Be That As It May

When his breath came back to normal, Zoisite wiped the sweat off his brow, his body thrumming from an all too brief and yet almost everlasting encounter with Kunzite.
The room was dimly lit, but he could hear Kunzite still panting behind him, and he smiled.
"And to think you're doing all of this, just to keep me out of trouble." Zoisite spoke, still breathless as he looked to Kunzite. "Keeping me in line?"
"It's much more than that, Zoisite." Kunzite began, his deep voice never ceasing to make Zoisite weak in the knees. "As you have proven over and over again, you are a worthy adversary to the Sailor Guardians, as they're always guessing your next move."
Zoisite couldn't help but smirk at his words, pride swelling in his chest. "Well…"
"That being said, you can be reckless and impulsive, and that gives the Guardians an easy victory."
That remark earned an affronted scoff from Zoisite, who crossed his arms and turned away from Kunzite.
"Oh, the nerve of you, Kunzite." Zoisite huffed. "Even after all this time."
Kunzite chuckled, shaking his head. "Yes, even after all this time, love." He replied, moving closer and snaking an arm around Zoisite, pulling him closer.
Zoisite found himself in Kunzite's arms, a gasp out of his lips, and his sulking demeanor soon vanished.
Kunzite tilted his head and kissed Zoisite, who groaned in his mouth; he then surrendered to the moment, tasting, feeling, and savoring, their bodies colliding and as one.
