Strange Accommodations

Severus knocked on the door.

"Yes?"

"It's Severus."

The door opened. Severus look down at the house-elf. "Severus Snape has a pillow and blanket."

Severus looked down at his occupied arm. "Lily's not in a good mood."

"... it was the language lesson, wasn't it?" Snarky asked.

"Apparently, Alice-Marie can't yet properly read the word 'phoenix', and Harry can't pronounce the name 'Fawkes'. Needless to say, I won't be teaching the children English anytime soon."

Snarky eyed Severus and stepped aside. "Snarky will sleep under his bed, sir."

"No, I'll just sleep on the floor." Severus entered into his old room and laid the blanket out on the floor beside the bed.

Snarky hopped back onto his child-sized bed and said, "Good night, sir. Snarky hopes Severus Snape will be in his own bedroom tomorrow evening."

"So do I," Severus replied as he laid down. "Good night, Snarky."

Severus wasn't in his own bedroom the next evening.
