What PJ's Characters Are Seeing and Hearing
"...Individuals like Kronos or similar to him, whether divine or not, if they were to take control... they would only cause or hasten everyone's downfall..."
Luke Castellan as well as many other demigods such as the son of the goddess of magic Hecate, Alabaster Torrington or the son of the the goddess of revenge, Nemesis, Ethan Nakamura, who thought that Olympus would be overthrown if they supported and joined the forces of Kronos, hearing the words of the primordial goddess of destiny again was a harsh blow of reality for all of them... again
They wanted to change how their lives were, how they were treated by the gods, how their lives were surrounded by danger... they wanted their lives to be different, but hearing over and over again that the king of the Titans couldn't bring down Olympus, that he would fail at it, plus that Kronos would just be the end of the Greco-Roman pantheon... or that they really have no idea what's out there in the world... made them feel different ways
Some were made to feel like idiots or naïve, that they were deceived. To others who are worthless, defeated because the world is cruel and unjust, that the world hated them, in how difficult their lives can be as descendants of a deity. Others were angry at the world.
As well as many other sensations, but now they could only listen to the primordial one with many wishing that this was just a dream or that she would stop talking or stop showing them that they could not change anything, nor achieve what they wanted.
"As I said, there are individuals like most of the counterparts of the son of Poseidon, individuals who may be mortal, human, demigod or something else like the demigods, magicians or heroes you have seen… Individuals who do not fight not for the gods, Olympus, Atlantis or the underworld, but for the people they care about, for the world, for an ideal, for principles that they have, for what they believe is right or other reasons... like having more intelligence or common sense about who their enemies are, who would be a better or worse enemy, ally, leader or ruler... who understands who is a real evil, danger, threat... unlike many others who let themselves go because of their paranoia, resentment, anger or fury…"
Only they weren't the only ones with various thoughts in their minds as many of the gods wanted to deny the words of the primordial, but she was a much older and more powerful being than them so she had little to no reason to lie about all of this, as well as no reason to show them anything they had seen
She could have left them in total ignorance of all this and let what she had said happen, let them continue as they were, towards the oblivion that could be their future
Obviously several gods among all those present in the hall of the Olympic Council still refused to believe the words wife of the primordial of time and mother of fates, gods like Zeus or Hera and several others of the proudest, foolish, arrogant and other descriptions with which Ananke had described them a few moments ago. And it wasn't hard for the goddess to realize what the latter were thinking, whether with the powers of their domains or without them.
"Just talking about this world, it's really embarrassing how you underestimate the mortals and other beings that inhabit the world," Ananke said before someone spoke like Zeus or Hera who were about to do so, "especially when you were already witness of it."
"What does she mean by that?" asked some half-bloods in whispers among themselves, although it could be heard from the number of half-bloods who did it, so when they realized that they were not discreet, they turned pale.
"As the children said," said the ancient queen of the Titans, ahead of anyone else to ask the goddess, although her eyes conveyed a silent plea to her siblings and children that none of them do anything stupid.
If the situation were different, several of the half-bloods, whether Greeks, Romans, Amazons, or hunters, would have complained about how I call them Rhea, or if someone other than a deity had said it.
"Your situation is understandable Queen Rhea, you have never been someone who likes violence or danger, you prefer peace unlike many others," when speaking the primordial one looked at several of the gods "But to start with the different examples... have you forgotten how the Second World War ended?"
The question asked by the primordial confused the half-bloods and mortals in the room, as they did not know what Ananke was referring to, however, several of the gods tensed up due to certain memories, especially when the lady of fate spoke again
"I mean the divine side, How did your fights with the other divine pantheons end?"
"Those false gods deceived us, they di-" Zeus began to say with anger in his voice but Ananke interrupted him with a snort
"Keep telling you that, Zeus" after finishing speaking, Chronus' wife snapped her fingers and the screen showed an event that the gods involved preferred to keep as an eternal secret... until now
"DIE!" Ares screamed in total fury as he attacked a man of great stature and imposing body, his clothes were oriental from hundreds of years ago and he used what looked like a katana against the seriously injured Greek god.
Ares grunted at the sight of this event from the past, while others such as Athena or Zeus looked furiously at the primordial goddess.
Fury that increased when the screen showed that Athena is lying on the floor full of sword wounds, the ichor flowing from serious wounds, and in the same situation were Artemis and Hermes. Only Zeus was in better shape than Ares, but he was preparing a powerful shot from his master bolt
This image was shocking to all who did not know about that event, especially to the half-bloods, with several of them thinking that it must be a god, an assumption that was correct for the gods who could feel the divinity of that man
"Doesn't he look like that god?"
"He looks like that god that the son of Poseidon/Neptuno was talking to in that temple"
In addition to the fact that many could swear that the man/god against whom the god of war was fighting looked quite similar to the one who appeared to one of Percy Jackson's counterparts, when he shouted in that oriental temple
But the impact of that event was greater when they saw that Zeus shot at the back of the other god, while fighting effortlessly against Ares, but as soon as the shot occurred he attacked Ares at a speed impossible to follow for the demigods, legates, mortals and various gods, before turning around and striking the powerful lightning of Zeus deflecting all the power of the master ray to the heavens, followed by closing the distance between Zeus and him in less than a blink, making a horrible cut to Zeus from the right side of his hip to shoulder, followed by several more
"For Chaos"
"By Hades"
"Impossible"
"By Jupiter"
Many exclaimed without being able to believe that the king of Olympus, one of the three greats, was defeated, although there were some like Hades who out of the corner of their eyes saw that the camera that Hephaestus had created by not being able to keep his hands still without creating or repairing something, seemed to be recording him
"Susanoo defeated them without much effort... a single Shinto god defeated 5 Olympian gods, 5 of the strongest gods in this pantheon" Anake literally twisted the knife at the wounded prides as she said that.
But it seemed that this was not enough for the primordial goddess since she changed the memory to a past event where Ares was shown fighting with everything against a man who wore clothes from the ancient peoples of Russia, he had brown hair, although small parts of beard and hair were gray.
BOOM!
Only that the fight was being lost by Ares, and badly, since the other god with each blow of his axe was accompanied by electric explosions and fire. The worst part was that the god Ares was fighting didn't seem to be exerting himself, as if he wanted to be doing anything other than fighting Ares, as if the god of war was nothing more than a nuisance to him
"Or the time Ares tried to start a war in the mortal world between the human nation in which Olympus now stands and the lands of the Slavs that are now known as what was the Soviet Union. When he wrestle with Perun less than three decades ago"
Learning more about other pantheons and that gods from those pantheons surpassed gods who were members of the Olympic Council as opposed to what they have learned about what is likely to happen in the future, that Kronos or Gaia could not bring down Olympus, now occupied the minds of most half-bloods.
"But, just as you underestimate the other pantheons when some of you personally know the power they have, it makes some of us primordials question your intelligence."
Zeus had enough, no one dared to speak like that to the gods, much less on Olympus
"I AM THE KING OF THE GODS, I WILL NOT TOLERATE-" Kronos and Rhea's youngest son began to cry out in a thunderous voice before he was interrupted, while the sounds of a thunderstorm could be heard in formation
If Zeus had not been so focused on the primordial of destiny, it would have been seen that Hades manipulated the shadows or that Poseidon summoned water to imprison him on his throne
"For once in your life leave that damn pride/arrogance!" exclaimed furiously the kings of the sea and the underworld
"You should follow your own advice, since the three of them are quite similar in some ways"
Ananke's last comment annoyed both kings a bit, but they couldn't deny that similarity either, especially when their own wives, daughters, and two of their sisters have said it to both of them on several occasions.
"Besides, each of the three is a king, and there are several kings of the gods, it would be better for them not to forget that, just as they don't forget that they should stop underestimating mortals."
To the great fury of Ares, as well as embarrassment to the members of the Roman legion, since the god of war in his Roman facet was one of their main gods of Rome, the primordial goddess again showed another event from the past, but unlike the previous two this one occurred approximately three thousand years ago.
Where everyone could see the god of war in a war of humans, a war that they quickly identified as one of the Greek wars with the gods realizing that they were watching the Trojan War (1)
"Diomedes" Athena couldn't help but say the name of the mortal Ares was fighting, a mortal she helped and favored in that fight, but the goddess's voice was heard by many.
Then the image changed to show various Greek ships, triremes and other vessels of the time approaching the beach. But what they saw previously helped them recognize that it was the arrival of the Achaeans to Troy, when the winds were denied to the Achaeans at the time of reaching Troy, but the vision shown by the primordial goddess focused on ships rowing towards the beach while the rest preferred to wait for the wind instead of the sailors getting tired from rowing
The deck was shown where one of the soldiers approached a blond man with teal eyes, with a armor sticking out above the rest
"Achilles," several of the gods said the name of the famous Greek warrior, helping the half-bloods to identify where the ships that were ahead of the rest of the fleet were from
"{My lord}" the soldier greeted Achilles, before asking, "{Shouldn't we wait for the others?}"
"{Did we come to fight or not?}" Thetis's son asked again
"{But Agamemnon ordered-}"
"{Who are you fighting for? Answer me}" interrupted Achilles
"{For you, sir}"
Here he turned to look at him to say, "{Then fight for me let Agamemnon's deers fight for him}"
Hestia as well as her mother made a face, at what would probably be shown to the half-bloods of this era, since they did not have the same way of thinking as their brothers from thousands of years ago, so their duplicates quickly removed the younger half-bloods who were with them from the throne room... again
The image then changed again to show Achilles' ships before focusing on the men on the ship he was on.
"{My sword brothers... I choose to fight with you and not with thousands of soldiers}"
Chiron suppressed a sigh remembering Achilles' desire for glory, despite how exhausted he was by the curse/blessing of the River Styx after some of the fights he had, and the old centaur had no doubt that in the Trojan War it was too often
"{Let no one forget that we are dangerous... that we are lions}" said Achilles before pointing his hand towards Troy, as they were about to reach the beach, "What is beyond the beach?... waiting?"Then he turned to see his men who had been encouraged by his words "{IMMORTALITY… GO AFTER IT… IT'S YOURS}"
"Immortality," some gods could be heard snorting at what Achilles said, considering that the idea of the immortality of the son of Thetis was very wrong, only they did not go unnoticed
"Immortality is not always living forever, but being remembered," Ananke said, looking towards the gods who mocked, as the screen showed how Achilles and the Myrmidons took the beach and looted the temple of Apollo that was nearby
Despite all the time that had passed, seeing again what happened to his temple, infuriated Apollo, while for mortals and most demigods to see one of the greatest wars of antiquity, as it occurred, where humans were killed by other humans, without the censorship or falsehood that movies can have, series or any representation of such events was... It was too much for them.
Many looked away as was the case with the younger half-bloods who were not with the duplicates of Hestia and Rhea, of the young Frank Zhang, the McLeans and others. Many found it difficult to believe, see or accept the savagery and bloodlust that the Achaeans had during the Trojan War, and even fewer realized that skill and prowess in combat was on another level, that they were better at fighting than them... that they were demigods or legacies or blessed.
Many of them will not be able to forget the visions of ancient wars, of the savagery and slaughter that mortals today lacked. Visions that would affect many for the next nights...

On the other hand, the half-bloods who were taken out of the underworld as descendants of the seas were observing the reactions of most of those present on Olympus
The son of Medusa snorted in disappointment at what for him was a lack and great lack of true warriors today, a feeling that was shared by Ares himself despite the annoyance and fury he felt at being shown some of the times in which he was defeated
While the first horseman of Pegasus envied the half-bloods of today by seeing clearly how protected or blessed they have been from the evils and cruelty of the world, although that was shared on some level by brother Theseus and his nephew Hippolytus, because the fact that today's half-bloods react this way, at the age that some were, means that their lives were easier than those they had in ancient Greece, as well as that of their contemporaries.
"Why were we taken from the underworld and brought to Olympus?" Hippolytus asked his father, hoping that he has some idea, since he doubted very much that it was to envy the half-bloods of this era or to feel disappointment/pity at how ill-prepared they may be for the harshness and cruelty of the world.
"I have no idea," Theseus said, looking at the demigods of today, carefully observing the way they stood, reacted, and spoke. He knew that it would be difficult to judge them by comparing them to the demigods of ancient Greece, because of how different the societies of each era were, but he could think of some possibilities "Maybe... it's to help them"
"Help them?"
"Maybe to fight the threats of this era or to train them... are two possibilities, but I might be wrong."
"But it's probably, considering how bad they are" Chryasor said having listened to them, while frowning at the half-bloods of today, but earning dry glances from his brother and nephew, which Medusa's son easily ignored "Although if that's the case, it's strange that I'm here... Or maybe it could be that we prepare the father's youngest son, wherever he is, so that he doesn't end up like the rest" Saying the last thing, he tried to locate where his half-brother was, since the primordial recognized him that way a few moments ago.
The other two descendants of the sea didn't need any more to know that Chryasor was referring to Percy Jackson, but they stopped talking when the vision that Anake showed them changed again to show 300 warriors meeting a larger group.
—|—|—|—|—|—|—|—|—|—|—|—
The 300 warriors were immediately recognized, and the most pleased of all was Ares, who put aside the fury he felt towards the primordial for showing his defeats when he recognized Leonidas and his brave Spartans.
However, the god also thought of the other Spartan they saw earlier, thinking that it must be a counterpart of Leonidas and he was not the only one who wondered or thought that.
"{A morning full of surprises, King Leonidas}" The leader of the other group greeted the Spartan king, but he was incredulous at the number of Spartan soldiers
"Leonidas!" exclaimed the half-bloods when they heard the name of the ancient king of Sparta, especially the sons of Ares when they saw one of the greatest kings and warriors of Greece, one who is still admired and remembered
"{It can't be!}"
"{Is that his army?}"
"{There can't be more than 200}"
"{Is it his entire army?}"
"{Silence!}" exclaimed the leader of the other group at the words of his men, before turning his focus to the Spartan king who was only looking at them. "{We found out that Sparta would fight... we want to join your forces}"
"{If you're looking for blood... welcome}"
"{Do you have a handful of soldiers... against Xerxes?}" asked the leader of the Arcadians, not being able to believe that they were so few.
Ares couldn't help but snort at the words of the Arcadian, since for him and many more of the spectators, mainly gods, just by seeing the men who followed him, they knew that they were not warriors, nor soldiers.
"Do you think so?" Leonidas asked with a small smile, but in his voice there was amusement at what the Arcadian said, then he focused on an Arcadian soldier "{You, tell me... what is your profession?}"
"{I'm a potter... my lord}"
"{And you... Arcadian... What is your profession?}"
"{Sculptor, my lord}"
"{I see}"
"{And you?}" Leonidas focused on one more
"{Carpenter, my lord}" replied the last man to whom the Spartan king turned, while the leader of the Arcadian and several others looked at Leonidas confused by the questions he asked, but slowly he began to realize why he asked them
Several half-bloods were the ones who had not yet realized what the most observant or the gods saw, now they did it with the answers given by the Arcadians, after all it was well known that in Sparta the only profession of men was to be a soldier of Sparta
Leonidas then looked at his men before raising his voice, "{SPARTANS, WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION?!}" —
"AU, AU, AU!"
"{Do you understand?}" the Spartan king looked at the leader of the Arcadians "{I have more soldiers than you}"
For Sally Jackson, as well as some others, hearing and understanding what the legendary Spartan king was referring to, made them think that the lady of destiny was trying to tell them that today's demigods were not soldiers, nor warriors like those of before. And that was what they had to be if they wanted to survive, so Sally again felt guilty for not helping or finding a way for her son to be better prepared for what his life will be like.
(1) I have read some versions of the myth of Troy involving Ares and Athena, in one Diomedes fights side by side with Athena against Ares, in others it is just Athena vs Ares and in another it is a Diomedes favored by Athena fighting against Ares
The primordial of fate has again shown them glimpses of the gods' mistakes in underestimating the rest of the world, where members of the Olympic Council were involved and surpassed by gods from other pantheons. Events that tried to keep hidden the half-bloods of the current era, as well as other gods members of the Greco-Roman pantheon.
Also reminding them not to underestimate mortals, by showing visions of the past where the mortals of ancient Greece were much more skilled than today in fighting with swords, spears and other weapons that today mortals stopped using for war. Details they had ignored or forgotten due to their pride and arrogance
Only these visions were not to the liking of several of the spectators in the throne room of the Olympic Council.
