A/N: It has been years since I wrote a Charmed fanfiction story. In fact, my very first fanfiction story on the website was a Piper and Leo romance story. I quickly moved onto writing other fanfiction stories of other shows. Now I've decided to get back into writing Charmed stories, and this idea has been on my mind for a while and I finally had a chance to start writing. Enjoy the first chapter.

Chapter One

Prue was working hard when she heard a slight knock at the door. She called the person to come in, and it was Tanya with the food cart. They smiled at each other as Tanya pushed the cart closer to the desk. "Hey Tanya. I appreciate you saving the last turkey sandwich for me, but I think I'm going to pass today. My stomach has been queasy all morning."

"I know the feeling," Tanya said. "I have been trying to shake this flu for the last few days. I made an appointment with my doctor tomorrow morning to make sure everything's fine."

Prue suppressed a smile. "I'm sure you have nothing to worry about."

It was hard keeping the secret from Tanya, but she was used to keeping secrets by now. And Tanya would find out soon enough.

"Thanks. I hope you feel better too," Tanya said. "Are you sure you don't want the turkey sandwich?"

"Maybe I will save it for later," Prue said, and Tanya handed it over to her. She handed the money over in return. "Thanks again." They said their goodbyes before Tanya moved onto the next office.

Prue stared at the turkey sandwich, but she wasn't hungry. She turned back to her computer before her mind went to the conversation between her and Tanya. They were both thinking that they were trying to shaking off the flu, but Tanya was unknowingly pregnant. Prue wasn't pregnant. Was she?

"No, I couldn't be," Prue muttered to herself. She returned to work. Yet, the nagging feeling wouldn't go away.

There was only one way to find out.

She grabbed her purse and she headed out the door. She nearly ran into her boss as she opened the door. She spoke before he could say anything. "Rex, I'm sorry. Do you mind if I leave early? I'm not feeling well."

This wasn't the first time she had to ask to leave work early, but this was the first time where she didn't feel like she was lying.

Rex nodded. "Of course. I understand. Let me know if you need anything. I do hope you feel better soon."

Prue didn't say anything as she walked past him. She hurried through the corridor and to the elevator. As she continued to the parking lot, she wanted to believe she was overreacting. She wanted to believe her nausea was part of the flu, but the nausea wasn't the only sign she had been experiencing lately. She had ignored the signs because she didn't want to miss a day of work.

It took her several minutes staring at the boxes before she grabbed two home pregnancy tests. As much as she was afraid for the test to be positive, it never hurts to check twice.

When she arrived home, she called out for Phoebe, hoping not to hear an answer. She didn't want her sister to find out about it right away. There was silence. She let out a relieved sigh and hurried upstairs to the bathroom. She closed the door and took the first box out of the bag.

Prue followed the instructions. It wasn't long before she was staring at the pregnancy test, waiting impatiently for the results.

Please be negative. Please be negative.

It had to be negative. She didn't know if she could handle becoming a mother so soon after finding out she was a witch. She was still adjusting to being a witch and handling her powers. She wasn't just any witch. She was a Charmed One, and that placed a huge target on her back. One that she didn't wish on her future children.

Future. That was the key word here. Future children. She wasn't ready to have a baby right now.

The timer beeped, signaling she could check the stick. She glanced down at the stick. After double checking, she let out a relieved sigh.

Not pregnant.

"Thank god," she muttered to herself. She glanced at the second box. Should she do it again, just to make sure it was negative?

"Prue, is that you?" Phoebe called through the door.

"Yeah, I'll be right out," Prue called back before she quickly hid the boxes in the cupboard. She flew the door open. "Hey Phoebe."

"Hey, I didn't expect you to come home early. Is everything okay?"

Prue nodded. "Yeah, I couldn't concentrate. I couldn't stop thinking about Hannah's confession during the truth spell. So I thought I would hit the book and see what I could find out about her and Rex."

It wasn't completely a lie. Hannah's confession had been at the back on her mind.

Phoebe raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Rex? Your boss? Why would you think he's involved?"

"Because Hannah's his assistant," Prue said. "There's no way he wouldn't know who she really is." She disappeared through the hallway stairs leading towards the attic without waiting for a response from Phoebe.

Over the next few days, Prue kept her focus on her work. She didn't find anything in the Book of Shadows about Rex and Hannah. However, she still wanted to be cautious. She didn't trust Hannah, and she wanted to trust Rex. But she had a gut feeling that she couldn't trust him either.

The flu-like symptoms continued to progress. Prue still refused to believe that she was pregnant, considering she did take a pregnancy test. It was only after she attempted to use her powers during a practice run and the object only moved an inch or two that she knew something was wrong.

Not wanting to alarm her sisters, she didn't tell them. Instead, she went out to the pharmacy and bought another pregnancy test. Once she got home, she went straight to the bathroom and pulled out the second pregnancy box from its hiding place. Luckily, it hadn't been moved.

She read the instructions a couple of times to make sure she was doing it correctly. After a few agonizing minutes, she checked the stick.

To her shock and horror, the test was positive. How could that be? How could it be positive when the first one had been been negative? There had to be a mistake. She pulled out the second box and did the test again.

It was the same result.

Positive.

She was pregnant.

She couldn't believe it. She couldn't believe she was pregnant with Andy's child. And it wasn't just going to be any child. It was going to be a child of a Charmed One, a witch. What was she going to do?

Prue kept staring at the test as if she was expecting it to change from positive to negative, but it stayed the same.

Should she tell her sisters? Secrets didn't last long in the Halliwell family, especially after what happened with the Truth Spell.

She couldn't tell her sisters. Not now. She was still processing the news.

How was she going to do this? How was she going to raise a baby, especially when she was still learning about being a witch? This was too much, too soon. She wished she had some guidance. Someone who had gone through this before.

The faint sound of the doorbell snapped Prue out of her daydream. She cleaned up her things and hurried downstairs to see who it was.

Piper had already opened the door. To everyone's surprise, it was Leo.

"Leo, what are you doing here? I don't think we scheduled an appointment today, did we?" Prue asked.

"Yeah, you wanted me to work on the chandelier," Leo said.

Prue groaned. "You're right. We did schedule something for today. I'm sorry. I haven't been myself lately. Why don't you come on in?"

"I'll show you where it is," Piper offered.

Leo followed Piper into the other room while Phoebe's gaze stayed on Prue.

Phoebe looked at her incredulously. "What's going on with you? Forgetting an appointment would be something I would forget to mention, not you."

Prue shrugged. "I just have been a little preoccupied."

It wasn't exactly a lie.

Phoebe adamantly shook her head. "No, I'm not buying it. You've been acting strange ever since you cast the Truth Spell. What's up?" She looked at her sister hard. "It's Andy, isn't it? I know it was hard hearing what Andy thought when you told him you're a witch. I wouldn't be hurt either, but you can't hold it against him either. Do you remember when we found out we were witches? You didn't want to believe it either. Is there any way he might be able to come around and embrace the idea of you being a witch?"

"No, he deserves a normal life," Prue said. She wanted to add more, but she remained quiet.

"If it's not about Andy, what is it about?" Phoebe asked as Piper joined them. "Because this isn't like you. Now what is going on with you? You know you can tell us."

Prue let out a heavy sigh. There was no point in trying to hide it from them. "I'm pregnant." There were surprised gasps from both sisters. They started asking questions at the same time. Prue quickly stopped them. "Whoa, I can only handle one question at a time."

Phoebe spoke up first. "What are you going to do? Are you going to tell Andy?"

"I don't know," Prue admitted. "It was hard enough telling Andy about me being a witch. So I really don't think I should tell him about our magical baby."

"Prue, don't you think he is going to find out eventually? And you don't have to tell him about the magical part, just the baby part," Phoebe pointed out.

"The more you keep it from him, the more he will be upset when he finds out the truth," Piper added.

Prue sighed. "I know. And I'll tell him soon." Piper and Phoebe exchanged looks. They weren't convinced. "I will. I promise. Just don't tell Andy before I do."

"You do realize who you are talking to, right?" Piper asked her as Phoebe gave her a nudge.

Phoebe crossed her arms. "I haven't told anyone we're witches, have I? I think I can avoid telling Andy that Prue's pregnant before she does. You are going to tell Andy, right? Because he deserves to know."

"I will tell him, but it will only be after I'm ready to tell him," Prue said.

"Don't worry. We won't say a word," Piper promised.

Phoebe nodded in agreement. Her eyes widened in shock. "Prue, Piper, look out," she called.

Prue's and Piper's eyes followed their sister's gaze to the intruder. It was obvious he was a demon. He was holding a fireball in his hands. He threw the fireball towards the sisters. Prue narrowed her eyes and attempted to use her telekinesis to throw it back at him.

However, the fireball continued to go straight for them and the sisters ducked behind the couch. They covered themselves as the fireball hit the wall, leaving a burned mark behind.

"What happened to your powers?" Phoebe asked.

Prue groaned inwardly. How could she had forgotten about her powers acting up? "Apparently, my powers don't mix well with me being pregnant."

"What are we going to do?" Piper asked. "We can't vanquish him without your help, especially since my freezing power doesn't last long."

Their hearts stopped as Leo's voice echoed through the hall. "Oh my god! Leo!" Piper exclaimed.

They emerged from their hiding spot in time to see the demon aim his fireball at Leo. Piper threw her hands towards the fireball. Phoebe ran over to Leo and pushed him to the ground.

Leo parted his lips, but Phoebe didn't let him answer. "Stay down."

Prue attempted to move the frozen fireball, but it remained in place. The demon smirked as he conjured up another fireball. As he was about to throw the fireball at Prue and Piper, Phoebe called for his attention.

"Hey, you want to play ball?" she called.

In her hands was a baseball bat. She gripped her hands around the handle. She smacked the frozen fireball back towards the demon. The demon's eyes went wide. He screamed as he was burned to death. He disappeared, leaving no trace of him.

The sisters let out a huge sigh of relief. Piper rushed to Leo's side. Prue eyed the baseball bat in Phoebe's hands. "Where did you get the baseball bat?"

"I don't know," Phoebe said as she examined the baseball bat. "It wasn't here before. It appeared just like magic." There was a short pause. She lowered her voice. "Speaking of magic, what are we going to tell Leo?"

Prue was quiet. Good question. How were they going to explain this one to him?

Piper helped Leo up. "Are you alright?"

Leo nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. What about you? Are you guys alright?"

"Yeah, it's a good thing I had this baseball bat," Phoebe said. "I was able to scare the intruder off." Her gaze went to the baseball bat. There were initials engraved in the wood. "Wait, is this yours?"

All eyes went to Leo. He looked at them innocently. "What do you mean?"

"It has L.W. at the top," Phoebe said as she showed them the baseball bat. Sure enough, there were initials at the cap. L.W. "As in Leo Wyatt."

Piper frowned. "That's funny. I don't remember you bringing it in with you."

Prue narrowed her eyes. "It's almost as if you knew we needed it."

There was silence as the sisters kept their gaze on their guest. What was going on? Why did Leo bring his baseball bat with him?

Leo let out a heavy sigh. "You're right. I can't keep lying to you. I'll explain everything, but first, you need to know that your baby is in danger."
