Artemis' Secret Gets Out
"Hi, mom" William said to the surprise of everyone. The girl quickly morphed into a forty year old woman and embraced him. He looked at Artemis and smirked at the face she was making. Whispers started swirling around the crowd trying to figure out who this man was.
"What is going on here?" Zeus thundered getting angry that he didn't know about this boy that seemed quite close to two of the virgin goddesses. "William? Is that really you?" He heard from beside him, he let go of Hestia and smiled at Annabeth, "Sure is, nosy." She rushed him and squeezed him in a hug. "The ground began to shake, "We demand to know what is happening here!" This time it was Poseidon that was angry, seeing his son's soulmate hugging another man that nobody knew.
"Calm down brothers, all will be explained in due time" Hestia tried to calm them down. "I believe that this matter can be settled after this ceremony for the demigods." Both goddesses returned to their respective places in the room and Annabeth let go of William and walked back over to Percy. William just gave him a soft smile, trying to look as little of a sexual rival as possible. Percy gave him the same smile back and William turned back towards the gods. 'I should probably kneel I guess?' He thought to himself.
William slowly approached the King of the Gods and knelt before him. "I am sorry for my interruption and for making Artemis late Lord Zeus" William said, only sorry for the first part. "I also thank you for not smiting me on sight, after I took your daughters virginity I was quite apprehensive to coming her-" "What did you just say boy?" Zeus had lightning coming off of his entire body. There was an excited shriek from the love goddess' direction. William looked over and saw Artemis as white as a ghost and his eyes went wide realizing his mistake, 'she hadn't told them you dummy!'
Only the gods had been able to hear what he said and each had a different reaction, "Father wait!" Artemis yelled, running and standing in between them. "It's not like that! I'll explain after the ceremony I promise, just don't kill him please!" She pleaded. "I will not be forced to wait an hour or more before I hear the explanation for this!" Zeus thundered, hand tightening on the Master Bolt.
"Okay, okay! I was raped!" Artemis said a little louder than she had meant to and everyone heard. This bad wording didn't help William's case as Zeus stood up, Bolt above his head, ready to bring it down on William's head like a gavel. "No! No, that was bad wording. He isn't the one that raped me, it was while I was captured under Atlas' burden, every day there were a number of monsters that came to take their turn. Then Atlas forced this man behind me to participate. At that time, he took my virginity and gave me feel the best that I have in all my immortal life." Artemis said, blushing gold at telling her father about her first sexual encounter. "I will go into more detail later if you wish, but without the ginormous audience. Please father"
Zeus looked up to see the hall full of demigods, minor gods, nature spirits and more. Basically the entire population of Olympus and it's allies were here, seeing the embarrassment on his daughters' face. Zeus sat back down "Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano, please step forward" he called as the ceremony began. Artemis thanked her father and pulled William with her and sat him at the foot of her throne.
"You hadn't told them? A little heads up would've been nice!" William said in a mental conversation with Artemis as the demigods continued to be rewarded. "Why would I have?" "That's kind of an important part of who you are and what happened on that mountain! I figured they would be able to tell even if you didn't tell them, there are several of the feelings, family, relationship type gods here after all" He reasoned logically. He felt her sigh "You're right. But all that matters is that now we have to tell them and face the consequences" she agreed.
"So Hestia is your contact on Olympus? I always had a feeling she was your mother, but then she swore on the Styx that she had no children" Artemis said curiously. "She found me after you got back, said she 'needed to meet the boy that had messed with Artemis' feelings', after that she came to me often and I started calling her mom because I'd never had one before and I figured there'd be no one better at it than Hestia" William answered honestly and was broken out of the conversation as he heard his mother's name spoken during the meeting.
He watched as a throne appeared beside Hera's and Hestia hugged the boy in the middle of the room before walking over and taking a seat in her new throne. William caught her eyes and they shared a smile at her rightful seat being returned to her. Then William looked to see who had wished back his mother's seat and was surprised to see someone he knew. Percy stood before the gods, once again turning down godhood.
"Very selfless that one, just- just like, you" Artemis said in his mind weirdly. He looked up at her to see her eyes had gone wide, she looked down at his eyes and hers went even wider before tried to compose herself. "What is it? Artemis? Artemis? Arty? Moonbeam?" He watched her face flush so he knew she heard him and was just ignoring him.
William turned as Zeus was finishing up the ceremony and announcing the party that was being held was to start immediately and that the Olympians would join them shortly. The crowd started to file out through the giant doors. "Father I request that Percy and Annabeth stay behind, one can corroborate our story and I believe I have discovered some information that pertains to the other" Artemis requested and both demigods were called back and sat at the hearth together.
"Explain your self daughter before I lose my patience on that boy" Zeus said. "I believe I know who his father is" Artemis said, wanting to confirm her suspicions before she had to recount the story.
