Snape Goes Swimming

"Lily, I don't think this is such a good idea," Severus said as Lily led him by the hand to the boathouse. It was their final night as Hogwarts students, and they were currently in the middle of breaking curfew, which they, as Head Boy and Girl, were meant to enforce. "What if we're seen?"

"We'll say we're patrolling," Lily said with a smirk. "Don't be such an old grump."

Severus rolled his eyes as they arrived in the boathouse; the moonlight was reflecting off the water and dancing brightly along the stone and woodwork. "I don't understand-"

"Strip," Lily said, taking off her clothes.

Severus felt his face burn. "Miss Evans, if you think this is a good excuse to flaunt the rules-"

"Oh, stop it, Sev," Lily said, waving at him dismissively. "We're just taking a dip."

"... you know I can't swim," Severus mumbled.

"I'm going to teach you," Lily said, finally down to her bra and knickers. Her stomach had the subtlest hint of a baby bump. "Hurry up."

Severus looked down at his clothes, hesitating to take any of them off.

"... I can help you, if you want," Lily said seductively, approaching him before taking hold of his robes.

"It's not that," Severus said. "What if someone sees me?"

"We've been over that-"

"Not that. I mean... you know."

Lily's playful demeanor slowly receded as she understood what he meant. "No one's going to look. Although, considering what's happened this year, they'd probably think it was from-"

"You promise no one's going to see us?" Severus asked.

Lily nodded. "What if you get into the water while undressing? I can help."

Severus let out a reluctant sigh and took off his outer robe, dropping it carelessly to the dock floor as he sat down by the edge of the water and began unlacing his shoes. he took them off one by one, followed by his socks, before standing back up and removing his trousers. Lily slipped into the water as Severus sat back down, undoing his tie and removing it before unbuttoning his shirt. He slipped his arms out, keeping himself covered, and gradually slid into the water with Lily, leaving the shirt on the dock. "What do I do now?" Severus asked as he gripped the edge of the dock.

"I just want you to kick your legs forward and backward slightly," Lily said as she set herself beside him. "Tiny kicks."

Severus did as he was told, and he started kicking his legs.

"I thought you knew how to swim," Lily mused. "You got to the merfolk easily enough."

"I was flying through the water," Severus said.

Lily stopped. "Then why am I teaching you how to swim, then?!"

"I didn't ask you to!"

"It... I wanted this to... wait a minute, you said you didn't want to get into the water because you couldn't swim!"

"That was an excuse," Severus admitted. "I just didn't want to take my clothes off."

There was a moment of silence before Lily slid under Severus arms and set herself between him and the dock. She wrapped her legs around his waist, her arms around his back, and Severus felt her warm, soft skin against his. "You're not ugly, Sev," she said quietly. "You need to stop thinking you are."

"I'm not delusional," Severus said blankly. "Scars aren't attractive to anyone."

Lily gave Severus a sour look before kissing the scar on his neck. "How many times do I have to prove it to you?"

"... preferably, as many times as you like," Severus said, his body growing warmer. He placed a kiss on her lips as he gently pressed her between himself and the dock. He drew away, watching in awe as the moonlight flickered off the water and onto her pale skin, and said, "Just one more night, right?"

Lily readjusted her hold on Severus by wrapping her arms around his neck and squeezing more tightly around his hips, raising herself higher so that her eye level was above his. "One more night."
