Battle training
The next day, as Goten was flying through the city undetected, he wonders if his parents don't actually think his dead. Because his dad would visit heaven to check on him and if he sees that he's not there it would be suspicious. 'maybe by now they know am not actually dead and they're trying to figure out how to get me back' Goten ponders on the thought.
He sets down on the school grounds and sees that they were only a few students in the school he wonders if he came a little too early. His thought was confirmed when he enters his classroom and only finds a few students at their desks. A few waved their hands at Goten but some like Todoroki didn't even move at all. Goten waved his hand back and went to his assigned seat. His seat was at the middle row closest to the window and behind Midoriya. Speaking of which, after hanging out with him and uraraka on the train yesterday, he quickly befriends the two. He learned a little about bakugo, Midoriya explained that the two used to be childhood friends but grew apart when bakugo got his quirk and deku didn't. Goten felt bad for Midoriya and disliked bakugo for what he did but at least Midoriya somehow got his quirk.
As time passed, more and more students start to fill in the class the last few students made their way and soon all desks were filled. General chatter died down as Mr. Aizawa entered the room, looking the same as yesterday. Aizawa explains that UA isn't just one of the best hero schools it was a school regardless, so the teachers began to teach their students usual subjects like math, English and science to help them with general education. While most of the students thought that it was a waste of time, others chose to accept it as it would help them in their growth to becoming heroes.
"Man this is so boring" Goten groaned as he listened to present mic's English lesson "this is the same as back home"
"All right, now which is the correct punctuation to use in a sentence that shows excitement?" The teacher read out to the class with only tenya and momo responding on most occasions.
'man who knew that hero schools would be the same as a normal school' Goten thought as he leaned on his hand 'Just a few more classes and it will be over' Goten thought as he took a deep yawn struggling to stay awake.
later in the day, Goten walked along with Midoriya, Uraraka and Tenya as they made their way to the cafeteria. Hundreds of other students lined up as they grabbed food from the counter, taking their trays over to the many tables lined inside the massive hall.
"I still can't believe we made it to UA it feels like a dream" said Uraraka
"I know it's amazing" Midoriya replied
"Well we did work hard and did our best to enter this school so we shouldn't be surprised. Besides we came here to be inspirational, law abiding heroes" tenya replied
"hey guys, how's it going" a familiar voice calls out to them the three turn to see kirishima, kaminari, mina, jiro, momo, ojiro and tsuyu approach them
"oh hey guys" uraraka replies to them as they sit together. They discuss about their quirks and how they faired in the entrance exam
"Man thank goodness Aizawa was kidding when he said he was going to expel someone" kaminari says which everyone agrees to
"Hey I've been meaning to ask, did any of you watch the news about a mysterious guy that stopped a bank robbery a few days ago?" Momo asks the group
"Yeah i saw it on the internet that guy was awesome. The way he stopped those robbers was manly" Kirishima replied
"You should have seen the way he caught those bullets though it was so cool he moved his hands at super speed it was awesome" Kaminari
"Yeah and not only that when mount lady and kamui woods went to arrest him he knocked them out" ojiro replied
"woah seriously no way!" Kaminari replied
"I'm serious, watch" ojiro said as he pulled out his phone to show them. He forwarded the part to when MT lady and kamui wanted to apprehend him and like he said, he was able to escape kamui's binds and knock out Mt lady until he was stopped by a passing all might. Luckily the video ended there so no one was able to see the vigilante's face.
"Man that dude must be strong to be able out knock Mt lady." kirishima says
"it's a good thing all might was there to arrest him. Though what he did was noble, but vigilantism is still illegal" Tenya says folding his arms
"But you got to admit, the guy was cool. Hey where's Goten i saw him walking with you guys?" Mina asks
"I think he's right over ther-HUH" Deku replied looking at Goten with a shocked face the others looked and have the same expression as him. They all had shocked faces looking at Goten to see that his tray was piled up with different kinds of food ranging from noodles to rice, chicken, steak, eggs both boiled and fried. and fish. and he was devouring everything at once. As he was eating he sees his friend s looking at him
"is something wrong?" he innocently asks
"Dude why the hell do you have so much food? you could feed an entire family with all that! And how are you able to eat it so quickly!" ojiro exclaimed
"I have a high metabolism and my quirk drains a lot of my energy so i need to keep eating" Goten explained which makes everyone understand.
"So Goten i've been meaning to ask you this but, what exactly is your quirk?" Midoriya asks
"Yeah man you're fast strong and during the entrance exam i saw you shooting lasers at the bots" kaminari said which surprises everyone when he said the last part 'shooting lasers'
Everyone looks at Goten waiting for an answer
"Well my quirk allows me to control the energy in my body enabling me to enhance my speed, strength and other senses. And as for the lasers i can shoot energy blast from my body." Goten answers hoping they would buy it.
"woah that's an amazing quirk" said Momo
"wait so you can enhance your strength and speed to however you want? that's awesome" Midoriya complimented writing the information on his notebook
"Man it sounds overpowered" kaminari said feeling jealous
"Dude that is so manly" kirishima said
"Also sorry to ask but is that tail real" ojiro asks pointing at Goten's tail
"Oh yeah it's very real. I got that from my dad also it's very sensitive" Goten said swishing his tail in front of the others
"The way it moves reminds me of a cat" uraraka said eyeing it
"actually judging by the way it's shaped and the way it curls, it looks more like a monkey's tail than a cat specifically a capuchin monkey" Momo said studying the tail
"Either way it's very cute Goten" mina said stroking the tail
Goten blushed and rubbed the back of his head chuckling at the compliments his new friends were giving him while wagging his tail. Unbeknownst to the group, their conversation was heard from another table to the right by shoto Todoroki and he was glancing at Goten as if he was studying him.
'I've never heard of a quirk like that before you're a bigger threat than i thought.' He thought as he returned to his lunch something tells him that this 'Goten' is a lot different from the other students
An hour later in 1a classroom
"I AM HERE" Everyone widened their in shock as the number one hero All Might was standing by their door "OPENING THE DOOR LIKE A HERO"
"I can't believe it's really all might!" kaminari said in awe
"so he really is a teacher this year is gonna be awesome!" kirishima exclaimed clenching his fist.
"look, He's wearing his silver age costume" asui pointed out
"Man am getting goosebumps it's so retro" ojiro said with a smile.
"This feels like a dream" said sato
While everyone was admiring All might, Goten just stared at him with nostalgia 'Man he reminds me a lot of big brother Gohan when he dresses up as the saiyaman. man i miss him'Goten thought as he remembered his brother during his saiyaman days.
"WELCOME TO THE IMPORTANT CLASS AT UA HIGH. THINK OF IT AS HEROING 101. HERE YOU WILL LEARN THE BASICS OF BEING A PRO AND WHAT IT MEANS TO FIGHT IN THE NAME OF GOOD. LET'S GET INTO IT. TODAY'S LESSON WILL PULL NO PUNCHES." All might said as he showed a card with the word battle in it
"Fight training" bakugo said excitedly
"ONE OF THE KEYS OF BEING A HERO IS LOOKING GOOD!" The large hero suddenly pulled out a remote and once he clicked a button multiple racks slid out from the wall revealing 21 different cases. Each one was numbered to the corresponding seat in the class.
"oh wow that means our hero costumes are done" uraraka cheered as she spotted her number.
"NOW LETS GET SUITED UP!"
Training ground beta
All might was currently standing in the middle of training ground beta, waiting for his students to come out with their new costumes. it wasn't long before he began to hear footsteps from the shadows
"THEY SAY CLOTHES MAKE THE PROS YOUNG ONES, TAKE THIS TO HEART, FROM NOW ON, YOU ARE ALL HEROES IN TRAINING!" soon enough, a large majority of the class appeared in front of all might, each wearing their unique cosumes. "THIS IS GETTING ME REVVED UP. YOU LOOK SO COOL NOW SHALL WE START NEWBIES?"
"Um sir Goten hasn't come out yet." Uraraka called out
"That monkey better not keep me waiting" bakugo quietly said growling
The sound of footsteps caught everyone's attention as they turned around only to see a figure walk towards them. The figure's suit consists of a battle armor (the armor is similar to vegeta's but the yellow is orange and the shoulder pads are shorter) black armbands and black boots with orange soles, a helmet (the one that resembles saiyaman) a short sleeved black bodysuit top and grey gi pants and a cape with the top black and the under orange. Everyone was amazed by the costume. (remember Goten had to redesign his costume so that no one would recognize him as the vigilante from before)
"Woah"
"So cool"
"Awesome"
"wow is that Goten?" Uraraka said as her and Midoriya were walking up to the figure "Goten"
"Hey guys" Goten waved
"dude that costume is so cool" kaminari said
"I've never seen a costume like that" tsuyu complinted
"thanks guys"
As some of the students were gushing about Goten's costume, bakugo was too busy glaring at him.
'Stupid monkey, just because he has a cool suit doesn't mean shit i'll still put him in the ground' bakugo thought while clenching his fist.
"THAT COSTUME IS FANTASTIC YOUNG GOTEN FITTING FOR A HERO IN TRAINING! NOW THEN LET'S MOVE ON TO THE LESSON"
"Ground beta? sir are we partaking in more cityscape exercises?" Tenya asked
"NOPE, WE WILL BE MOVING ON TO INDOOR ANTI-PERSONNEL BATTLES! WHILE THERE ARE PLENTY OF FIGHTING ON THE STREETS, IT'S ACTUALLY THE INSIDE OF THE BUILDINGS SUCH AS THIS OFFICE BUILDING THAT'LL BE CONFINEMENT, HOUSE ARREST, OR BLACK MARKET DEALS, THE MOST CLEVER VILLAINS DRAW THEIR BATTLES INDOORS! YOU'LL BE SPLIT INTO TEAMS OF TWO. IT'LL BE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE NOW LETS GET STARTED." All might started drawing the lots.
One by one the class went up and drew lots, when it was Goten's turn, he reached his hand into the box and pulled out a small peice of paper with the letter J on it
"Anybody got a J?" Goten called out.
"Hey i got a J" kirishima answered as he walked towards Goten "Guess we're a team huh?"
"Yeah let's do our best" Goten fist bumped kirishima
As the rest of the class went inside, Goten stood still as he kept his eyes on Midoriya who was trying to avoid bakugo's glare.
"Hey kirishima go on ahead i'll be there in a minute"
"Okay i'll see you up there" kirishima replied before following the rest of his class. Goten then made his way towards Midoriya
"Hey Midoriya, don't worry about him. You got this!" Goten said with a smile
Midoriya stared at Goten before tightening his grip and giving Goten a nod. Goten smirked at him before going back to the observation room when he did he gave bakugo a menacing glare. This surprises him for a split moment before he growled.
authors note: (so i'm gonna skip deku and bakugo's match cause i'm not in the mood to write it so we'll just skip right to Goten's match)
"ALL RIGHT YOUNG GOTEN AND KIRISHIMA, YOU'RE UP NEXT AGAINST TEAM H" All might said as he looks over to them
"AW Yeah. You ready for this kirishima!?" Goten exclaimed
"Heck yeah i am let's win this thing Bro" kirishima exclaimed back
Goten could only chuckle at his enthusiastic attitude.
"Say dude, i never got to ask but what's your quirk?"
"My quirk is called hardening. Basically i can make any part of my body as hard as stone!" kirishima said before demonstrating his power.
"Woah that's awesome" Goten complimented
Battle building
"So this is the bomb we gotta protect?" Goten said tapping the said bomb
"Yeah seems easy enough" kirishima said stretching. As the two were busy getting redy, Goten sensed tokoyami and tsuyu's presence
"Get ready, they're here" Goten said getting ready
"Really? how'd ya know" kirishima said being alert
"not only can i control my energy, i can also sense other people's energy"
"Woah seriously, that can be really helpful when searching for villains and hostages" kirishima complimented
Before they could talk more, Goten quickly pushed himself and kirishima out of the way from a striking black claw. they look over to the left to see tokoyami standing there. tokoyami released dark shadow on the two
"I'll take care of him, you watch the bomb" Goten ordered before heading straight for the shadow punching it in the face. the shadow was doing his best to block the strikes but his opponent was too strong and had to move back
'Damn he's too strong, dark shadow can't keep blocking his attacks' Tokoyami thought as he was trying to figure out a way to incapacitate Goten. Kirishima was watching the fight he forgot about tsuyu who was sneaking her way undetected to the bomb luckily, Goten sensed her energy and fired a bki blast in front of her way keeping her from going any further
"kirishima focus, stop her from getting close to the bomb" Goten warned
"On it" kirishima answered before heading straight for tsuyu trying to grab her. as that was going on, Tokoyami kept on trying to hit Goten, but he was too fast for his dark shadow. As Goten was dodging the attacks he gave a direct kick straight to dark shadows head. Strong enough to make him retreat back to tokoyami.
"I'm sorry tokoyami, he's too strong" dark shadow said feeling bad "It's all right dark shadow, we just need to find a way to-" tokoyami said before falling unconscious.
Goten quickly sped up to his back and used a neck chop knocking him out cold. Back to kirishima and tsuyu, both were still at it trying to apprehend the other. Tsuyu lacked in strength and durability but she makes up for it with speed and agility. as she jumped past kirishima, she quickly used her tongue around his legs and dangled him up she looked over to see tokoyami on the ground unconscious and Goten nowhere to be found. before she could do or say anything, she was knocked unconscious releasing Kirishima from her grasp and falling to the ground with Goten at the back. Both heroes were knocked out leaving the villains as the winner of the match.
monitor room
All might and class 1A were surprised at how quickly the match ended.
"TEAM J ARE THE WINNERS OF THIS MATCH" All might announced
"Woah Goten's a beast he ended that match so quickly!" kaminari exclaimed
"Yeah and not just that he didn't even break a sweat fighting against them" said ojiro who was surprised at the match
"I kinda feel bad for them, they didn't get a chance to do anything" said Ashido
"Man I'm just glad i wasn't paired up against him" said mineta who now feared the boy
As the students were talking about the match, bakugo was stunned at Goten's match with an angry face and clenching fists this mtch just made him more angry. Taking this guy down won't be as easy as he thought. And as for Todoroki, he was as equally surprised at how quickly the match ended but he figured something out
'They weren't that strong so he went easy on them, he better not make that mistake with me' Todoroki thought as he stared at Goten.
Goten and kirishima made it back to the rest of the class and all might congratulated on their victory
"GOOD JOB TEAMS. THE FOUR OF YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB ON YOUR ROLES. NOW Class, WHO CAN TELL WHO THE MVP OF THIS MATCH IS" All might questioned the class
"All might sir, i believe the MVP was Son Goten. He already knew when tsuyu and tokoyami would arrive and was fast enough to apprehend the both of them. Though on the heroes side, they were smart to come up with a plan were one of them would distract the villains while the other would secure the bomb, but they didn't account for Goten's quick reflexes and senses. And as for the villains, kirishima almost costed their win. he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings but luckily Goten was able to stop tsuyu in her tracks" yaoyorozu deduced feeling proud for her presentation.
"EXCELLENT DEDUCTION YOUNG YAOYOROZU. ONCE AGAIN YOU SHOWED THAT YOU HAVE AN AMAZING EYE" all might praised
"Thank you sir" yaoyorozu bowed
The rest of the matches went on with some being completely one sided while some had the stakes high.
2 hours later
"WELL DONE FUTURE PROS, YOU ALL DID WELL TODAY. I CAN TELL THERES A BRIGHT FUTURE WAITING FOR YOU KIDS YOU SHOULD BE PROUD" All might congratulated the students
"It's nice to hear some words of encouragement after our homeroom class" asui said getting nods from everyone
"Yeah our last teacher was a real downer. really killed my mood" jiro said as everyone agreed with her
"TAKE CARE KIDS. NOW WATCH HOW A HERO MAKES AN EXIT LIKE HE'S GOT SOMEWHERE TO GOO!" All might said before turning around and running for the exit.
"Okay, now that is a hero" Kaminari said amazed by the hero
