I am very, very sorry for the total lack of updates. Sadly, my health went from annoying to worse, and it impacted me both physically and mentally. I am back, although can't promise as regular updates as I used to make. But I will do my best.
I also added a small post-credits scene to the previous chapter, and I'm going to start answering all the recent comments by the time you will see this update.
Without further ado, to the chapter.

In the Watchtower, things were calm. Justice League was finally back to full strength, at least physically, and everyone got enough counseling to be (mostly) fine.
The only source of conflict recently was Batman. The League members gathered after surviving (barely) his contingency plans, and discussion was heated, to put it mildly. At some point, Wonder Woman angrily proposed to fire Batman from the League and bring Cyborg in, since he was the only one of them who actually managed to deal with the contingency plan by himself.

In the end, Batman stayed in the League – barely. Superman voted for him to stay and convinced him to agree. Somehow. How exactly, even J'onn with his telepathic abilities didn't know.

However, as an end result, the atmosphere in the Watchtower was quite tense. Wonder Woman and Batman were checking the Watchtower sensors, looking for the stealthy ship that slipped by them moments ago. Both were working in cold silence, with Superman standing next to them and silently wishing they could one day go back to the old Justice League. Even in the beginning, when they barely knew each other, they were trusting each other more than this.

Moments later, Watchtower, the enormous, reinforced and armored space station shook like a small boat during the storm as a Boom Tube opened inside it. The shaking quickly stopped, only to be replaced by the sounds of powerful blows, raised voices, and then silence as all members of the Justice League left to Apokolips.
The small detail of a cloaked ship slipped their minds, as they, once again, left Earth unprotected.

Beast Boy was bored. After all the crazy things happening in the last year, and earlier when he was still with Doom Patrol, he initially took it as a good moment to unwind and relax a bit. Especially after his rather traumatizing experience with Agamemnon Contingency.

But after months of barely anything happening, he was simply bored. There was a limit to how much time he could kill with video games, and unlike Robin he wasn't satisfied with endless training. And he wasn't the only person who was bored, or highly irritable still.

While they were much better mentally with every passing week, it was still far from perfect. They were getting on each other's nerves sometimes, save for Starfire of course who was just too sweet and happy for that, but was instead worrying about them falling apart again. Finally (mostly) free from the dark room, she was spending every moment she could outside, often accompanied by Beast Boy himself, just taking in the sun and the sky and trying to forget all the problems and fights between Titans. It was summer, so it was pretty hot, but for the Tamaranian it was a perfect weather.

Bored, Beast Boy wandered around the Tower in search of anything to do. Normally, he would just change into something – flying as a bird was never boring – but he was still reluctant to do so after losing control of Sakutia virus recently. And everyone else was busy with something, leaving him alone with not-so-happy thoughts. And boredom. Mostly boredom.

He found Cyborg in the garage, welding something inside his car. It was pretty loud, so unfortunately the oldest Titan didn't hear him coming, until Beast Boy was next to him, loudly saying "Whatcha doin'?"

Cyborg jumped in surprise, hitting his head on the car's hood. He almost dropped the welder; and while the model he used had a dead-man switch built-in and would not set things on fire if dropped, unfortunately he managed to keep a hold on it while losing control of his arm and flailing the welder inside the car.
As a result, there was fire. Right next to a very delicate piece of electronics that was usually protected by reinforced armor, but now was exposed to temperatures much higher than it could take. The delicate electronics, worth more than entire normal car, went 'pop' and died quietly.

Cyborg grabbed the fire extinguisher and sprayed the car with it reflexively; he knew how bad fire could be, and it was an instinct to take care of it first no matter what. Only moments later he realized what happened and turned to Beast Boy, showing his very, very angry face. His red eye, if it actually had laser installed in it, would probably leave Beast Boy with severe burns, it was so hot with anger.

"Um, I think I'm gonna go now bye!" Beast Boy run out of the garage, leaving Cyborg alone with his car. The half-mechanical Titan was tempted to run after him, but in the end just sighed and started evaluating the damage.
In the meantime, while replacing few parts, he started thinking about his friend. Normally, green stain was sometimes annoying, but still a great person to have around. Optimistic, energetic (at least when it wasn't early morning), and always trying to light the mood. A little too invested in social issues, but the more Cyborg read and learned about topics Beast Boy mentioned the more he started to see things around him he never did.
He wasn't sure if he was happy to see them now. The world seemed worse every time green stain opened his mouth to comment on it, and worse he was mostly right.

But regardless, while Beast Boy was a very nice person, he was also a little annoying sometimes – something he himself occasionally admitted. After months of sitting in the Tower, with most of them unable to leave for long or at all, it was easy to get on each other's nerves.
His train of thought was stopped by a feeling of cold that was unmistakable. Raven's powers just got out of control, seriously enough that he felt it few floor below. He winced; yep, green stain just pissed off even more Titans. Cyborg sighed, putting his tools down after making sure nothing was on fire (or at risk of being on fire). He needed to go and try to calm everyone down, and hopefully avoid a major incident.

Beast Boy, a little disheveled after Raven threw him out of her room (and then Robin dropkicked him by accident) really had enough of this day. Without thinking, he went to the roof and changed into a bird, flying towards Jump City and enjoying the freedom of flight. There was still the uncomfortable feeling, stirred by bad memories, but he managed to ignore them and just fly over the bay.
The moment he was above the land again, he landed and changed into a dog, and went on a stroll around the city. It was Sunday, middle of the day, but the city park was surprisingly empty. He only now remembered – there was some kind of late summer festival there, maybe he could go there? Sadly, he would probably have to go as some animal – he was too recognizable with his green skin and everyone would pay too much attention to him – but still, better this then this eternal boredom he was experiencing lately.

He turned around and hit something. No, someone – another dog, bigger and heavier than him. And this dog was also… green? What?

Confused, Beast Boy suddenly heard the weird humming sound behind him. When he changed into a human and turned around to see what it was, it was already too late. He grabbed his communicator, but the green dog kicked him and run away suddenly, causing the Titan to fall on the ground directly in the path of some kind of teleport beam.

Moments later, only his discarded communicator remained.

Beast Boy woke up, confused. Did he blacked out? Was it a side effect of the teleport beam, or was he stunned on arrival? He was lying down on something soft, and… was that a collar on his neck?!

He jumped up, and felt a sudden pull. It seems the collar was connected to a red rope, which in turn was connected to a wall. Metal wall, probably some underground facility or space ship, judging by the sound.
And in front of him was some kind of… alien? Robot? Both? A person with either stone, or metallic, robot-like head. Looking intently at Beast Boy.

"Look, I know how it looks, but you got the wrong dog! The other one is running away right now!" Beast Boy started, only to be interrupted.

"Bad pet. You should know by now, that you can't escape!" The ship was apparently equipped with universal translator, since Beast Boy could understand his captor just fine

"I am not… you know what, fine, I guess I can just prove it." Beast Boy changed into w monkey, but to his surprise, the collar was still on his neck. Pterodactyl form proved equally useless in escaping; growing to huge-sized animals only made him wear huge-sized collar. And somehow, even the smallest fish, smaller than original size of the collar, was still unable to escape it!

Changing his plan, Beast Boy tried to bite through the rope. However, he quickly found out that it's red color wasn't just paint – it was surrounded with some kind of force field that made it impervious to his bites.

"You're funny!" The alien said, laughing in a deep voice. "Now, change again! You're so much better than my old one!"

"Wait, what? You know I'm not your old dog, and you still keep me here?!" Beast Boy exploded, stopping the futile efforts to bit through the rope.

"Of course! You are funny! Now change, or else." His captor pointed an ominously-looking pilot at Beast Boy; obviously controller for shock collar. Great.

"You know, I have bad memories with changes recently, so maybe we caAAAAAUGH!" Yep, shock collar. And very high-powered one. He was sure he either already had or was on the verge of having burns. It took him a long moment to regain his voice after this shock.

"Not cool! What are, some slaver?" Beast Boy quickly run through his options in his mind. He was trained by Doom Patrol in many techniques used in hostage and kidnapping situation, and while this one was not fully covered he still quickly formulated a plan. "Keeping sentient beings is illegal, you know. Green Lantern Corp really dislikes slavery."

"Oh, don't worry, my little pet, we're going far, far away! It was a nice trip, but it's time to go." The alien went to the ship's main console, apparently deciding on leaving Earth. That was bad. Beast Boy had serious doubt about Justice League's capabilities of stopping this ship – since apparently they just let it land here. What were they good for, aside from beating other superheroes up?!

Focus, Beast Boy, he thought while quickly evaluating his options. He could actually change into something that would just tear the handle of the rope out of the wall – rope may be indestructible, but the ship not so much. He could also change into something so big and strong he could just demolish the ship and force it to crash land… which was less than ideal, so he left this plan as a last resort. In the meantime, he used his fingers to check and to his surprise found out that the collar's lock was actually very primitive and easy to open. If he had few minutes, he could…

He was interrupted by a loud explosion. He instantly recognized it, even muffled by the ship's hull; high-power sonic cannon.. Cavalry has arrived, it seems.

"What!" Alien screamed in surprise, almost falling on the floor.

"Should have strapped in your chair first. You know, safety first?" Beast Boy was proud of this joke. While the look of confusion and shock on his captor's face upon hearing it was worth it by itself, it wasn't the main reason.

It slowed down the alien's reaction by just enough to make it impossible for him to reach the chair before another hit shook the ship. The apparent slaver hit his head on the wall and fell down, visibly stunned. Perfect. Beast Boy in the meantime already managed to find the lock's mechanism weak points and was working on them. The moment the ship touched the ground, he was free.

"Hey! Come back here, don't you dare run away!" The alien came to his senses enough to shout. He started… growing? Was he also a shapeshifter?!

"Oh, you got it all wrong. You think I'm running away?" Beast Boy, not waiting for whatever transformation was taking place, change into and elephant – almost bursting through the ceiling in the process – and stepped on his captor with full strength and weight.
And then lifted all the other legs and put all his body weight on this one leg.

Titans outside heard a scream of pain, and moments later a big, robot-like alien crashed through the floor of his ship, holding his torso. Moments later Beast Boy, deciding it was not enough, changed into a blue whale.
The ship fell apart, and the full weight of the biggest animal on Earth fell on the alien.

Screams of pain were muffled this time, but seeing as his opponent was finally unable to fight back, Beast Boy changed back and stood next to a small crater he made with his body moment ago. His captor shriked back to his original size, and was holding his torso with one arm, other being broken in at least two places. Thick, black liquid was seeping through his fingers, was it blood? Shit, did he overdo it?!

"Beast Boy!" Other Titans run to him, with Raven instantly starting to heal his captor. "That was excessive, you could have killed him!" Robin started his lecture, only to stop as Beast Boy moved his head and showed other Titans burns on his neck. They were even worse than he originally thought; very visible, red and stinging.

After a second of silence, few things happened at once. Raven barely managed to control her powers, although shadows started dancing in a very weird way around them. Starfire power up a starbolt, fury visible on her face, and Cyborg seemed torn between arming his cannon and stopping his friends from doing something stupid.

Fortunately, both him and Robin managed to calm down Starfire in a moment, while Beast Boy just stepped away and took a deep breath to calm himself. "Everyone, calm down." Cyborg said, waving his hands. "Let's not make Raven's work even harder here."

"Yeah, I agree, whatever she does is really spooky." Said the green dog next to them. Beast Boy instantly recognized him.

"You! You are the one who kicked me into this teleporter!"

"He did what?!" Starfire now turned to the green intruder, who instantly grew much smaller – both physically and metaphorically.

"Woah, woah, easy there blaster lady. It was just a nice adventure! How could I know he'll pissed off Soto enough to zap him, he never zapped me! I didn't even remember he has this remote!"

"Doggy! You're back!" The Alien – apparently named Soto – got up, or at least tried; he was still too weak to do so. Fortunately, Titans got the translators in their communicators, with the help of Titan Tower and Watchtower, so they could understand him even with his ship being a wreck.

"Yes, I am, and this time it's your turn to wear the collar. You know the deal Soto, you lost this round." The dog smiled at his… captor? Owner? Everyone else looked at the two aliens, confused.

"Alright, I am lost now. What is going on here?!" Cyborg asked the question that was on everyone's mind.

"He lost the game on this planet, so now I take the ship and he's the pet until he wins." The dog answered, causing even more confusion among Titans. "It's just a game, people, relax a little. A funny prank, nothing more."

"… Even leaving out how you two treated Beast Boy, there is still a matter of what you did to Raven. Don't think you're not on thin ice yourself." Robin answered, his eyes so cold the alien shapeshifter shuddered under his gaze. "We already had issues with pranksters hurting others, and aliens kidnapping members of my team, multiple times. At this point, I am starting to have enough of both. You are under arrest until we figure out what to do with you."

"Hey, not fair! Look, I'm sorry, but it was just a game! Soto, say something!" Shapeshifter looked at the other alien, only to see that Soto lost consciousness. "Great."

"Wait, what did you do to Raven?" Beast Boy asked, suddenly catching up with the discussion.

"Um, erm…"

The shapeshifter, now squeezed under Cyborg's metal foot, was looking directly at the deployed and powered-up sonic cannon. It was so close he could hear the hum of machinery, and had no doubt that being hit with it full-power point-blank would be lethal even for him.

"It seems you need some lessons in consent, my friend." Cyborg's voice was colder than his metal foot. "You are lucky Raven seems unwilling to press charges against you, but you're not getting out of this so easily."

"Woah, dude, chill!" The dog said, visibly nervous. "It was just a prank! I just jumped on her and… licked her… face…" He slowly stopped, hearing the sonic cannon becoming louder and louder. "I'm sorry?"

"Nothing, really, I didn't do a thing. Just some innocent prank."

Robin facepalmed and sighed. Why, oh why was he cursed with this type of problems? Aliens trying to kidnap his friends, slavers, both at the same time sometimes, crazy magicians, wooden puppets, at this point he would take normal supervillains every time over this craziness. If this trend continues, he will start missing Gotham, even with its revolving doors of Arkham.

"All right, everyone. Since this ship is not flying anywhere, thanks to Beast Boy, we're gonna keep our guests in the Tower for now. I will try to call the League… again… and when they respond we will hand our prisoners over."

When bruised, battered and saddened Justice League came back from Apokolips, there wasn't any rejoicing. Yes, they won – technically. The New Gods also learned a valuable lesson, and Darkseid was defeated alongside Brainiac.

However, not everyone was satisfied. Superman and Batman left in disagreement, Hawkgirl was wounded and melancholic, lost in thoughts about her home. J'onn was also saddened, seeing all this. And they all knew, from Superman's stories, that Apokolips will remain a hellish nightmare, even after Darkseid's death. Green Lantern Corps already confirmed that while Apokolips stopped being a danger to anyone outside, it was consumed by a civil war on a horrible scale, with potentially millions dying in coming years, and no one had enough power to stop it right now.

Everyone was lost in thought and saddened. In the end, it was Green Lantern who first noticed the blinking lights of two emergency messages – first about the unidentified ship, and second being high-priority communication from Teen Titans.

Already feeling his headache approaching, he called the Titans Tower.

"Finally! What took you so long? There was another alien attack on my team!" Yes, that was the headache starting. Green Lantern groaned and strongly considered taking some painkillers as Robin started his very angry monologue. "Why do you even have this Watchtower in orbit?!"

This chapter was reworked a lot, since the original premise is… weird at times. I understand, time constrains and such, but I was always weirded out by it a little. And Soto and his dog were very exotic even for the Teen Titans standards.
Once again, sorry for the delay. I hope next chapter comes out much quicker, especially since we start the Terra arc, which also features the return of creepy Slade and his machinations. We'll see how Titans will deal with all of it when the time comes.
