Let your power shine. Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine."

Wooosh.

'What in the?!' Caine thought as the dust began to rise upwards, followed by the clothes as the cat-like eyes stared at them from above.

[Mmm, this looks fun. I guess making those incarnations for the two stones was worth it after all.]

"Heal what has been hurt. Change the Fates design." Rapunzel continued to chant, her eyes glowing a bright gold as the dust began to shrink and condense into...bones. "Save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine. What once was mine."

Crack.

Pop!

Crunch!

Squish!

Caine stared in awe as the dust quickly transformed into bones, the sounds of popping joints and reattached muscles taking precedence over the waterfall in front of them as eyeballs and the formation of hair appeared from the skull.

And it was making her slightly sick, given this WASN'T what she wanted to see tonight.

'I think I'm going to hurl!' She thought in disgust as Rapunzel kept on chanting, a gold aura covering the reforming body like an aurora as skin and nails sprouted from the exposed muscles along with several internal organs.

Yet as several more seconds passed, the light began to fade away to reveal...a tall slender pale ivory skinned woman with long black thick curly hair that went down to her hips, three long curls hanging over her forehead, gray eyes with brown eyeshadow, red blush, a D cup chest and wide ass, wearing a long crimson red dress that went down to her feet sporting a faint gold trim and dappled pattern within the fabric, a black neckline with gold lining, elbow length sleeves with long hip length hems, small golden diamond-like earrings, a crimson red sash sporting a circular gold buckle that went down to her feet, and brown high heeled boots, standing right in front of the two women with an air of confusion and vanity around her body.

"...oh? What is this?" Gothel said in surprise before seeing Rapunzel right next to her, still chanting her incarnation, causing her to chuckle a little. "Oh I knew you needed me, you were always so clingy Rapunzel-"

SQUISH!

"GAH!" Gothel screamed in pain as a rapier pierced her left eye, resulting in her going limp for a moment before reanimating in even more pain. "WHO-"

"I DID!"

SLASH!

"G..a..h..." she gasped as Caine sliced her throat with her blade, only for it to heal as Rapunzel's hair began to tighten around the woman's feet.

"You ruined my life!" Caine growled before slicing off Gothel's arms, which quickly regenerated after the strikes.

"I don't even know-AHHHH!" She screamed as her hands were sliced in half down towards her elbows.

"Your plan caused my father to be jailed for YOUR CRIMES!"

SQUISH!

SPLAT!

The camera slowly zooms away from the carnage, the sound of tearing flesh and falling organs echoing in the ears of Rapunzel as she continues the incarnation...her concentration focused on her task and nothing else.

All the while a pair of eyes watched on with unblinking concentration.

[So much pain, so much hurt within that criminal. It's amazing that she's still sane even after learning the truth. Then again, she might be insane already but putting up a front...but for Rapunzel? I'm surprised she's still going with the spell, usually it just tires her out. I guess being born with the powers as the Sunstone's avatar on the planet gives her more stamina than most. Still, this might take a while so perhaps we should speed up the clock and see this bloodbath's conclusion-OOOH! I did not expect her to use her sword as-oh my! That's way above the M status! Cut to later! Cut to later!]

(Six hours later)

SQUISH!

SLASH!

SQUISH!

SNAP!

"N-N-N-No more! No mo-"

SQUISH!

"GAH!" Gothel screamed in pain as her form was...healing, slowly, her clothes now filled with both blood, gray matter and various sizes of holes as Lady Caine's rapier had just pierced her lower jaw and right through her skull like a shishkabob.

[Ooooh, that one looked painful.]

"Gi-gaha..m..mer-gah..sey..."

"Did you have ANY mercy when you STOLE FROM THE KING!? WHEN YOU ALLOWED HIM TO IMPRISON MY FATHER IN JAIL FOR YOUR CRIMES!?" Lady Caine yelled while pulling out her rapier and sliced off the woman's face, blood oozing all over the ground as Rapunzel continued to chant the incarnation that allowed for Gothel's regeneration in the background.

"A-AHHHH-"

SQUISH!

As the former tormentor's neck was sliced open, her face regenerating from the previous blow, eyes started to dart around in fear as she tried to gurgle out anything from her mouth, the blood clogging her lungs and throat in the process.

BAM!

CRACK!

[Ooooh, a hard left blow with the foot to her face. Lady Caine isn't playing around at all...although she does look like she's about to pass out from exhaustion, same with Rapunzel...finally.]

"Gah...m...ga...mercy! MERCY!" she screamed in terror, her previous stoic and malevolent persona shattered after hours of torture into a husk of her former self. "Mercy!"

Lady Caine's eyes narrowed as she pointed her rapier towards the woman's mouth, ready to stab her once more through said opening like she did for the last two hundred times.

"Please have mercy! I'll do anything if you stop the pain!"

"..."

"Please-" Gothel tried to say before the rapier was shoved through her jaw, her teeth breaking upon contact with the hilt as she screamed in absolute pain.

CRUNCH!

SQUISH!

"AHHHH! MERCY!"

"..."

"Please, mercy! I'll give you my knowledge! My magic skills! My master's identity! Anything if you stop the pain! PLEASE!"

"..."

"PLEASE!" Gothel cried out in fear as she struggled to clasp both hands into a begging motion due to her 'daughter's' hair.

[Ha, karma for not only betraying her own teacher but also for hurting everything around her out of selfishness. I almost feel sorry for her...keyword on almost. Although I'm getting the feeling that this will be the final 'death' for this horrible human being.]

As the criminal stared at the woman with unfeeling rage, she felt...a twinge of pity for this...monster, but not much.

After all, this woman stole a child, with magic hair no less, on the day of her birth and then trapped her for eighteen years all the while causing all of Corona's criminal population to suffer for HER deeds.

This...lowlife trash ruined her childhood, ruined her life and for what? Hair that stopped AGING!? HER FATHER'S LIFE WAS TAKEN FOR THAT!?

"Please!"

"..."

"PLEASE! SPARE ME!"

"..."

"END THE PAIN, PLEASE!"

"...very well." Lady Caine muttered out loud as she silently gestured to the princess with her left hand, who suddenly nodded and stopped her chanting...the hair slowly returning to its normal non glowing form. "I will end it."

"T-T-Thank you! I-I'll make it up to you, I promise! I prom-"

SWISH!

SQUISH!

"AH!" Gothel gasped in shock, blood dripping from her lips as Lady Caine's rapier was plunged right through her chest and right into her heart.

"I will end the pain...and your dark existence right now." she said without empathy in her tone as she twisted the blade a few times within the former immortal's chest before pulling it out.

KATHUMP!

And watched as her father's murderer fell face first upon the dirt, her body slowly turning to dust as Rapunzel began to braid her hair again, not really noticing the blood on her hair and clothes in the heat of the moment.

[...well, that was anticlimactic. A fate that Gothel actually deserves in the grand scheme of things.]

"..."

"...let's go." The criminal said while turning around and walking away from the tower, her companion followed soon after, although her mind was slowly realizing that she was covered in blood.

(A few minutes later)

-Northern Edge of the Corona Forest-

CLOP CLOP CLOP CLOP CLOP!

"Woah, Axel! Woah!" Lady Caine said as the massive stallion, looking a little annoyed at Rapunzel due to smelling like a carcass, stopped right over a high cliffside, a small river flowing just below it. "This is the least likely place for any patrols, right?"

"Well yes, just up there is...well, I have no idea really." Rapunzel said with a chuckle. "I haven't been caught up with my geography yet."

"...right." she said before turning to face the blonde haired princess. "Hey blondie-"

"Rapunzel."

"Not calling you that. Anyway, blondie, I want to say...while you are annoying, naive, too trusting, insane-"

"Hey!"

"Stubborn, foolish and overall the most infuriating yet terrifying woman I've ever had the unfortunate fate of ever meeting...but." She said with a sigh. "You are also the one that gave me the opportunity to avenge my father so...I thank you."

"Oh, well, um...you're welcome." the princess said before noticing Lady Canine's left hand pointing towards the horizon.

"Are you sure this route will take me out of Corona?"

"Well, yes. Hopefully."

"...well then, once I get out of this kingdom I'll send you a letter, one telling you of my current predicament." she said while Rapunzel nodded. "Also you get one favor from me-"

"Um, why not three?"

[That's true, Rapunzel DID stop Lady Caine before this deviation of canon happened, and was able to survive the events of her film so...she'll be fine.]

As the princess watched her temporary partner in crime ride off into the sunset, she just felt...a little annoyed that after all of the bonding, all of the darkness they endured and all the regenerative murder they did to her former kidnapper...only for her to ride off and leave her in the middle of nowhere and far from Corona itself.

And it didn't help that by the time she returns home, EVERYONE will KNOW she not only left the castle without protection BUT also realized she released a criminal into the world!

Needless to say...she's going to get a lecture not only from her parents, but also from Cassandra, who will find ways to punish her for her rash act.

"...oh boy, this day can't get any worse." she muttered out loud as she turned around...only to notice a small dark brown owl with yellow eyes looking down from a nearby tree branch, making her eyes widen in horror. 'Oh no.'

[Oh look, Cassandra's pet Strigiform, Owl. Mmmm, never understood why she would name a pet after its own species but oh well, I'm not one to judge pet names. After all, I'm also terrible with pet names.]

"...um...hi, Owl. Um...don't tell Cassandra about this, please?"

"...hoo hoo." the bird said with a deadpan expression before flying away, making the princess' jaw drop in horror.

"Wait! Don't go! Please don't tell Cass!" she yelled while chasing after the bird, not noticing a blue winged cat appearing under a nearby tree with a wide grin. "Don't go!"

"Hehehehehehe, oh Rapunzel, always getting into trouble, even when it's not her fault. Well, this little change in the timeline will have a few semi-bigger ramifications in the future, such as Maximus' interactions with Axel and Flynts' capture on the prison ship...but overall?" Chaos said with a sigh as Rapunzel's figure faded into the early morning dawn. "It's not much different from the original canon in terms of events and the outcome will be the same as well."

As the sounds of Rapunzel's cries of frantic pleading slowly fused with the morning chatter of awakening wildlife, the winged cat turned towards the screen and waved at the audience.
