It took less than a week before Corlys, Rhaenys and Laenor arrived in Volantis after leaving Westeros for good. When they arrived, Daemon, Laena, their children and even Sarera were there eager to greet them.

Soon enough, they arrived at their new home and sat down to tell Daemon exactly how his beloved niece whom he hadn't seen in decades truly fared.

"You would love your brother's nickname among your niece's people, Daemon," began Corlys.

"I would?" the Prince asked.

"Yes, they call him the Worm King and his wife the Whore. Nyra is surrounded by a large group of people who genuinely like and care for her now, and that is not including all of her children. Its the village butcher, baker, tanner, blacksmith, silversmith, Abbess, the town guards, the farmers, the warriors, her Lord, all of the wives and basically everyone in the village seems to be extremely loyal to one another. Her life is simple but she glows with happiness. You don't need to worry about her."

Daemon laughed at his brother's new nickname, "It suits him as he is far more a worm than a dragon. I'm glad to know Rhaenyra is safe and happy though I take it Viserys didn't like that."

"No he didn't. Nor did he appreciate getting to see her being taken by her husband in the alleyways, fields and pastures though they found it amusing. He kept trying to convince her that her husband is abusive and that she absolutely needed to return home with him where Alicent could fix her up with a proper wardrobe. Your brother hates Nyra's Mercian wardrobe. And then he could marry her to some Westrosy Lord who would, and I quote, 'give her new, proper, legitimate children so she could forget about her bastards.'"

"She obviously didn't like that, did she?" Daemon responded.

"Not at all," Rhaenys replied. "Though that wasn't the worst thing that happened."

This time Laena answered. "Was she hurt?"

Rhaenys nodded solemnly before responding, "The Whore hurt her after trying to incinerate Nyra and her family as they slept."

Daemon jumped up and began to pace.

"Cousin, please tell me that she's alive!" Daemon begged.

Rhaenys stood and walked to her cousin and embraced him.

"The Fourteen have blessed her, Daemon, and her husband and her children. They were untouched by the flames. Not one of them was even slightly burnt though all did smell of smoke."

"Then how was she hurt, Mother?" asked Laena.

"Alicent wanted to watch them burn within their home. She tried to kill the children with a torch as they escaped the burning building and she started shrieking when it didn't work. This led to her being caught by the villagers and when she saw Nyra, she confessed to her crime, managed to get loose and grabbed a blade. She then attempted to use it to stab Nyra who was able to deflect it though she ended up with a long cut on her arm. Alicent was then bound and gagged and brought before the Lord."

Sarera then spoke up, "I hope the wretch wasn't able to escape punishment there."

Corlys laughed before saying, "No, she didn't. She was stripped, spanked, whipped by Nyra's husband, face and chest burned by Nyra, had both eyes burned out and had both hands sliced off by the Lord and all of this was done in the village square. Yes, she was let leave with her life but that was about it. She and Viserys were threatened that if they ever return, they will face death though."

"Good! She deserves it for all of her numerous crimes. I bet Viserys still defended her as well," said Daemon.

"Naturally," replied Rhaenys.

With that said, the family went to supper where they shared stories and laughter, all glad to be free of Westeros.
