It had been an entire fortnight that the Westrosy visitors had been in Mercia, when Viserys had decided to take a gander along the riverbank alone to reflect upon his daughter's appearance, her life, his life and what he knew of his brother's life. The weight of the years bore heavily on his shoulders as he pondered how terribly things had gone in his life since he had his beloved Aemma butchered. Where once he'd had a beautiful and charming, sweet spoken wife, lively, daring, bold and cheerful little princess, and a fiercely protective dragon of a brother at his side, he now had a very prudish plain-featured, overly religious wife who was more loyal to her father and her faith then to him, no children, no grandchildren, no nieces, nephews or brother and his only other "kin" was his wife's father, his so-called best friend and "closest" advisor. He used to have heirs in his brother and daughter and now both had built happy lives far from him with their spouses and children. Neither seemed eager to return to his side with their families.
As he walked, suddenly he heard the voices of children and soon stumbled upon a small group of them. Some had silver in their hair, others had violet eyes and one little girl, well, she looked just like his beloved daughter Rhaenyra.
The eldest boy, upon seeing Viserys, decided to ask who he was.
"You are not from here. You came here with Lord Corlys and have been disrupting things along with your woman. Who are you?"
Bewildered, Viserys replied, "I am King Viserys of Westeros and I believe, I believe, I'm your grandsire."
"Father's sire is dead and our mother's sire chose a worthless whore over her. If you are in fact our mother's sire, then we will have nothing to do with you."
"Yes, our mother's sire brutally betrayed her. Its due to her own strength that she's survived and we are all far better off without you," stated the eldest girl. "Come along all, we'd better report this piece of shit to Lord Uhtred and Father."
With that, the children all gave Viserys dirty looks and walked away.
