Becky Lynch trudged to the locker room after working out, her knee was killing her but it would be okay. Charlotte Flair appeared in her line of vision, Ashley was her best friend but sometimes she was too much. Rebecca could tell by the big smirk on her face that she wasn't going to like whatever she was going to say.
"Ash, that's never a good sign. What did you do?" Becky flicked her hazel gaze over to Ashley's blue eyes.
"I heard from a little birdie that Colby is going to ask you out for the most romantic holiday of the year." Ashley clapped her hands together.
"You're insane, it's not even like that. Not between Colby and I. We're just friends." Becky shakes her head, she wasn't sure who she was trying to convince.
"Becks, I've seen that man almost snap his neck because he heard you laugh and wanted to see why you were laughing. But yeah, keep telling yourself you're just friends.' Ashley rolled her eyes with an amused chuckle, walking towards the exit.
"Is she right? Are we more than friends? We can't be, can we? I can't date someone in the same industry, I don't have time to date!" Becky paced back and forth, grabbing her bag and making a beeline for the exit.
"Becks." Colby nodded at her, of course he would be leaving the same time she was. Becky slowly dragged her eyes up to his, she couldn't help what shot out of her mouth.
"Asshole." With that parting word, she rushed out to her car. Becky started her car and facepalmed herself, what was wrong with her? Did she have some sort of school girl crush on Colby? Would Colby even feel the same way about her? This was too much, she sped out of the parking lot wanting to forget about today.
"Yeah, maybe I am an asshole. Thanks Becky." Colby muttered, bewildered by her exchange. Colby wasn't sure that he'd heard Becky curse more than five times in the entire time he'd known her.
"Well, I've been trying to tell you that for years buddy." Roman Reigns patted him on the shoulder, with a good natured chuckle.
"There was no conversation, all I said was her name and she called me an asshole. I can't think of anything I've done to Becky." Colby racked his brain for some sort of explanation.
"Women are strange, bro. You don't have to front with me, I know you like her way more than you let on. Maybe Becky feels the same way." Roman shrugged.
"Well yeah but, Becky is never going to date me. I don't think I'm worthy of her and we're in the same industry. That's like, a rule for both of us. I don't know." Colby scratched the back of his neck.
"You never know until you try, bro. Talk to Becky." Roman left to go workout and Colby's phone rang, Becky's picture flashed across the screen.
"I thought supposedly I was an asshole?" Colby smirked, pressing the phone to his ear.
"Don't remind me of what I said, Colby. Just get your arse out to this parking lot before I come in there and kick your ass. We both know I could do that." He could tell Becky was rolling her eyes.
"Yes ma'am." Colby smirked, walking out to the parking lot and getting into the passenger seat of Becky's car.
"I'm so sorry, I'm not good at this." Becky winced.
"At what?" Colby asked.
"This…feeling shite. Hell, I broke up with my ex because I didn't have time for my feelings. This is never going to work." Colby could see Becky's mind going a million miles an hour.
"Rebecca, it would make sense. We spend the most time with each other, a lot of wrestlers get together and stay together. Look at Naomi and Jimmy. We don't have to jump into something we aren't ready for, we don't have to put a label on things." Colby grabbed both of her hands in his.
"I'm tired of you always being right." Becky playfully scowled at him.
"It's a curse." Colby smirked.
"Okay, so what are we doing on Valentine's Day? Nobody's ever taken me out before." Becky sighed, facing him.
"Didn't you have a whole boyfriend? Why didn't he take you out for Valentine's Day? Isn't that like, the main job of a boyfriend? What about you and Fergal?" Colby couldn't hide his utter shock.
"It wasn't Fergal's fault, we were both always traveling and didn't have time. We ended up growing apart which is fine but, we were never together for an extended amount of time. My ex was kind of an ass, he kind of put everything over me. I've always just went out with the girls." Becky shrugged.
"Well damn, now it's going to have to be a surprise." Colby says, knowing Becky hated surprises.
"Colby, I have to know what we're doing so I know what to wear!" Becky protested.
"Don't worry, you'll love it. I know you. See you soon." Seth smirked, kissing her cheek and getting out of the car.
"Asshole." Becky smirked, pulling out of the parking lot.
