Author's Note: My OC is an anthropomorphic Mobian cat named Rosella with pearl white fur and green eyes and shoulder length red hair with a voice same as Jodi Benson's. Anywho, hope you'll enjoy. God Jehovah bless.

Espio x OC

Espio the Chameleon, ninja/detective of Team Chaotix, become acquainted with a cat named Rosella Pearl one night at a club he visited by himself.

They get along well with one another, though Espio made absolutely certain that Charmy and Vector never found out about her. Knowing his boss, that cracked croc would think to play matchmaker.

Being forced to play the role was painful enough, but to have to be a client for matchmakers was even worse. Besides, he had just met her, so nothing was serious.

For a while, things between them were friendly enough and he even taught her a few skills in the art of ninjutsu so she could protect herself.

Rosella appreciated every bit of it, his teachings and his company. Sometimes he was a little full of himself, otherwise he was one of the best guys she had the pleasure of knowing.

He was intelligent, rational, polite, understanding, soft-spoken, and hard-working. He was comfortable around her, too. She was someone he could talk to when he at times he needed a break from Vector and Charmy's silliness.

One day, Espio and Rosella went on an outing before they came across a mystery they actually solved together. The purple chameleon was impressed and grateful for her help.

They kept spending time with each other until one evening, Espio asked her to come with him to a park where they found a balcony to admire the distant city lights.

Rosella secretly glanced in his direction every now and then, feeling shy around him lately. Espio felt a little different with her, too, and he knew why.

He was about to tell her right there, but a noise nearby caught their attention. It sounded like... romantic music.

Espio wondered where in the world that came from, then he winced when two suspects came to mind as he clenched his fists, seething in quiet fury at their discovery and intervention.

"Should we investigate?" Rosella asked.

"No," he said quickly before calmly adding, "No, I know that sound. Why don't we just go along with it?"

"Okay," she agreed, half puzzled but this seemed like the right mood. She went along with it even more when he grinned, gesturing a request for a dance.

She happily gave it, amazed he even knew how to dance, but he did know much. His moves were as graceful on the dance floor as were his skills on martial arts.

Espio thought she wasn't bad, either, as he admired the way her long hair swished around the whole time. Finally, they stopped to bow to each other before he politely asked her to wait for him for a minute.

Rosella complied, though wondering to herself why as the ninja chameleon went away to turn himself invisible before he found the source of that music.

Once he found the handheld stereo and its two familiar escorts, he gave them his gratitude and a piece of his mind.

The she-cat jumped when she heard voices, one rough and the other one young. She almost went to investigate, concerned for Espio who showed up and stopped her to reassure her.

"Everything's fine. We… just had an audience," he explained, his eyes closed, his hands behind his back.

"Ah, am I to understand the maestros were a pack of well-meaning but nosey spies?" she guessed with a grin, not thinking it was his colleagues since she hadn't met them yet.

"You understand correctly, but their interference did provide something good, though I wouldn't encourage it."

"Which is exactly what you told them," she said, leaning her arms on an iron railing. "Did they get the hint?"

"Hmm, only time will tell," was all the response he could give. Truthfully, he wasn't sure yet since one of the onlookers was relentless.

"I did enjoy that dance. As usual, you impress."

Espio smirked proudly before he cleared his throat, casually leaning his arms on the railing next to her. "You as well."

Rosella blushed as her companion did some thinking, looking the other way. "Listen."

"Yes?" she acknowledged, trying to be calm.

"We've been… having a good time with each other."

"Yes, we have," she agreed without hesitation, leaning her back against the railing as she listened intently. "The best days of my life."

He took a quiet breath as he replied, "Mine, too, and… I want to keep having these leisurely times as much as possible."

"Same…"

"And… things are getting better and better… and they may just get even better."

"They may… That would be great."

"It would."

A wind blew a leaf in Rosella's crimson locks.

"Hold still, please, you got something…" She obeyed, grateful for the favor and for the feel of his kind fingers which almost subconsciously held a lock of it.

She slowly looked at him as he brought it close to his face to fully examine it. Without thinking, he just stared at the strand of hair that he wrapped around his index finger.

The feline's face was hot though her expression was still as she liked what she was seeing.

"Rosella…"

"Yes?"

"Do you…want to stay here for a while longer?"

"I wouldn't mind."

Espio grinned in gratitude before he closed his eyes and carefully pulled her towards him. Rosella patiently played along as he leaned to be an inch away from the right side of her face.

He didn't touch her, but he silently breathed in her scent, the bashful white cat savoring this. His left hand gently leaned on her right shoulder to keep his balance as he ended up lightly leaning against her face, his horn touching her facial fur.
