Chapter 1: New Game
4th of March/2013
Savage Lands/Earth 616
"Where am I?" A young man asked himself when he suddenly woke up in a strange fantasy themed forest before he saw what looked to be a videogame screen appear in front of his face.
[Greetings. You died but luckily you have been selected for reincarnation into the world of Marvel or more specifically the MCU iteration of a Marvel Universe with the powers of a DnD themed gamer. However, your abilities aren't as limited as the traditional tabletop RPG.
You read a lot of fanfics, so you know how game systems work. Have fun and try not to die. Your class and abilities have already been pre-selected for you.
This message is brought to you by the MGG aka the Multiversal Gamers Guild.]
"Shit. I've been isekai'd into the MCU. This is baller, but also not good for me since I have no clue where I am. Also, the fact that the Marvel Universe is insanely overpowered doesn't help…Granted the MCU nerved nearly everyone for cinematic reasons, I am still stuck." The young man said before he recalled memories of Gamer stories he read online and mentally summoned his status screen in front of him.

"Wait…Why am I a Hexblood?" Billy asked himself before looking down at his hands and saw that he still has normal looking light dark skin. He felt his head and found no horns or pointed ears and he definitely didn't have any overly long and silky hair coming from his head.
instead, however notice that he wasn't in the clothes he was wearing when he went to sleep the night prior to this and instead is dressed in a sleeveless green tunic with brown trousers and what felt like leather shoes.
"Damn. This isn't some overly detailed dream…I got sent into another world." Billy said to himself in deep thought while trying to recall memories of his family and friends from his old life, yet he could remember nothing.
He knew the people existed, but names and faces were wiped from his memory, which did sting if he was being honest, but Billy decided to push forward. He remembered the rumor that moss always grows on the north side of trees, so that is where he decided to venture.
"If you ignore the strange animal noises and nightmarish roars in the distance…This, walk through the woods isn't so bad…But still. Where exactly am I? I know a bit about hidden cities in Marvel. Like Wakanda or Nova Roma, but I have no clue what place this is." Billy said before placing both hands behind his head while he walked before he soon heard the noises of violence in the distance.
"Sounds like my first random encounter. Here's hoping that its friendly people." Billy said before he quickly jogged towards the noise and found an odd sight.
A beautiful woman in a cheetah print bra and loincloth was fighting against a man in a similar loin cloth. Both wielded spears and the woman was knocked onto the ground with the spear pointed at her neck.
Billy didn't waste time wondering what was going on and instead picked up a nearby rock and threw it at the man. The rock hit the man's head, making him wince in pain before turning to look at Billy.
"I don't know what kind of beef you have with her. But I suggest you let her go." Billy said firmly and with some courage in his voice while the two people looked at him in confusion.
"Who are you to give me orders? Ka-Zar is the defender of Savage Lands and will strike down this traitor." The newly identified Ka-Zar announced with a glare.
"You're not the defender of the Savage Lands. You're a brute trying to rule it." The woman said back before the main lowered his iron tipped spear closer to the woman's neck.
"Be silent!" Ka-Zar ordered while Billy now understood that this blonde looking Tarzan rip-off was clearly the bad guy.
"Sorry, but I can't let you hurt her." Billy said while getting into a practiced martial arts stance.
"Then you shall die as well." Ka-Zar said before roughly kicking the woman's head, which forced her eyes closed as she went still but thankfully was still breathing. In that one movement, Ka-Zar also turned and quickly threw his spear at Billy who barely managed to dodge to the right and avoid getting impaled by the fast-moving weapon.
Billy was quickly kicked by Ka-Zar and sent to the ground, but he quickly rolled away from a powerful stomp that Ka-Zar sent his way while his foot was firmly placed into the ground. Billy stood up and attacked Ka-Zar with a series of jabs that Ka-Zar blocked until the final strike which was a low kick planted right between the caveman's legs which practically had his eyes burst out of his head as he fell to his knees and clutched at his man pants and let out groans of pain.
Billy bent down and grabbed hold of Ka-Zar and with his newfound abilities, Billy successfully raised Ka-Zar into the air before supplexing him into the ground. Billy rolled on top of Ka-Zar before bringing both his hands together above his head and slammed them down onto Ka-Zar's face.
There was a satisfying crunch of nose cartilage breaking and blood spurting from the caveman's nose before he roughly kicked Billy off him and Billy was sent onto his back with a grunt of pain as he felt that the muscles in his back were now bruised and possibly worse due to the throbbing pain he felt.
"Ka-Zar will kill you now." Ka-Zar said with a scowl before quickly walking over to the downed Billy and grabbed him by the neck before raising him up with a single hand to show off his amount of strength.
Billy grabbed at the caveman's wrist to try and pry it off, but it felt like he was grabbing at steel or something, but thankfully the hand around his throat went limp as an iron spear tip burst through the left eye of Ka-Zar.
Ka-Zar's body fell to the ground freeing Billy, who saw that the woman wielding the spear was fully conscious with a sizeable bruise on the side of her head.
"Thanks for the save. So, what's you name?" Billy asked with a smirk while the cavewoman gave him a curious look before lowering her spear.
"My name is Shanna O'Hara. A new resident of the Savage Lands, relatively speaking. And you're the one I should thank. Ka-Zar was kind at first but soon became convinced that he alone could save this place by becoming its one true ruler."
"Sounds like a next level ego trip. Typical villain stuff. So, do you know we are specifically? Because I don't think were in the states." Billy replied making the attractive woman sigh.
"That is an understatement. The Savage Lands seemed to be buried deep underneath the Antarctic itself, somehow." Shanna explained before pointing upwards, allowing Billy to see that the sky itself was foggy and difficult to see. The sunlight also seemed off as it appeared to be blurry in the sky. "A form of magic projects the sun and moon which allows the land to continue to produce life and vegetation or even go through different seasons."
"I get the sense that getting here is easier than getting out."
"You'd be correct. A foul sorcerer trapped me here and from what I learned. None of the tribes even know about life above ground. Meaning that nobody knows of a possible way to bridge the Savage Lands and the cities above together or even to travel between the two." Shanna said, making Billy groan.
"Well, that's a massive headache, but there has to be some way out of here. Also, what do you mean by tribes?"
"The land is roughly similar to the first continent known as Pangea but on a smaller scale and inhabiting different sections of it are various human tribes but also tribes of Lizardmen, Bird People, Tree People, Sun People and so on. The only people I trust were Ka-Zar's former allies. The Fall People, and I'm not sure how they'll treat me after the way Ka-Zar ended their alliance."
"What do you mean?" Billy asked while Shanna gazed at the now dead Ka-Zar.
"The fool killed several Tree People and even injured the chief before we left. At first, I thought Ka-Zar was defending himself or at least that's what I wanted to believe, but now I know it was his madness that caused him to kill those people. If they don't kill me on sight, I will be amazed." Shanna explained sadly while Billy carefully considered her words before speaking.
"Well, we can't do anything by just standing around here and doing nothing. Let's go visit these Fall People and see what kind of damage control we can do." Billy suggested, which took Shanna off guard.
"What?"
"You didn't kill anybody from what I heard, so that means you've got a chance to be forgiven, and personally I need some healing herbs or something, because that Ka-Zar dude hit hard, and I am in pain." Billy said while stretching a bit.
"You're sure about this? The Fall People might not be as forgiving as you might think."
"It'll be fine. Besides, only the criminally insane could say no to a beauty like you. Now, let's start adventuring." Billy said bluntly causing the woman to blush a bit before quickly catching up to Billy who had already started walking in the complete wrong direction.

"This is concerning." Billy said grimly as he followed Shanna until she stopped dead in her tracks as both saw several tribalistic people dead on the ground along with several Lizardmen/woman.
This was a dense part of the forest and while some bodies had signs of weapons killing them, other corpses had large bite marks and chunks missing.
"This is a fresh battle. This wasn't here when Ka-Zar and I left the Fall People's village." Shanna explained while kneeling to examine the corpse of one of the Fall Tribals before quickly standing up with her spear drawn as she and Billy both heard a bestial war and turned around to see a wounded raptor dinosaur. Its scaly skin was a dark green color with feathers on certain parts of its body and covering its body is leather bindings and a saddle, which showed that it was tamed by someone. The moment it went to lunge at the duo, it was killed by an arrow stabbing through its brain.
"The hell?" Billy asked before turning to see a tribal man wearing a loincloth of animal hide along with arm bindings and chest wraps to hold the arrow quiver on his back along with the bow in his hands.
"Lizardmen attack. Get to village before more come." The archer said before running away when more roars were heard.
"Don't need to tell me twice. I'm not strong enough to punch out a dinosaur yet." Billy admitted while he and Shanna ran towards the village.
The place was large and full of tribals…Billy didn't know if that was a slur or not since he was going by Fallout logic, which might get him killed. So, he kept the term to himself.
The villagers made camp a fair distance from the forest and near a large mountain. The villagers also didn't seem happy with Shanna's return while they looked at Billy with confusion. Shanna and Billy walked to the center of the village with village warriors surrounding them with weapons until they lowered them when the village chief came up to them.
The chief was a tanned man with a muscular frame and clad in a simple loin cloth along with a necklace of dinosaur teeth around his neck followed by a holster on his back which showed off his sheathed spear and a holster on his waist which held a short sword.
"Greetings, Tongah." Shanna said to the man while Billy finally noticed the bandage wrappings around the man's stomach.
"Shanna, why have you returned and with a stranger no less? Does, Ka-Zar think that he can avoid justice by sending you and a stranger in his place?" Tongah asked sharply with narrowed eyes.
"You don't have to worry about him. We killed him." Billy said bluntly while Shanna gave him a shocked look. "What? It's true."
"Don't just say that!" Shanna shouted at Billy before Tongah spoke.
"Is that true?" He asked one of his scouts. The one that warned them of the Lizardmen in fact.
"It is my chief. I saw the corpse they left behind." The scout said while Billy was confused by just how they could have missed the archer tailing them.
"I see…Ka-Zar was once a trusted friend of mind until the madness took him. He was once worthy of being the defender of our land. But something changed within him. What assurance do I have that you two won't follow in his madness?" Tongah asked the two people surrounded by his village warriors.
"You have my word, and if that isn't enough. I give you permission to kill me if you think I'll betray you the same was Ka-Zar did." Billy replied which not only shocked his companion, but Tongah and several villagers as well.
"Are you fucking insane!" Shanna shouted.
"It's not like I'm going to walk around and murder people, so it's fine. Besides, this place is about to be attacked, and I want to help them defend it from Lizardmen." Billy admitted without a care while other villagers started to mumble before Tongah silenced them with a raised hand.
"You are a fool to say things of this gravity with little care…But I will admit to being curious about your resolve. You speak and act with little care for tactfulness, which is refreshing admittedly. And since Shanna didn't harm or kill my people, she won't face my wrath. I'll allow you to help protect my village as a test to see if your words are honest. Until then, I'll grant you limited access to my Village and what it has to offer." Tongah explained and the weapons around Billy and Shanna were lowered.
The chief returned to his tent while other villagers went their separate ways throughout the village before Shanna just sighed and showed Billy around. Billy on the other hand saw his first official quest appear before his eyes.

With a thought, Billy accepted the quest before he convinced Shanna to take him to the village healer, who literally had given Billy a pouch of healing herbs to eat.
[You have gained Fast Healing 1 for thirty minutes. Does not restore temporary hit points.]
"I've only been here for at least two or two and a half hours, and I've already gotten wrapped up in an adventure…This game power really is like a Dungeon and Dragons campaign." Billy said with a smile and a chuckle while he sat on a tree stump alone and let the fast-healing effect heal his injuries.
END!
A/N: Okay this was a fast rewrite admittedly, but I feel like this story will do better with a DnD/Pathfinder system in place that is built around the Marvel Universe abilities…Yeah.
Anyway, please fav, follow and review.
