If you had asked Nyra before they arrived, how exactly she would feel about seeing her father and former "friend" again, she would have said she didn't know. However, now in the aftermath, she knew the truth. Her father had never loved or valued her. She was always just a treasure to be lorded over others and then used as he saw fit. She was never the beloved daughter like her Great Aunt Gael had been to her Great Grandmother Alysanne. Even after seeing that she had managed to thrive despite the hardships forced upon her, Viserys failed to see her as she was.
Now, as for Alicent, she had hoped in her deepest heart that her one time friend had been blindsided by her father into the cruelty she had wrought upon Nyra in those final months of her time in Westeros. Yet now she knew that Alicent had never truly been her friend. Nyra had only been a stepping stone for Alicent's ambition and a rival who had to be completely removed.
If asked, Nyra would say that the punishments delivered to Alicent were justified and that they also served to punish her father. Neither could deny that she was no longer all alone and unprotected as she was surrounded by a community of people who valued her as herself, a Lord who protected his people, a very loving and protective husband and plenty of amazing children who were her everything. Did Nyra miss her life as a princess in Westeros? Hell NO! She was free. The only ones she missed from Westeros were her uncle who was in Volantis and her dead family members like her mother and grandfather.
Sihtric had heard stories of how his wife's sire had treated her but it wasn't until he met the man that he truly came to hate him. Viserys had been given an incredible treasure by the Gods' and he never really valued her. She was an ornament in his court until he decided that she was ruined and as such no longer had any value to him. Ironically, to the present date, she remained his only child. Oh, that man desperately wanted to ruin his child's happiness, one that she had fought valiantly for, in order to possess her once again, after realizing just how strong she was and also because he still lacked any heirs. It galled Sihtric that not only did Viserys want to try to force Nyra back to the land that had rejected her, but that the man wanted to force multiple of their children to return there as well, despite how he refused to acknowledge them as being true born. Sihtric figured he wished to have them as bargaining tools for various Lords and houses in Westeros rather than a simple desire to get to know any of his grandchildren.
Alicent, however, brought the greatest feelings of hatred out of him. She had attacked, with a blade, his beloved wife and this was immediately after attempting to kill her, their precious children and himself in their sleep while simultaneously endangering the entire village by knocking over so many bazaars. He had never wanted someone dead so badly however, the punishments she was given did give him a sense of glee as she could not hide her disgrace for long, nor could he imagine that Corlys and Rhaenys wouldn't do all in their power to spread word of the truth throughout Westeros. This was on top of, as his Nyra assured him was highly likely to happen, that Viserys would actually take Osfeth's "advice" on conception, and would thoroughly humiliate Alicent in the name of seeking an heir. It would serve that two timing, opportunistic whore right to be ruined beyond that which she had done to the former princess before she finally passed from the mortal realm.
The children also hated Alicent. They struggled to see the sweet, soft spoken girl who had once been their mother's closest companion. During her time in Mercia, the woman had been nothing but a shrew who scorned them at every opportunity and belittled their parents at every turn. Then to find out that the harpy had decided that it was her right to attempt to sacrifice their family to her Gods so she could have a child of her own so that her family could finally fully steal control of Westeros for themselves, made them furious. The fact that when her attempt failed, she tried to murder their mother, well, let's just say they would have loved to have had the woman's head to decorate their home.
As bad as they hated Alicent, they hated Viserys, their supposed grandsire, far worse. He insisted that their father was a cruel and terrible man who hurt their mother, refused to acknowledge their marriage and still thought he had the right to control their mother. Worst of all though, was that, even when his bitch confessed her crimes right before him, he still defended his bitch and blamed everyone else for her crimes. He even had the gall to accuse their mother of being cruel for wanting to have his precious wife punished for everything she'd done. It seemed as though the Gods' were not happy with him and they could only hope that they never had to see the man again.
